[On the face of it I am not in favor of withdrawing US troops from Syria, especially viz the Kurds. My own long-stated Rebane Doctrine is that the US must continue its role as the world's white hat policeman (hegemon) using responses and methods that will evolve with needs and time. But before we continue hyper-ventilating on the withdrawal, can someone cite the exact parameters of Trump's withdrawal announcement – e.g. is it more than pulling a few tens of troops back from the 20-mile buffer zone? gjr]

My response to the BS column of the Union Editorial Board today.
“Politics is said to be war without bloodshed. And having been involved for forty years I can certainly agree. I have been attacked, screamed at, had my car brakes drained and had numerous death threats over the years for being a vocal conservative. My kids were treated unfairly in schools here and the left tried to destroy me and my business. So I have some experience in being the recipient of leftwing attacks. All that time I tried to be the diplomat But they would have none of it. Oust me from the county or else. So yes, the discourse has always been pretty course. But then I decided to return fire and not take the attacks anymore. So has most R’s and conservatives. And we see all hell breaking loose. But it can end. Just tell the left to stop all the lies and claims against innocent people in our country.
But we know that won’t happen. As long as they make outrageous statements that you print in articles, this kind of discourse will continue. The press is right in the middle of all this. But like all media you deny your own responsibility. I say clean up your acts first and it will stop over time.”
