Looks like the 11,000 “scientists spouting a climate change emergency reported by lamestream news was actually 11,000 random people who signed a petition online. More fakery as usual.

11,000 SCIENTISTS? JUST KIDDING
“Actually, there was no study, there was just a press release. And it wasn’t 11,000 scientists, it was 11,000 random people who put their names on a web page. But today’s reporters are so biased and so incompetent that when it comes to “climate change,” they will swallow anything.“

BillT 429pm – the ‘11,000 scientists’ was another Big Lie by the Left (aka Democrats). I wonder why none of this makes even a dent in the narrative of those commenters who continue pointing out ‘Trump’s lies’ which are really inconsequential when compared to any of the lies – like the ‘scientists’ or the ‘moderate Bentancourt’. The double dummy public is really impacted by such bamboozles because they neither read nor take the time thinking, and the Democrats know that. And note that no leftist here wants to address this issue.

AMY’S COMPLAINT
“Amy Klobuchar is upset. She had hoped to become the second string non-radical choice for the Democratic presidential nomination behind Joe Biden, whom she thought might fall by the wayside. Instead, Pete Buttigieg has grabbed that slot.
How did his happen? Klobuchar declines to give Buttigieg any credit or to accept any blame. Instead, she attributes Buttigieg’s success and her her failure to sexism, expressing doubt that people would take any of the female presidential candidates seriously if running with the same qualifications as Buttigieg.
This may be true, but not in the sense Klobuchar meant. Buttigieg has pulled away from lower tier candidates because (1) he’s a very smart and extremely talented politician, (2) he’s young and engaging, (3) he’s gay and (4) he is able to raise large amounts of money thanks mainly to his sexual identity.
No female candidate in the field possesses all of these characteristics. Indeed, few possess any of them, at least to the same degree as Buttigieg. Klobuchar doesn’t.
The real question is whether a female candidate with Buttigieg’s key characteristics (not just his qualifications) would be taken seriously in a presidential run this year. There’s no way of knowing. I think such a candidate would be taken seriously, but might not be running quite as well as Buttigieg “
———————-
Kinda like Kamala Harris blaming her sinking like a rock numbers on America not ready for a person who looks like her, i.e., a female person of color. Since both Amy and Harris are running exclusively in the Dem primaries, they ones they are blaming for misogyny and racism is none other than their fellow Democrat voters. Oh my. Wonder if they will write a book entitled, “WTF Happened”. Julian Castro is blaming “four white people” (leading the polls) for his inability to get off the ground with Democrat voters. 🙂
—————-
In more uplifting and positive news, My Gal Tulsi (a female person of color) has qualified for the next debate and is moving solidly into the 2nd tier. This is a direct result of Hillary Clinton accusing her of being an Russian asset, in Putin’s back pocket. Some folks will spout anything, let the local lefty readers take note.

Who in the heck is Amy Klobuchar? These are bad names for marketing reasons.
The ticket of Buttigieg and Klobuchar just doesn’t fall off the tongue easily. Thank goodness that Poles and Serbs haven’t run for President much, although I’d be overjoyed with the Estonian and Chinese ticket of Aak and Ng.
” Some folks will spout anything, let the local lefty readers take note. ”
My working theory is that if you hate Trump, usually for some reason deep down in the id, the easiest thing to do is to accuse him of being the worst thing imaginable to you. ‘Nazi’ is handy if you compulsively follow polls, ‘rapist’ is a good one for a feminist, ‘racist’ if that’s your prime way of sorting humanity. The more complex writers are thinking of compound words like Rapinazicist or the like.
Who knew that the Prez could be such a busy guy? God Emperors have many aspects.
I do wish that Bloomberg could purchase the nomination. The staging would be great and SNL could rerun skits.

11,000 scientists??? Well, here’s a piece that at least claims that the names they checked all turned out to be “scientists”. The author claims “Bogus scientists don’t seem to be a problem here (every scientist signatory we tried to verify before getting bored was, in fact, an actual scientist).” I wondered whether Mr Juvinall had come onto some more compelling evidence than what is presented in stories like this – https://arstechnica.com/science/2019/11/what-is-the-significance-of-11000-scientists-declaring-a-climate-emergency/

Bummer that the petition appears to have been yanked offline.
So far as I can tell, it’s main point is that there are too many people. I suppose that the straightforward solution is to quit mass importation of the Third World to the First and to carpet bomb Africa with contraceptives.
Funny how global warmingcooling is instead simply used as a mechanism to achieve political power. I guess I should never be surprised by the avarice of people, especially the ones who claim to be generous.

Hey, Schifflips is looking for help. He needs a long line of folks to testify about their “impressions” of the phone call to parade before the TV cameras on the live hearings. You have read the phone call transcript by now (don’t matter if you haven’t) , and you should get up on live TV from the sacred chambers of Congress and tell the world about what YOU think about the President’s foreign policy, where you disagree with the President’s policies and, of course, your impressions about Da Phone call. The longer the line of folks to parade at the hearing, the better. Make sure your drop key words such as Extortion and Bribery at critical junctions. Rinse and repeat.
And, also make sure you toss out this line: “People died from Trump withholdings military aid. People died!” Don’t need no stinkin’ proof or what people or how many. Nay, just utter it like Mika Brzezinski did on Morning Joe this morning. Just say it, that’s all that matters.
Of course, we mustn’t hear nary one word about the Whistleblower or from Adam Schifflips orn how he and his staff colluded with the Whistleblower and Deep State Department personnel ever since Trump’s phone call in July. Must not go there! And make sure nobody asks how a low level CIA analyst was placed by Brennan in the White House. That would be a Bozo No-No. Just say what you think, your impressions, and how it is a high crime. Heck, make up shit like Shifflipps does. The ends justify the means, right? Call Schifflips today! Do it. Call him…he needs YOU.

97% of scientists agree!
Where did this 97 percent figure come from? This story has become interesting over the last few days. The most prominent form of it comes from Prof. John Cook of the University of Queensland in a paper published last year that purported to have reviewed over 11,000 climate science articles. Does anyone really believe that Cook and his eight co-authors actually read through all 11,000 articles? Actually, the abstract of the paper supports the point I made above that most papers don’t actually deal with what the Climatistas say:
We find that 66.4% of abstracts expressed no position on AGW [Anthropogenic Global Warming], 32.6% endorsed AGW, 0.7% rejected AGW and 0.3% were uncertain about the cause of global warming. Among abstracts expressing a position on AGW, 97.1% endorsed the consensus position that humans are causing global warming. [Emphasis added.]
Pause here and note that it is odd to see that some folks apparently haven’t gotten the memo that you’re not supposed to call it “global warming”—“climate change” is the term of art now. Anyway, to continue, read this slowly and carefully:
Among abstracts expressing a position on AGW, 97.1% endorsed the consensus position that humans are causing global warming. In a second phase of this study, we invited authors to rate their own papers. Compared to abstract ratings, a smaller percentage of self-rated papers expressed no position on AGW (35.5%). Among self-rated papers expressing a position on AGW, 97.2% endorsed the consensus.
Let’s translate: Among the one-third of papers that “endorse” the “consensus,” there is near unanimity. In other words, among people who agree with the consensus, nearly all of them agree with the consensus. Again—the only mystery here is that the number isn’t 100 percent. Perhaps this would have been too embarrassing to report, like a North Korean election. For this exercise all climate scientists may as well be called named Kim Jong Il.
The plot thickens. Prof. Cook refused to share his data with anyone. Shades of the East Anglia mob and their tree ring data. But also like the East Anglia mob, someone at the University of Queensland left the data in the ether of the internet, and blogger Brandon Shollenberger came across it and starting noting its weaknesses. Then the predictable thing happened: the University of Queensland claims that the data was hacked, and sent Shollenbeger a cease-and-desist letter. That just speaks lots of confidence and transparency, doesn’t it?
The irrepressible Steve McIntyre of ClimateAudit has more, including a link to the inevitable Hitler parody video. But just remember this: 4 out of 5 claims by the Climatistas are self-serving political tommyrot.

ELIZABETH WARREN WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT
“In 2016, I was one of a small number of pundits who predicted that Donald Trump would win the presidential election. This was not because I fully appreciated Trump’s appeal to voters; rather, because I had been saying for years that Hillary Clinton would never be president. She was an appallingly bad candidate, which her party inexplicably failed to understand.
I am now ready to say the same about Elizabeth Warren: she will never be president. She, too, is a terrible candidate, incorporating most of Hillary’s flaws and none of her modest virtues. If I had to choose between being locked in a cell for four years with Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren, I would choose Hillary. Hands down. Warren makes Hillary look warm and fuzzy.”
“Elizabeth Warren, RIP. You, like Hillary, will never be president. And to Democrats I say: nominate her. Please!”

Telling quote: “Chesa Boudin’s parents were incarcerated when he was just fourteen months old for driving the getaway car in a robbery that tragically took the lives of three men.
Chesa’s father is still in prison. Chesa knows first-hand the destructive impacts of mass incarceration – he had to go through a metal detector and steel gates just to give his parents a hug. Though he was not physically injured that tragic day, he was one of the dozens of people whose lives were devastated.”
Apparently the 3 murdered humans were not killed by anyone.
And Chesa is trying portray himself as a victim of something that just happened to occur. Then there’s that darn ‘mass incarceration’ that caused poor lil Chesa to have to go through security just so he could give his parents a hug. And the children of the murdered men? What do they have to do to get a hug from daddy? Chesa really doesn’t give a shit about them. This IS all about Chesa, isn’t it?
The man is sick beyond belief. His parents were willing perps in an armed robbery abetting the murder of 3 men.
Chesa should never have had any more contact with either of his parents beyond putting flowers on their graves.
SF – you have really done it this time.

This category of crime was not even logged prior to 2017. Then, in 2018, there were 162 explosions and in the past two months alone the bomb squad have been called to almost 30.
Another important layer of this story is how it has been covered by Swedish media.
After last month’s trio of attacks in Stockholm, public broadcaster SVT was accused of a leftist cover-up for leaving the story out of a main evening news programme.
The home affairs minister has announced increased powers to search suspects’ homes and greater efforts to break the culture of silence around gang crime.
But in Sodermalm, resident Anders Herdenstam says there has to be a greater focus on integration.

CC 11:18 – I’m hardly crying, fool – I’m just shaking my head at how pathetically cowardly you lefties are. Can’t or won’t answer any questions, can’t posit any solutions, too ashamed to admit the person you thought might be a good candidate turned out to be a loser…
Still – you throw enough rocks to possibly develop into a 3rd string pitcher for a baseball team from podunk.
Have a great day!

Impeachment is not a grand jury. If we are going to impeach a President of the United States, at a minimum key witness need to be cross examined to get to the truth. Without cross examination, only one side of the story is presented and the truth is not presented.
Andrew McCarthy’s first two paragraphs:
“The most familiar metaphor about criminal investigations is, of course, that a prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich. Like all good metaphors, there’s enough exaggeration in it to make a strong impression. It resonates, though, because it conveys the entirely accurate sense that a grand jury is a one-sided affair. We’re wired to believe there are two sides — at least — to every story. That’s why the grand jury rubs us the wrong way.
“And that’s why the impeachment show — not inquiry show — that Democrats are running should really rub us the wrong way.”

Insight: “There is surely no contradiction in saying that a certain section of the community may be quite competent to protect the persons and property of the rest, yet quite unfit to direct our opinions, or to superintend our private habits.” —Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800-1859)
Upright: “Some of the biggest cases of mistaken identity are among intellectuals who have trouble remembering that they are not God.” —Thomas Sowell
Observations: “Fascinating to watch much of media’s quick turn from mocking notion of deep state into a full throated ‘Hell yes there’s a deep state and it’s the only thing we have to protect us from the American people and who they elect.’ Points for honesty?” —Mollie Hemingway
For the record: “I don’t know what you would impeach him on. … Impeachment is like the death penalty for a public official. When you look at the transcript, there’s nothing in that transcript that warrants the death penalty for the president.” —Nikki Haley
Grand delusions I: “It’s right out of ‘The Godfather’ when somebody in a position of immense power looks at somebody not in a position of immense power and says, ‘I want you to do us a favor, though…’” —Rep. Jim Himes
Grand delusions II: “The simple answer is this: The House has no option [when it comes to impeachment]. It has to enforce the Constitution. Whether or not … it turns out to work or not work, whether or not he should or shouldn’t be kicked out of office, on the face of it, there’s a prime case he’s violated the Constitution of the United States of America in asking other countries to engage in our politics.” —Joe Biden
And last… “It’s incredible to see the mental gymnastics the American left has to do to avoid acknowledging that the people of Venezuela, Bolivia & Hong Kong are fighting against the very ideology they’re attempting to manifest here.” —Allie Beth Stuckey
