Concerning ‘America Askew’, I put my brief comment in the Union comments. So many crimes in CA have been reduced to misdemeanors or rewritten with the sole purpose to have the guilty avoid deportation, all under the guise of discrimination or locking up the bad guys and making most other real crimes reduced to jaywalking or spitting on the sidewalk. Not all, but too many to list. I recall about posting one such example here concerning a law before the Governor and on his desk and at the 11 hour he vetoed under great pressure from the Latino community because the convicted would thusbe eligible for deportation. Frisco values and all that stuff.
On November 5, 2019 i was down near Sac State around 11:30 am. The radio said there would be a procession of police cars on US 50 and issued a traffic alert. I traveled on 50 hoping to be stopped by the procession of LE and to get out of my car and pay my respects to the fallen from Roseville or Placerville passing by. I traveled East on 50 instead of west and missed it.
Anyway, listening to the radio I learned the officer was slain by two illegals. I heard (read) about the killing of the cop, but did not know it was committed by two illegals. The news did not state that fact at the time. Getting closer and closer to our neck of the woods. More of a problem in Truckee than here.
Bottomline: the Leftinistas feels an illegal can do no harm, or at least present it that way. If one is brown, they get a pass, right? Laws to not apply to some based on legal status. My comment of the Union was not a one-off. As often stated, “Where is the law abiding citizens’ Sanctuary City?

(Bloomberg) — Attorney General William Barr fired a broadside against critics of Donald Trump — and congressional Democrats in particular — while defending the president’s actions.
In a fiery speech Friday before the conservative Federalist Society on Friday, Barr said Trump’s opponents are using every tool they can to intentionally sabotage his administration.
