Just as you frequently cherry pick and post misleading numbers regarding climate change, you continue to do so with your cherry picked polls of folks who will vote Trump.
You conveniently forget to put your poll numbers into context. Look at a map of the electoral college. It matters not one whit that bigly numbers of voters in Mississippi and Alabama are going to vote Trump when huge electoral college states such as Washington, Oregon, California, Michigan, New York, etc. etc are solidly in the HRC camp. The polls you trot out are meaningless when put into context of the real world of the electoral college.
Go find a mainstream poll tallied per the electoral college and name us one that finds Trump a winner.

Hmmm. Reminds me of the prediction that Moscow Mitch was toast and the Democrats would take over the House AND Senate, 7 days before the 2014 election. Instead, the Dems got slaughtered in historic proportions. Ain’t that a shame.
Trump ain’t running to win the popular vote. His strategy is to win the Electoral College. Turned 10 mil into billions through both real hard economic times, downturns, and good economic times, ran for his very first public office and became President of the US…..and losers sitting in their basements writing for Buzzfeed making $25,000 a year type out that Trump is stupid, lol. Include some of our addicted to outrage lefties with a bad case of TDS to that list.
It’s the Electoral College Trump is going to win, again. Great strategy…for a dummy. 🙂

“Joe Biden has been a beneficiary of “legal graft” via the “Delaware Way,” DiStefano said — a term defined as “politicians doing favors for well-connected business owners in exchange for contributions after the fact.”
“We go where the facts lead, DiStefano said. “In the case of the Bidens, they’ve been leading for a very long time. If you go back to the early 1970s, ever since Joe Biden’s been elected to the Senate, there has been a pretty unremitting series of business transactions involving members of his family and companies that were interested for a large variety of reasons in getting access.”

ITS THE ECONOMY STUPIDS! –
Economic growth was already the slowest in almost three decades in the third quarter, and Bloomberg Economics’ gauge aggregating the earliest data from financial markets and businesses shows that continuing, with a worsening picture for trade, sales manager sentiment, and factory prices.
While tensions with the U.S. have eased since the two sides announced talks toward a so-called “phase one” deal last month, a leading indicator for trade flows in Asia, South Korean exports, still contracted almost 10% in the first 20 days of November. That’s an improvement from September’s worst result in a decade, but it indicates that high-technology trade across the region is still struggling as the Christmas shopping season approaches.
Profits at Chinese industrial firms fell the most on record in October, dropping 9.9% from a year ago, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Wednesday. The decline in prices at the factory gate is one of the factors undercutting those profits and is expected to continue in November, according to a Bloomberg tracker of producer prices.
The falling prices indicates domestic demand is weak. If those deflationary effects continue it will further hurt corporate profits at home and eventually drag down prices and profits overseas as well.

Investigating the nature of Joe Biden’s and Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine — particularly with respect to energy company Burisma — is a legitimate endeavor, determined Joseph N. DiStefano, Philadelphia Inquirer staff writer and Nation columnist, offering his remarks in a Tuesday interview.
“Joe Biden backed Obama’s [and the] Democrats’ attempt to socialize the [private lending industry], and make it so that anybody who wants a loan for college can get one. no matter that it’s a bad college program that doesn’t help people get jobs, no matter that it’s a bad borrower who’s not going to pay their loan,” DiStefano explained. “That’s why student lending is so expensive in this country.”
Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), a private equity firm founded by Hunter Biden, procured $1.5 billion in financing from the state-run Bank of China days after then-Vice President Joe Biden traveled to China as part of an official extended trip to Asia.
DiStefano recalled BHR’s involved in purchasing “politically sensitive” assets and companies, including dual-use technology with military applications developed by automotive parts manufacturer Henniges Automotive.
“They ended up buying the biggest copper and cobalt mine in Africa,” said DiStefano of BHR’s global acquisition. “They bought a company in Detroit that did a lot of controls for vehicles, including military vehicles. They bought into a company in China hat ended up designing a lot of technology used in the imprisonment of the Uighur population.”

“Media’s Latest Anti-Nunes Smear Is Michael-Cohen-In-Prague All Over Again
Their latest effort against the top Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is to accuse him, without evidence, of secretly meeting in Vienna with a former Ukrainian official ‘to get dirt on Biden.”
…
“Incidentally, if there is one thing we have learned from the media in the last couple of months, “get dirt” is their code for Republicans doing investigations. “Investigate” is their code for Democrats trying to get dirt on political opponents. It appears the same term could be used regardless of the political views of those doing the investigations.
“In any case, the Resistance theory goes that because of this unverified story, they should get dirt on Nunes should be investigated and removed from his role in impeachment proceedings. It is just coincidence, surely, that Nunes has so effectively neutered the Democrats’ impeachment push by pointing out the flaws with Rep. Adam Schiff’s leadership of the proceedings. It is also coincidence that Nunes is chiefly responsible for blowing up the previous impeachment push through his oversight of the agencies that pushed the Russia collusion theory against President Trump.”

However, the clutch of 9 to 13 states suggest Trump is “well positioned” for 2020, and give him a narrow edge despite job approval ratings that lag below 50%, and mounting political troubles dominating the headlines, Eurasia Group’s Todd Mariano found.
An economy that’s largely defied the gloomiest predictions associated with a full-blown trade war with China is largely responsible for Trump’s 2020 chances, Eurasia Group found.
As a result, Mariano’s analysis determined that Trump stands a better than 50% chance of winning 366 Electoral College votes — surpassing his 2016 tally of 306.
“An initial analysis reinforces our appraisal that Trump enters the 2020 presidential election as a slight favorite,” Mariano wrote. “According to this data set, Trump does not need net positive approval ratings to have a strong chance at remaining in the White House.”
He added that “the durability of his base, the strength of the economy, the benefits of incumbency, and persistent voter disenchantment had already led to the conclusion he had a slim advantage. These are buttressed by healthy approval numbers and economic data in the swing states.”

Now, I don’t believe Trump should be impeached over this lame Ukraine thang, but maybe his tweet should be an impeachable offense. After all, Rocky beat up Apollo Creed, a black man. 🙂
—
“This is a good example of President Trump as Rorschach test. Some people absolutely hate him, as manifested by the fact that the percentage who disapprove of Trump in polls is nearly equal to the percentage who want him to be impeached and evicted from office. Why do they hate him so? Not because of record low unemployment, strong economic growth, and standing up to America’s foes abroad. They hate him because he does things like the “gorgeous chest” tweet.
Conversely, some people–like me–enjoy Trump’s unorthodox personality. I think he is hilarious, especially in person. There is of course a conservative/liberal divide in people’s feelings about Trump. But why are some conservatives never-Trumpers? Why do they, like most liberals, have a visceral dislike for him? I think it is mostly on account of what I see as the funny, playful side of Trump’s personality.
Of course, Trump knows that tweets like this morning’s will be greeted with outrage from his detractors. Nevertheless, he trolls them mercilessly. (The gorgeous chest tweet might be the most magnificent troll of all time.) That suggests that Trump believes there are more people who see this side of his personality positively–like me–than there are people who are driven up the wall by it. Or more swing voters, anyway.”

“Michael Bloomberg’s bought and paid for Virginia legislators have wasted no time introducing legislation that would make the Old Dominion’s gun laws worse than those of the billionaire’s home state of New York.
SB 16, introduced by Sen. Richard L. Saslaw, would create a total ban on commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, like the AR-15. Even worse, the ban would even extend to common firearm parts. The restrictions included in the proposed legislation does not grandfather current owners. The legislation is clearly designed to be firearms confiscation, as current owners would be forced to dispossess themselves of their property or face a felony conviction.”

Same thing happened with moonshine in the South and also in California when alcohol was legalized. You know all those folk songs about the “revenue man tearing my still house down” refer to the fact that moonshine could be produced and sold cheaper than store sold alcohol so there was a market for illegal booze and the enforcement was done by the tax man.
As so called conservatives you two should be on the side of lower taxes I would think.

re: Walt@6:16
You got me perusing various Virginia legislations and the normal craziness that is gun regulation. Aside from the general tendency to make regular people into felons and felons into regular people by the Left, I always enjoy looking at proposed rules.
Given all the ways you can make a gun, they always end up with things that are really a hoot, especially with carve-outs to keep some groups happy (in the past, Mini-14 owners for example).
Fer example:
An ‘assault rifle’ definition:
“2. A semi-automatic center-fire rifle that expels single or multiple projectiles by action of an explosion of a combustible material that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine and has one of the following characteristics: (i) a folding or telescoping stock; (ii) a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the rifle; (iii) a thumbhole stock; (iv) a second handgrip or a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; (v) a bayonet mount; (vi) a grenade launcher; (vii) a flare launcher; (viii) a silencer; (ix) a flash suppressor; (x) a muzzle brake; (xi) a muzzle compensator; (xii) a threaded barrel capable of accepting (a) a silencer, (b) a flash suppressor, (c) a muzzle brake, or (d) a muzzle compensator; or (xiii) any characteristic of like kind as enumerated in clauses (i) through (xii);”
Just which of those things are dangerous? I mean, who writes this stuff?
I keep wondering how the Blue Mob will deal with slide-action ‘tactical’ rifles. Hunting rifles are, no doubt, ‘sniper’ rifles.
Of course, we all know who and with what the majority of murders are committed, but that’s unutterable.

Walt,
Have a happy Turkey Day with the family. As Punchy said, “it’s human nature to go for the best deal you can get.” Tru dat. We usually dress in old torn clothes and hit the places that offer free meals for the down and out. It warms my heart to see all the smiling faces of those who labored so hard to spread the joy of giving for fun and for free. I would hate to deprive them of such pleasures, so we show up….would hate to deprive them of their joy of giving. Gotta think of others in this holiday season. No need to travel to Auburn anymore. They have great grub up here for the less fortunate. 🙂

Keep deflecting Emery. Hard to justify your support here of the criminal element you backed?
Screwing over the building dept over a simple home repair is not a criminal offence.
Maybe code compliance should raid the Emery property to check for functioning smoke alarms, low flow shower heads and shiters?
I say the cops should check for receipts when they see&smell dope smokers. Gotta check for those paid taxes.

The Republican chairman and top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee said in a joint statement Thursday they have seen no evidence to support President Donald Trump’s claim about Trump Tower being wiretapped.
“Based on the information available to us, we see no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016,” Sens. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) and Mark Warner (D-Va.) said.

How can you people continue to support this mentally ill wanna-be dictator who conned you into voting for him? You all need to admit your bad judgement instead of doubling down on lie after lie and help put the country back together again before humpty trumpty totally destroys it with his lies and deceit. You had better hope and pray the trumpsters didn’t collude with the Russians to influence the election; that would be treason.

So it begins. Flynn willing to testify in exchange for immunity. Where have we heard this before?
From Fox News
“WASHINGTON – Mike Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, has told the Federal Bureau of Investigation and congressional officials investigating the Trump campaign’s potential ties to Russia that he is willing to be interviewed in exchange for a grant of immunity from prosecution, according to officials with knowledge of the matter.
As an adviser to Mr. Trump’s presidential campaign, and later one of Mr. Trump’s top aides in the White House, Mr. Flynn was privy to some of the most sensitive foreign-policy deliberations of the new administration and was directly involved in discussions about the possible lifting of sanctions on Russia imposed by the Obama administration.
He has made the offer to the FBI and the House and Senate intelligence committees though his lawyer but has so far found no takers, the officials said.

I may have to go to public records to see if ANY building permit has your name on it. Remember. Replacing one damned board or window (new roof?) the county demands a permit.
It’s not looking good for you Emery, being on the side of illegal drug sales and all. Stabbing that dope shop in the back is real low. Remember? you were bragging about being there for the grand opening.

Trump is the Russian puppet, here’s why.
Trump is one confused puppy. You can NEVER believe a word he says. Because he is an accomplished liar nobody takes anything he says seriously especially someone as crafty as Putin. Putin will play him like a spider to a fly. He’ll get what he wants out of Trump and then chomp off another bit of the Balkans knowing that Trump will be helpless in stopping him just like Obama was. Obama did impose sanctions which was irritating to Putin but Trump and his Exxon puppet Sec of State will reverse that for the profit of both Trump and Exxon.
Scott, what other playing card will Trump have if Putin makes a move on the Balkans or worse. What’s he gonna say-“Putin my friend, I thought we had a relationship??”
Trump has no idea what he’s getting himself into. He’s willing to publicly bargain with NATO over bills due while Putin plays him like a chump. There is no way Trump is as smart as Putin in this game. Putin has been at it all his life while Trump was building hotels and sponsoring beauty contests.
Hope that answers your question about how I see the situation.
Also in my view Putin did intentionally try to influence the election which Trump denies. What a simple blackmail card Trump can play if he wants to get nasty with Trump. Who knows what other goodies he has on Trump if he decides to play that game. I fear that Trump will be helpless in any negotiations with Russia because he’s already so compromised.
