OUCH!!! Schiff gets the schive.
“Trump lawyers Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow repeatedly ripped into Democrats, especially Schiff, on the first day of arguments in the Senate impeachment trial, as the House Intelligence Committee chairman — who is serving as the top Democratic impeachment manager — sat up straight in his chair and didn’t take his eyes off his accusers.
The lawyers invoked Schiff’s name over and over again, accusing him of hiding documents, conducting an unfair impeachment inquiry and fabricating the text of the July 25 phone call between Trump and the president of Ukraine.
Schiff kept his eyes wide open and glued on Sekulow, possibly aghast that Trump’s lawyers were putting him on trial.
Then it was Cipollone’s turn. He said it was “difficult” to hear Schiff tell his “tale.” He laid into Schiff even more and accused his staff of working with the Ukraine whistleblower, “contrary to his prior statements.”

While several of his 2020 rivals — including Sens. Bernie Sanders from Vermont, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota — are stuck in Washington, D.C., serving as jurors in the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, Buttigieg was seizing the opportunity to get face-to-face time with Iowa voters.
“By having better hands guided by better values on those pulleys and levers of American government,” Buttigieg told the crowd. “So I’m going to look to you to spread that sense of hope to those that you know.”
The candidate took a brief pause, which was met with complete silence by attendees.
“Come on!” Buttigieg exclaimed and awkwardly chuckled, to which the crowd applauded.

This is how evedence is FABRICATED. Good to go. Right Dougy?
CLAIM: President Donald Trump believes that he has absolute power under Article II of the U.S. Constitution and must therefore be impeached.
VERDICT: False. Trump was talking specifically about the power to fire Robert Mueller.
Both Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) presented deceptively edited video that cur out the context of Trump’s words.
Evidence for that impeachable offence.
That’s LIB “Truth” Dougy has been bragging about.

Chris Wallace: Mitch McConnell ‘backed down’ on trial rules because he’s losing control of the Senate
“I think it’s fair to assume that the only reason Mitch McConnell backed down — and he did back down, which is very rare for him,” Wallace continued, “is because… there were at least four Republican senators who said, ‘Let’s soften this a little bit.’”
The veteran Fox News host said that it could be a sign that senators are open to having witnesses in the trial.
“It does indicate that the whole question of witnesses is more up for grabs than many of us thought,” Wallace stated. “It would seem to indicate that some moderate senators… are expressing concern. Just remember, Mitch McConnell is the majority leader but if he doesn’t have a majority, if the Democrats stand firm with 47 [senators] and then get four Republicans to jump over… then it’s Chuck Schumer who is really the majority leader.”

For those who have been following the Norway story, she lost her government as predicted.
NORWAY’S PM LOSES MAJORITY FOR ADMITTING ISIS FIGHTER
The problem is that it may be difficult to convict ISIS fighters under the exacting standards that apply in criminal cases. Moreover, judges in countries like Norway may be sympathetic to the defendants, just as portions of the American legal community were sympathetic to al Qaeda terrorists and suspected terrorists.
That’s why, according to one expert quoted by the Post, “even people who are usually quite liberal on immigration issues [opposed] Norwegian authorities helping [the ISIS woman] to get back to Norway.” One might have thought that President Trump, who isn’t usually quite liberal on immigration issues, would have more sympathy for this sentiment.
In any case, the Norwegian prime minister’s loss of her majority sends a warning to other European leaders who are under pressure to repatriate ISIS fighters. The pressure doesn’t come in just one direction. There is political pressure coming from the opposite direction.

In a series of party-line votes punctuated by hours of contentious debate by the House impeachment managers and the president’s legal team, Senate Republicans turned back repeated attempts by Democrats to subpoena documents from the White House, the State Department and the Pentagon that could shed light on the core charges against Mr. Trump. More votes were to come throughout the evening on Democratic efforts to subpoena current and former White House officials, although the outcome was expected to be the same.

I would not start connecting the dots just yet. Chris Wallace was speculating to the meaning of Cocaine Mitch allowing some more hours and docs in the process. We all know that there will be a vote on witnesses after a week of 12 hour long days of speeches and opening arguments. I choose to not be involved in watching speeches at moment. Maybe in a couple of days, but I doubt it.
But, go ahead and speculate on the deeper meaning of what an outside observer like Wallace utters. I wish I had a dollar for every time Team Blue posted campaign finance laws here word for word in the Stormy Daniels’s Saga…without understands what those words meant in context of the law and context.

Ambassador Gui Congyou caused a diplomatic furore over the weekend after giving an interview to Sweden’s public broadcaster SVT, in which he said that some local media representatives “have a habit of criticizing, accusing and smearing China.” He then went on to compare the relationship between Swedish media and China to one in which “a 48kg weight boxer keeps challenging an 86kg weight boxer to a fight.”
Gui Congyou, who was appointed ambassador to Sweden in 2017, has repeatedly angered lawmakers in the country with his remarks over the years. Commenting on Swedish media’s coverage of Gui Minhai, Gui Congyou in December cited a Chinese proverb: “We treat our friends with fine wine, but we have shotguns for our enemies.”

Virginia. Once the Dems took over the State House, guns are just the beginning.
“Gun control, though, is only part of the Democratic legislature’s agenda.
To pull the state’s economic policy to the left, Virginia Democrats have proposed measures to weaken the state’s right-to-work law, curb greenhouse-gas emissions, and raise the minimum wage.
To do the same for its social policy, they’ve introduced a bill that would repeal conscience protections for Catholic and other religious adoption agencies, effectively shutting those agencies down, and a bill that would require all public elementary and secondary schools to allow students who identify as transgender to participate on the sports teams and use the locker-rooms and showers of their preference.
On abortion, one bill would remove parental–consent requirements, 24-hour waiting periods, and ultrasound requirements. Another bill would declare that a “pregnant person has a fundamental right to choose to carry a pregnancy to term, give birth to a child, or terminate a pregnancy.” Yet another proposes a constitutional amendment enshrining a right to abortion: “an individual’s right to personal reproductive autonomy is central to the enjoyment of life and liberty and shall not be denied or infringed upon unless justified by a compelling interest of the Commonwealth and achieved by the least restrictive means.” When the budget comes up for debate, Democrats will have the opportunity to provide taxpayer funding of elective abortions.”

Big news is that Bolton’s book will be released perhaps in a month and it won’t be easy on Trump.
” Bolton is going to reveal some of what he saw in his upcoming book, people familiar with the matter told The New York Times. The book, which is almost finished, is reportedly going to detail Bolton’s time in the White House, events related to Russia and Venezuela, and his interactions with other administration officials, some of whom reportedly don’t come across very well, including former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney.
The Ukraine scandal, which is at the center of Trump’s impeachment, will fill at least some pages, too, and Bolton is expected to share some of his observations about Trump’s efforts to pressure Ukrainian officials into announcing an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
Bolton has said he’s prepared to testify should the Senate issue a subpoena, but it’s unclear if the upper chamber will do so. Read more at The New York Times. Tim O’Donnell”

“White House Counsel Pat Cipolline blasted House impeachment manager Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) on the floor of the Senate early Wednesday morning during the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump for making “false accusations” against the president and the Senate.
“The only one who should be embarrassed, Mr. Nadler, is you, for the way you addressed this body. This is the United States Senate. You’re not in charge here,” Cipollone said.
Nadler began by accusing the White House counsel of lying — a striking breach that would likely have been disciplined in any ordinary court of law. “They lie,” he claimed. “And lie, and lie, and lie,” he repeated.”

You’d better believe Trump is pooping his diaper and then he gives it to Dougski to wear. Well, it gives us all something to look forward to since this current impeachment circus is just a dud.
“Having realized their impeachment gambit is failing, Democrats have resorted to accusing Sen. Mitch McConnell of a coverup and calling the trial ‘rigged.’
“If their impeachment removal gamble fails, as it inevitably will, they’ll say it only failed because McConnell rigged the trial, or because the president covered up his crimes by instructing key witnesses not to cooperate, or because all Republicans are corrupt. The narrative takeaway will be that Democrats tried to save the country and the Constitution by removing a dangerous criminal from the White House, but were thwarted, and only voters can stop Trump now by throwing him out of office in November. After all, the future of the republic is at stake.”
Impeachment Is Untethering Some People From Reality
“The overdone rhetoric turned out to be contagious, especially for Never Trumpers like Bill Kristol, a formerly serious person who on Monday compared the upcoming Senate impeachment trial to a show trial in an authoritarian state.“

ICE Hits Back, Issues Subpoenas Against Criminal Aliens In Sanctuary New York City
“ICE is using every tool available to obtain information regarding the whereabouts and other relevant information regarding removable aliens from jurisdictions that chose to, or are unable to, cooperate with ICE,” the agency wrote, before providing details about the four criminal aliens — ranging from age 21 to 38 — about whom it recently sought information from NYDOC.
“Like any law enforcement agency, we are used to modifying our tactics as criminals shift their strategies; but it’s disheartening that we must change our practices and jump through so many hoops with partners who are restricted by sanctuary laws passed by politicians with a dangerous agenda,” lamented Henry Lucero, acting deputy executive associate director for ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, as quoted in the ICE press release.
