Re background checks – it isn’t the number of people stopped from getting guns (many were also innocent of any background deficits), but 1) how many of the maniacs who massacred were able to easily get through such checks because their backgrounds were clean, and 2) how many can slip through because it is a complex and unreliable government process. The former gives concern, because to fashion laws that MIGHT reliably stop the ‘clean’ people would also definitely require violating our 2A rights.

What’s your suggestion for curbing mass murder by guns. Let me guess, a gun in every room, in every car, in every purse, in every baby crib, hand them out at the door of every public place and venue. No serial number on any gun and a rag and can of solvent with every gun to wipe off fingerprints and destroy DNA.

Perhaps Jiggles does not know what is required to have a concealed carry permit. It is a gun control nut’s wet dream of what a background check should be. No dope smoker would ever qualify. Neither would anyone prescribed a sleeping pill or anti-anxiety pill by a doctor. Oh, you can have a misdemeanor on your record as long it does involve any kind of violence or associated in anyway with any kind of violence.
