Oooopsie , its a violation of the Cali constitution to demand anyone’s taxes –
The new law, SB 27, applies to all candidates, but was aimed at Trump, who has not yet released his tax returns. It would not prevent him from appearing on the general election ballot in California, but its backers argued that it would be an important precedent that could put new pressure on the president.
However, critics argued that the new law was unconstitutional, based on legal precedents that struck down extra requirements for the office of president that went further than the simple prescriptions in Article II of the U.S. Constitution.
In addition, the San Francisco Chronicle points out, there could be state constitutional provisions that bar the new law as well:
Forty-seven years ago, California’s voters opened the state’s presidential primaries to all nationally recognized candidates.
    …
[I]n 1972, 61% of the state’s voters approved Proposition 4, a state constitutional amendment, which said the presidential primary ballot must list β€œrecognized candidates throughout the nation or throughout California,” as determined by the secretary of state.

Jiggy at 9:20 – Typical American – you know very little of the people that founded our nation. There were just a few more folk than Washington, Jefferson and Madison involved. I would suggest you bone up on your history.
Washington’s statement and my statement are not incompatible. In fact, I didn’t come with that on my own. Here’s Adam’s take (very close to what I wrote) “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
They made sure there was no religious test for office as they wanted no part of the conflicts and wars that the different religious beliefs in Europe were causing.
They had no problem with an atheist running for or achieving office. The founding principles came directly from the Judeo/Christian ethic and were aimed at the current population of the colonies that were over 90% Christian in name, if not always in practice.
I would strongly suggest a good book or two on the religious practices of the early American govt and the amount of intermixing of Christian prayer, invocation and ritual with official government business. On govt property and on govt time with the tax payers blessings.
Here’s a good look at the educational background of some of the founders:

No problem with Joe meeting the press for 90 minutes while Trump fumbled a big one claiming Alabama was in the path of hurricane Dorian causing the National Weather Service to correct him.
“Hurricane Dorian will not hit Alabama, said the National Weather Service on Sunday, contradicting comments made by President Trump earlier.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/01/national-weather-service-corrects-trump-on-hurricane-dorian.html
    Contrast that with Joe
“Joe Biden’s campaign convened a dozen or so black reporters from major media outlets Tuesday for what was offered as a private, off-the-record sit-down with the Democratic front-runner.
But Biden opened the discussion allowing himself to be quoted. And then he started talking, he talked some more, and before everyone knew it, the former vice president had held forth for 90 minutes. That’s an extraordinary amount of time for a major presidential candidate to meet the media in a single sitting.”

Jigs @ 10:03, Not even wrong. The “In God We Trust” motto appears on the US 2 cent piece in 1864 and virtually every US coin minted since about 1920. Its presence on paper currency may have been even earlier (as trust is more needed with fiat money).
1955 is the year in which the phrase “under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance, as I well recall. Next time you decide to ridicule someone, you might try checking that your own fly isn’t open before launching.

Sorry dude, you out did yourself in scrambling some facts. We’re not talking about the Pledge of Allegiance. In God We Trust is a Latin phrase from centuries ago. Cortez used the phrase. It is in use by many countries. Here’s a Wiki link if you know how to do that.
“In God We Trust”, also written as “In God we trust”, is the official motto of the United States of America[1][2][3] and of the U.S. state of Florida. It was adopted by the U.S. Congress in 1956, supplanting E pluribus unum, in use since the initial 1776 design of the Great Seal of the United States.[4]”
“The capitalized form “IN GOD WE TRUST” first appeared on the two-cent piece in 1864[5] and has appeared on paper currency since 1957. A law passed in a Joint Resolution by the 84th Congress (P.L. 84–140) and approved by President Dwight Eisenhower on July 30, 1956, requires that “In God We Trust” appear on American currency. The following year, the phrase was used on paper money for the first timeβ€”on the updated one-dollar silver certificate that entered circulation on October 1, 1957.[5] The 84th Congress later passed legislation (P.L. 84–851), also signed by President Eisenhower on July 30, 1956, declaring the phrase to be the national motto.[6][7][8]”

Trouble for the socialist dem clown car –
A report by the Wall Street Journal reveals how union bosses and Democrats are looking to peel off Trump’s support from American union workers who back his agenda, where most recently he has demanded multinational corporations move their production in China to the U.S.
Vice President of the United Mine Workers of America in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Chuck Knissel said based on the current 2020 Democrats running for president, it will be difficult to get union workers to vote for anyone other than Trump.
β€œIt’s going to be tough to get our members to vote for a Democrat,” Knissel told the Journal.
In interviews with the Journal, union workers who supported Trump in 2016 said 2020 Democrats have β€œgone so far left” with positions such as forcing union workers off their current healthcare plans and onto Medicare, as well as their calls to eliminate the coal industry entirely and provide free taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal aliens.

They are feeling the pain and are starting to squeal. They are going to have to get pork from somewhere if they want to keep the people calm. Then we will gain that market if they don’t buy from here. Ag exports are up from last year in spite of the chi coms!
From Sept. 1, people in Nanning, the capital of the southwestern Guangxi region, can buy up to 1 kg of pork a day at a discount of more than 10% to the average market price over the previous 10 days, said the state-backed Nanning Evening News on Sunday.
Pork prices in Nanning rose to 40 yuan ($5.64) per kg last week, according to industry website ZhuE.
China’s hog herd, the world’s largest, has shrunk by about a third since a year ago because of swine fever outbreak, according to official data, though industry participants say the numbers are likely to be much higher.
Retail pork prices began to surge in June, hitting a record in early August, and rose to a national average of 35.12 yuan per kg in the week ending Aug. 21, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. That is up 57% from a year earlier.

Pissant @2:58, your 11:03 mocked Walt for stating (correctly) that the phrase “in God we trust” has been part of American tradition for a very long time, while you would prefer that our nation’s historic deference to God (as opposed to an atheist founding (see USSR))is a modern anomaly.
Your thesis was demonstrably wrong with the appearance of the phrase on a coin of 1864, but no, you don’t change your understanding. Not a single word of my response is “scrambled”, is it?
Aren’t you the same jerk that claimed MLK wasn’t a Republican, notwithstanding his family’s testimony to the contrary?

The geometry for the chi coms ain’t what it used to be and for good reasons –
HONG KONG, Sept 2 (Reuters) – Embattled Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam said she has caused “unforgivable havoc” by igniting the political crisis engulfing the city and would quit if she had a choice, according to an audio recording of remarks she made last week to a group of businesspeople.
At the closed-door meeting, Lam told the group that she now has “very limited” room to re
solve the crisis because the unrest has become a national security and sovereignty issue for China amid rising tensions with the United States.
“If I have a choice,” she said, speaking in English, “the first thing is to quit, having made a deep apology.”
Lam’s dramatic and at times anguished remarks offer the clearest view yet into the thinking of the Chinese leadership as it navigates the unrest in Hong Kong, the biggest political crisis to grip the country since the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.
