I sure did, Steve, and it didn’t disappoint. It isn’t peer reviewed and it has all the gravitas as the Christy paper from the GWPF.
There isn’t one mention of solar cycles or cosmic rays. Just a bunch of handwaving.

NOAA disavows National Weather Service tweet that contradicted Trump
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released a statement Friday evening disavowing a days-old tweet from the National Weather Service that contradicted President Trump over the reach of Hurricane Dorian.
The NOAA statement, which was unsigned and posted to the agency’s website on Friday, said that the “Birmingham National Weather Service’s Sunday morning tweet spoke in absolute terms that were inconsistent with probabilities from the best forecast products available at the time.”

Why does the lefty press insist on getting it wrong?

Steve @ 3:21- I went back to re-read your link but found that downloading the full report would take more time than I have to spare on this particular study. The graphic at the end of your link does an adequate job of illustrating their claims; what’s lacking is a causal connection between CO2 and the different outcomes they suggested, between mitigation and business-as-usual. Until someone can demonstrate that the equilibrium climate response to a doubling of CO2 is substantially larger than 1.1 C, I’ll continue to satisfy my interest in the opposition view by confining my reading to summaries.
Nothing against learning, but there’s only so much time available and many, many things of interest.
None of this is to suggest their prediction is wrong, merely that it isn’t proven.

Colder winter in 2019-2020 than 2018-2019? Check this out, the number of growing degree days this year are declining by as much as 25% in critical agricultural regions of the US. More details here: https://nextgrandminimum.com/2019/09/04/next-grand-minimum-declining-temperatures/
Based on the available data I would predict a cooler winter this year, than last, which was cooler than the year before. What happened to the warming?

And climate is just cumulative weather.
An unmistakably cold ’19-’20 might turn a few more percenters towards climate realists. Eventually, I’d like to see LIB candidates being competitive, but this will take a collapse of the Democratic Party.
A man can dream, can’t he?
I’d not be surprised if the Warmistas at the top know this and are just holding on by their fingertips… imagine had Hillary won or Obama had held onto the Senate… they’d be crowing how they changed the world just in the nick of time (to take advantage of a natural variation in the direction they promised).

The attack on robot workers(spawned by LIB ideals) begins.
The LIBs still want their taxes!
    https://www.atr.org/bill-de-blasio-president-i-would-issue-robot-tax?amp
“Democrat presidential candidate Bill De Blasio announced on Thursday that if elected, he would impose a national “robot tax” and create a new bureaucracy to regulate automation.
In a Wired op-ed, De Blasio wrote: “As President, I would issue a robot tax for corporations displacing humans, and create a federal agency to oversee automation.”
He said his “proposal would institute a ‘robot tax’ on large companies that eliminate jobs through increased automation and fail to provide adequate replacement jobs.”
De Blasio called for a tax increase by taking away full expensing of new equipment, and said companies would “be required to pay five years of payroll taxes up front for each employee eliminated.” ”
But only the G-man will profit from those funds.. Not one displaced worker.

    Another study debunked.
The study, which found a 226 percent increase in white-nationalist propaganda and hate crimes in counties that hosted Trump campaign rallies, failed to account for political campaigns’ preference for hosting rallies in highly populated areas that naturally tend to experience more hate crimes, according to the analysis conducted by Harvard P.h.D. candidates Matthew Lilley and Brian Wheaton.
“Lilley and Wheaton were able to replicate the initial study’s findings with respect to Trump rallies, but found an even greater increase in hate crimes in counties that hosted Clinton campaign rallies during the same period.
Once the researchers controlled for population size, the effect of Trump rallies on hate crimes became “statistically indistinguishable from zero.”

What Motivates Democrats: Stopping Climate Change, or Ending Capitalism?
For many climate activists, the real enemy is modern society.
“One question leading climate activists should be asked is this: “If the planet suddenly started cooling rapidly, would you be in favor of increasing carbon emissions to keep the planet warm?” This admittedly annoying question is meant only to highlight a simple point. Environmentalists’ concerns over global warming fit nicely with their general anti-capitalist bias. But if there were a conflict between the two priorities and they had to choose one, which would they choose?
“Some environmentalists would probably increase carbon emissions, or embrace some other kind of geo-engineering, to stave off an ice age. But many — or most — would say that nature should be allowed to take its natural course, and what humans need to do is stop mucking around with it. These environmentalists would presumably be okay with global warming if the cause were natural as opposed to anthropogenic.
“This points to a deeper ambivalence about the actual risks of climate change. Joe Biden was criticized for admitting that the U.S. decarbonizing alone wouldn’t make a difference. “The fact of the matter is that we make up 15 percent of the problem,” he said. The rest of the world makes up 80, 85 percent of the problem.” But even if the entire world implements the most sweeping climate proposals, it would not guarantee that climate change would be stopped. And even if such policies actually succeeded in holding temperature increases to the current target of the Paris climate agreement, there is currently no scientific method that could definitely establish climate policies as the reason that temperatures stopped rising. In other words, not only is there reasonable doubt that climate policies would work, we might never be able to know that they did work.“

The usual suspects engage in espionage. No really we discovered it on our own comrade. –
A Russian citizen was arrested in Italy last week for allegedly orchestrating a five-year scheme to steal General Electric’s trade secrets—and claim they belonged to the Russian state, according to the Southern District of Ohio US Attorney’s Office.
Alexander Korshunov, a former Russian foreign ministry official and an employee of the state-owned United Engine Corp. (UEC), colluded with Maurizio Bianchi, a former director at an Italian subsidiary of GE Aviation, according to a Department of Justice statement issued today. Both men have been charged with conspiring and attempting to steal trade secrets from a US company and could face up to 10 years in prison, the statement said.
On Korshunov’s behalf, Bianchi allegedly hired current or former GE Aviation employees as consultants between 2013 and 2018. They were paid to create a technical report about jet engine accessory gearboxes, for which they used GE Aviation’s trade secrets, the statement says. The firm Bianchi was working for allegedly had a contract with Aviadvigatel, a branch of UEC that the Department of Commerce flagged last year for “acting contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States.”
Despite the intellectual property belonging to GE, the employees’ statements of work allegedly said “the holders of patent and intellectual property obtained as a result of the work are…the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.”

NEW YORK — In the run-up to President Barack Obama’s controversial nuclear deal with Iran, the U.S. military under the Obama administration reportedly used American spy satellites to monitor Israel Defense Force actions out of concern that the Jewish state would strike Iran’s nuclear program.
The detail was contained in an extensive New York Times Magazine story titled “The Secret History of the Push to Strike Iran.” The story says it is based on accounts with “dozens of current and former American, Israeli and European officials,” including many top American and Israeli officials cited on the record.
The piece documents the fractured relationship between Israel and the Obama administration on a host of issues, especially disagreements over the emerging nuclear talks with Iran. The Israeli government was initially kept in the dark about the early talks that eventually became the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the deal that President Trump would later withdraw from.
The Times reported that Obama saw the JCPOA as the “centerpiece of his foreign-policy legacy.” For Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, however, the newspaper reported that the deal would, according to The Times’ characterization, “be the ultimate betrayal — Israel’s closest ally negotiating behind its back with its most bitter enemy.”

Frisch: Snow Depth in the Sierra Nevada Has Changed Little in More Than 100 Years, According to New Study
It’s well known that California, and especially the Sierra Nevada, can have wild fluctuations in weather. But, according to one new study, the average snowfall depth has been relatively steady over the past 130 years.
“There isn’t a trend significantly different from zero for the whole period,” said the study’s author, John Christy, director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama. “I also looked at just the past 50 years and there is no trend over this recent stretch either.”
Christy, a critic of global warming science, contends the study’s findings contradict concerns that snowfall in the Sierra Nevada is disappearing due to manmade climate change.
A summary of climate change in California’s 2009 Water Plan Update acknowledges uncertainties about how increased greenhouse gas concentrations may affect precipitation, but finds “there is a very high confidence that higher temperatures will lead to dramatic changes in the snowfall and snowmelt dynamics in watersheds with substantial snow.”
“Higher temperatures will have several major effects: they will increase the ratio of rain to snow, delay the onset of the snow season, accelerate the rate of spring snowmelt, and shorten the overall snowfall season, leading to more rapid and earlier seasonal runoff,” according to the summary.
Christy gathered his data set from snow depth records kept by stations along the Southern Pacific Railroad.
“They took great care to measure snowfall because they had to know how much snow fell before sending trains through the mountain passes,” Christy said. “No one else had looked at this data in detail. The records are pretty thorough and the measuring tools – a device resembling a tall, sturdy yardstick – are easy to use and obviously don’t need power, so there aren’t many gaps in the record.”
He also used data from hydro-power and regional water systems, logging and mining companies and the National Weather Service stations and volunteers. Christy had to manually enter much of the hand-written data into a computer.
To analyze the information, Christy divided the state into 18 regions based on the snowfall and the quality of records for that region. Six or seven of the regions had good, robust data with at least five to 15 stations with records, he said.
Looking at both the 130-year record and the most recent 50-year record – which includes the 1975 to 2000 period when global temperatures rose – the California data show no long-term changes in snowfall in any region, according to a statement released about the study.
    https://www.tahoedailytribune.com/news/snow-depth-in-the-sierra-nevada-has-changed-little-in-more-than-100-years-according-to-new-study/
As always there are critics: “John Christy failed to find a downward trend in California snowfall because he is looking in the wrong places,” said snow researcher and occasional Tahoe Environmental Research Center consultant Bob Coats in a letter.
I guess Dr. Christy was supposed to look in only approved spots, under the AC vents, blacktop parking lots, and weather stations with burn barrels, like one at the Lake Tahoe spillway. See photo here: https://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/08/13/apparently-goverenor-brown-youve-never-visited-the-weather-station-at-lake-tahoe/

However, Levin — who also hosts Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin” — claimed the American people may not realize how well the country is doing because reporters and politicians refuse to speak frankly on the matter.
“You would think the media would be celebrating, the Democrats would be celebrating, the Republicans would be celebrating,” he said.
“Instead it’s ‘Ho-hum’ and ‘The recession is coming’ — but the recession is not coming, according to the Federal Reserve chairman.”
The Pennsylvania-born radio host added the press has instead sought to stifle news of economic achievements.
“They want to talk down the economy,” he said. “Hollywood is doing it, CNN is doing, [MSNBC] is doing it… they’re all doing it.
“The media on all platforms … has been shouting the word ‘recession’ for a month, but they won’t give Trump any credit. They won’t give capitalism any credit. Instead, on and on with the Marxist pablum that is regurgitated by the Democrats

Hey Gregory, the science proving anthropogenic climate change will be proved correct over time and I really don’t need your approval.
The need to adapt our region to climate change is what motivates me…and I work on it every day, and I see every day that more and more residents of the Sierra, and Nevada County, see the problem and are doing work to begin to reverse it.
You, Todd, Russ and George can cite all the outlier opinions you desire….you are losing the battle…actually you’ve already lost the battle. California’s climate path is set for the next generation and you will never reverse it. Amongst conservatives below the age of 40, 70% believe climate change is an existential risk and government should take a leading role in mitigating it. You lost…you actually lost about 10 years ago.
Yep, you are in a bright (for you) shining moment of Trumpianism when action on climate change is temporarily slowed, with silly shit like the reversal of lightbulb standards, but coal is collapsing, business is divesting from fossil fuels, states are moving forward while the feds are dithering, major corporations are adopting climate risk management frameworks….it’s over buddy, your ideas lost.

Re StevenF 647am – Mr Frisch’s continued attempts to ‘prove’ preventable manmade global warming always wind up in the recital of the Apostles (of PMGW) Creed to confirm his deep and unshakeable faith that soon there will be incontestable science to support his belief system. Until then, all he can do is cite the politicized consensus on the issue that is totally free of science – the believers will not debate countering science; they dare not. Unfortunately, his conjectures on the political successes of mob mania may well become true; mankind has had similar episodes in the past. And as leading edge science becomes ever more inaccessible to the layman, the tendency to go with the comfort of the crowd becomes an overwhelming draw – no need to understand the underlying nature of things, just count the noses braying ‘Amen!!’

Hey Scott, Check this out no significant global warming in Idaho.
    https://www.heartland.org/_template-assets/documents/publications/IdahoClimatePB.pdf
Conclusion Weather and climate data show climate change has had a minimal impact in Idaho, and to the extent, modest climate changes have occurred, the bulk of the impacts appear to have been beneficial. Even if Idaho were showing signs of substantial climate change and/or negative climate change impacts, Idaho has already dramatically curtailed its carbon dioxide emissions, which means state government action to curtail carbon dioxide emissions or otherwise address climate change would have extremely minimal climate impact.###

,,,Walmart should be the hero of the Roundtable. Is it???
Big business,,,actually the biggest business,,, didn’t need big government to tell them what to do,,,they just did it.
Now plenty of giant corporations are telling the wannabe Wyatt Earps who want to open-carry to grow up and leave their pea shooters in the car when they shop at their stores.
