Dem Rep Schiff's characterization of the Ukraine telecon transcript is historically one of the most audacious stream of lies fabricated out of whole cloth and bearing no relationship to what was in the released document. [28sep19 update] The recent spate of spontaneous worldwide demonstrations against AGW are really not that spontaneous nor even locally sponsored. Turns out they're the handiwork of a bunch of progressive rich people contributing money through something called Climate Emergency Fund, that then sends the cash to the worldwide chapters of Extinction Rebellion which actually collects and organizes the know-nothings into newsworthy protests primarily picked up by lamestream outlets. Steve gave no information whatever showing that there are children being deliberately deprived of breakfast by wealthy people who then take the money intended for the breakfast and buy a private jet. The reason a child might actually be deprived of breakfast would probably be that daddy is no where and mommy is on meth.

A Justice Department official told Fox News on Monday that Attorney General Bill Barr asked President Trump to introductions to foreign countries that might have had information pertinent to U.S. Attorney John Durham’s ongoing probe into possible misconduct by the intelligence community at the outset of the Russia investigation.
But a person familiar with the situation told Fox News it would be wrong to say Trump “pressed” the Australian prime minister for information that could have discredited former Special Counsel Mueller’s now-completed probe, as The New York Times reported earlier Monday.
“The countries have been helpful,” the source said. “There was no pressing required.”
The president was letting the heads of other countries know that the attorney general would be contacting the appropriate law enforcement entities in each country, according to the DOJ official. When Barr was in Italy last week, he did talk to law enforcement officials there about Durham’s review, Fox News was told.
The DOJ official also stressed that this has been a routine procedure in diplomacy and that Barr would not usually reach out to his direct counterpart in another country unilaterally. Instead, usually there would be an introduction of sorts made at the head-of-state level.
Barr assigned Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, back in May to conduct the inquiry into alleged misconduct and improper surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016, as well as whether Democrats were the ones who’d improperly colluded with foreign actors.
“Mr. Durham is gathering information from numerous sources, including a number of foreign countries. At Attorney General Barr’s request, the president has contacted other countries to ask them to introduce the attorney general and Mr. Durham to appropriate officials,” Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec said.

House Republican Conference Chairman Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., on Monday pushed for answers on how much top Democrats knew about the explosive White House whistleblower’s complaint before it was officially made, after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s head-turning comments during a televised interview on Sunday.
“He told me it was perfect, that there was nothing on the call,” Pelosi said on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” referring to a conversation she had with President Trump before the Trump administration released either a transcript of his call with Ukraine’s leader or the whistleblower’s complaint.
“But I know what was in the call,” Pelosi continued, before quickly adding, “I mean, uh, it was in the public domain.”
Pelosi’s remark drew scrutiny from Republicans because no verbatim account of Trump’s call had yet been made publicly available.
“@SpeakerPelosi⁩ said on 60 Minutes last night she knew the details of the classified Ukraine call before White House released transcript,” Cheney wrote on Twitter. “This is starting to seem like a political set up. So, Madame Speaker, ‘what did you know and when did you know it?’”

So the guys making the stuff became unemployed and their kids had no food. The law was rescinded.

Someone will no doubt explain how tax cuts to the 44+% who pay no taxes, and further cuts to the barely tax payers, neither of whom do invest to create jobs, is better than the current general distribution of taxes that take into account investment and entrepreneurship. I’m contending that some other distribution of taxes is not better, I’m just asking about cuts to those fro whom cuts are not possible (save starting some Universal Basic Income program – another discussion).
