    Bessee quote…Senator Bernie Sanders falsely claimed in his closing remarks in the Democratic debate that half of the country was earning just $9 to $10 an hour.
    $1.20hr is the difference between $22.80 and $21.60. That represents the MAGA dividend American workers have received according to your figures…

And considering “real per-capita disposable (after tax) income” this is now effectively more than $22.80/hr for every worker who can fog a mirror. That is why I point out that the real and impactive Big Lies come from Democrats, especially from their leading lights like Bernie Sanders.

    What, 2.9% or so of the workforce work for minimum wage, mostly kids and newbies (entry level) to the job market before their first raises of move on after getting something on the resume.
    How many folks lose jobs due to minimum (training) wage? Sure, some actually benefit, while others get their hours cut or the pink slip. Forget picking up extra overtime, like you are used to.
    What blew me away is the black youth employment figures. It’s been like 24%, 21%, 19% forever. Up their at the top for many many moons. It’s never been so low….big drop.
    The ones in the bottom tier have seen higher % wage inflation that those in the top, upper brackets.
    Winning for the common man, the salt of the earth. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, oh ye dispirited. Hey, Reagen was head of a Union once.

    It is a funny problem that you don’t hear about.
    If you institute a standardized universal healthcare or health insurance system, unless it’s better than all current systems, somebody gets screwed. Basically, you have to put together something that’s superior to all gold-plated plans in order to avoid arguments from those quarters.
    Truth is, a lot of people in the US have far superior insurance than they could ever expect from a universal plan. In order to bring up all the people in a poor situation, cuts would be made at the top.
    That’s completely aside from the fact that US healthcare professionals tend to make more than their European equivalents. Somebody has to take it in the shorts.

    Jan. 15 (UPI) — The U.S. Transportation Security Administration announced Wednesday that officers caught the highest number of guns at airport checkpoints nationwide in 2019.
    TSA said it discovered 4,432 firearms in carry-on bags or on passengers at checkpoints throughout the country, the highest total in the agency’s 18-year history and a five percent increase from the 4,239 firearms detected in 2018.
    An average of about 12.1 firearms were detected each day in 2019 and of those found at checkpoints 85 percent were loaded.

    Absurdly, the Times turns the floor over to the shameless Chuck Schumer:
    “This Phase 1 deal is an extreme disappointment to me and to millions and millions of Americans who want to see us make China play fair,” Mr. Schumer said on the Senate floor. “President Trump’s Phase 1 trade deal with China is a historic blunder.”
    Right, Chuckie. Now let’s hear your critique of Obama’s eight-year-long, supine kowtowing to the Chinese. The only thing Schumer is actually disappointed in is that with a successful completion of Phase One, Trump is marching toward re-election. The Times can’t entirely fail to mention the Phase One agreement’s substantial benefits to the U.S…….
    President Trump understands the dynamic in play between the Red Chinese and the Democrats, and hasn’t been afraid to talk about it. Thus, today he signaled that he is not worried about the 2020 election, and the Chinese shouldn’t hold out in hopes of getting to negotiate with an anti-American like Bernie Sanders or a naif like Pete Buttagieg:
    Mr. Trump said if the two sides could reach agreement on the next phase, all of the tariffs he has placed on China would come off.
    “I will agree to take those tariffs off if we’re able to do Phase 2,” he said.
    But Mr. Trump has already kicked the deadline for another agreement past the November election, and there is deep skepticism that the two countries will reach another trade deal anytime soon.
    In other words, Trump is confident that he will be re-elected, and the Chinese should forget their hopes for a Sanders/Biden/Warren ascendancy.

    Keep carrying the water for Islamic Terrorists, water boy. The Left has as a big anti-Semitism Problem, as duly documented on these boards….as well as a big Asian-American problem. A chink in their armor, so to speak.
    Remember when the House tried to pass a non binding resolution condemning anti-Semitism ? That went over like a MAGA hat at Liberal lovefest.. No resolution against “ The Jewish Problem”, too much to ask.
    At least they are consistent.
