    The reason they are so mad all the time is they have no fun or interpersonal relationships and don’t get enough FB friends. Perhaps if they learned joy of earning their success things might have gone better. But you do have to ask the question about the AOC’s of the world not having kids because they believed Al Gore. Is that a Darwin effect? –

    Trump has fallen in the Gallup daily tracking polls from even to -8 in six days. A very bad week for him. In the same poll Obama ended up +22 in his final poll. This is the most consistent poll in history and has been going daily since Kennedy.

    Trump is taking a thrashing on Fox News today. Typical of sluggers who have no finesse is that they fall apart easily and thrash around swinging mindlessly at invisible opponents. Here’s one of the more interesting examples:
    So when Trump signed his executive order allowing only Christian refugees and barring “radical Islamic terrorists” from America, he was no different than other U.S. presidents before him. His War on Terror is merely the latest version of Christian holy wars that use fear to manipulate the public into cowering to their ruler’s mandates.

    Trump is falling off the charts. He has pathetic public support according to the polls .
    Trump started his Presidency with the lowest poll approval numbers in history and has since fallen lower. He’s currently at -8 in Gallup’s daily tracking. Obama was +30 at his stage.

    “Diesel death zones” Never mind the mandated rework of diesel
    engines, low sulfur fuel, and adding synthetic pee tanks to inject that new muffler bearing fluid into they system.
    Now the push to have electric big rigs. These fools don’t even comprehend how much elec. the elec. car needs to consume for a few short hours. (you can run your house for about four days. With all the lights on, and the heat pump set on Miami Beach.)
    And now the demand for 30% electric big on the roads in just ten years. (to match the ECO bastard required green power in the state.. And you wonder where all the PG&E money is getting spent?)

    The counter-argument would be that you are likely to be just as (or more) efficient running a stationary diesel generator charging the electric truck. The stationary setup could have all manner of emissions Rube Goldbergery (Goldbuggery?) going on. I think the e-cars get about 3 miles per kwh, so I admit that it’s quite a lot, a semitrailer hauling thing wpuld scale up appropriately.
    Now, the batteries. Wow. With trucks holding 15-20x fuel as much as a car, just imagine the battery pack. Outside of restricted small route deliveries, I’m just not seeing it right now.
    The state .gov, of course, just figgers that the electric delivery infrastructure, battery tech, massive repurchase of gear, power generation, can all happen if we just believe. Mandatory magic can make it happen. They’re not really so different than the local NC mayor.

    I guess that reading about attempts to actually enforce immigration law and Trump’s indifference to our new holy men, those who wear dresses, is enough to get that rage endorphin going. The TDS tent revival is a pleasurably addictive thing and has formed a sort of social cohesion among crazy people in an era when cohesion is dying, so perhaps it does have some use. The Two Minutes Hate is real.

    It seems to me that the main problem here is the ease of measurement. The simplest calculations can show improvement of batteries over time, the amount of power needed, decreases in cost. Lacking some discovered alien technology or tech breakthrough, the trends only require the simplest understanding to map.
    The US Left hates things you can accurately predict and loves the mushier ones. The closest thing to science you’ll see in that world is poorly understood climate models and most of it surrounds fads in sociology or the liberal arts. Dunning-Kruger is the order of the day.
