After reading a lot of what happened in the post-Ted Stevens case regarding sanctions of dirty prosecutors (and other cases where the Supreme Court unanimously overturned a guilty verdict), it saddens me to say nothing meaningful will happen to those in our institutions that conspired to bring forth the Russian Collusion Soft Coup. The cabal will walk unscathed. “Nothing hurt but my pride”, and some minor embarrassment. Just going by history.
At least one young prosecutor in the Stevens case had the decency to hang himself afterwards. Withholding exculpatory evidence is part of obstruction of Justice, not to mention lying to the court or presenting false evidence. Heck, withholding evidence is part of obstruction of justice AND perjury. The sin of omission. The other two sanctioned by the Justice Department in the Stevens case got only a bad mark on their file and then had an Administrate Court toss those “sanctions” out. And we haven’t even touched on the now defunct Arthur Anderson in the Enron case and…..anyway,
