[‘Socialism is good for you.’ Now we have Crazy Bernie and Pocahontas claiming that the USSR, China, Cuba, … weren’t really real socialist countries; that they were ruled by tyrants instead of the finely fashioned fettle of fearless führers that they would become. Someone should ask them to name a single socialist country that didn’t quickly descend into the tyrannical cesspools that recent history has shown us over and over again. But the Dems are betting, after having screwed up America’s education system sufficiently, that today none of our younger generation have a clue about the various flavors and evolutions of collectivism, and of the hundreds of millions of their own people that what started out as socialism wound up killing over the last 100 years. gjr]

What is it about Trump You find to be intellectually inspiring? You certainly do sing his praises every time he is challenged. You refuse to accept that he is a serial liar. Do you really believe a word he says?

I do not look to Presidents or businessmen for intellectual inspiration. Sorry.
I also have never sung Trump’s praises, that’s just another punch from out of nowhere.
Now where were we… I was waiting for sources (plural) of people who would be in a position to know Trump doesn’t read or write. Your claimed “sources” that inspired you to claim to be more literate than the President of the USA.
Who lies more, you or Trump? Trump at least seems to do what he says he’ll do.

1) Consider if you will that the Maltese Professor was not a Russian asset, but a CIA asset. There are pics all over the internet of the Maltese Professor with top level British spy chiefs and Boris Johnson, head of the British Foreign Service. And, the Maltese Professor was in the USA in early 2017 at a State Department/FBI seminar. Why would we let a Russian spy into the USA? Why wasn’t he detained? Because he wasn’t a Russian spy. There goes the whole Collusion Delusion with Putin.
2) George Papadopoulos blew it for the Russian Collusion Hoax. The Maltese professor told Papadopoulos that the Russians had dirt on Hillary and wanted to give it to the Trump Campaign to help him. First, this whole conversation NEVER happened according to Mueller. But, secondly and more importantly, George Papadopoulos did not relate that info to the Trump Campaign. He shrugged it off. George was supposed to go running to tell the Trump Campaign so they could get their manufactured Russian Collusion. Papadopoulos was the link they needed. They were spying on Trump and just waiting for George to call HQ. But, noooo. Bad Papadopoulos, bad! Time’s running out. Try it again with somebody else.
So they sent Halper and the Turkish babe spy “with curves you never forget.” Actually, Halper called George Papadopoulos and offered him 3k to write a Cyprus energy paper for the distinguished Cambridge Institute. “Meet me in a London bar, George my boy.”
Now, consider if you will that Halper is not an FBI informant, but CIA. George Papadopoulos was asked about Russia having Hillary’s e-mails and George is thinking “I am here to write a serious academic paper for the Cambridge Institute and who is this woman pressing her body and pressing me about Russia?”
Papadopoulos said no way the Turk “with curves you never forget” was FBI. She barely could speak English, if at. all. She was CIA.
And after the election, Halper quit the Cambridge Institute because of Russian infiltration into the Cambridge Institute.
“So the suggestion of Russian involvement in the seminar is in one sense no surprise.
“Senior figures have left due to fears of Russian influence. Foremost among them is Sir Richard Dearlove, the former ‘C’ (chief) of MI6, until recently master of Pembroke College, just a few minutes’ walk from Corpus Christi.
“Another is Stefan Halper, a former senior White House adviser in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations. He told the FT he had stepped down because of ‘unacceptable Russian influence on the group’.” Wow.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4046846/Have-Russian-SPIES-infiltrated-Cambridge-70-years-infamous-Philby-ring-ex-MI6-chief-caught-claims-new-Kremlin-intrigue.html
And who did Halper co-teach his seminars with? The former Russian top misinformation guru, tight with Putin, that’s who. Steele fingered his Russian source when he met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec on Oct. 11, 2016 as the SAME Russian who taught the seminar with Halper at Cambridge, roflmao. No wonder Halper is in hiding on his Virginia Farm.
The Russian misinformation expert fed Steele the same stuff he was feeding Halper and Brennan was behind it all. It was his baby. Trump is a traitor!!
CIA and FBI getting the same stuff to confirm what Steele found. Not to mention Hillary’s buddy Sydney Bloomenthal feeding the same information to State from the Dossiers, which was forwarded to the FBI/DOJ and the WH.

The paper tiger –
China is regarded by many experts as holding a trump card in trade talks given its dominant position as a global supplier of rare earth materials used in U.S. industries including technology, aerospace and defense. The U.S., in fact, relies on China for 80% of its rare earth supplies and China has made veiled threats that it may restrict exports to American companies. “If China wanted to reduce exports of rare earths, the logical step would be to lower the mining quota,” Helen Lau, a metals and mining analyst at Argonaut Securities told Fortune magazine recently. She said China may signal its intentions as early as this month when it decides on quotas.
But a move to restrict exports to the U.S. in 2019 could backfire, according to analyses in separate columns in both the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s. For starters, when China restricted its exporting of rare earth materials in 2010 and prices rose, foreign capital invested in mines in other parts of the world. As a result, per the Journal, China’s share of global production dropped from nearly 100% to 70% today.
China’s sales also fell because giant U.S. tech companies were able to develop workarounds by using materials that were more easily accessible. They are likely to do the same this year if China cuts supplies.
It’s also overlooked that much of the demand for these elements in the U.S. is not strategic in nature, per the Journal. Rather, about 60% of rare earth materials are used as catalysts, a fairly basic application.
Only about 1% of rare earth material demand in the U.S. goes to the Department of Defense. According to a report by Fortune, American demand for China’s rare earth exports is actually quite low, accounting for just 4% of China’s shipments in 2018. Because, paradoxically, rare earth materials are typically not so much “rare” as they are costly to mine, operations in other regions including Brazil, Australia and Vietnam are aiming to wrest away some of China’s control over the industry.
If China plays its trump card, companies in the U.S. and abroad will be ready. In 2010, prices on rare earth materials spiked, hurting some companies in the short term. But in response, CEO Robert Macleod of British catalyst producer Johnson Matthey, said recently that his company learned new lessons from 2010, per Barron’s. Now, the company has “multiple sourcing options,” said Macleod.

Some Chinese exporters are going to extreme lengths to avoid the hit from Donald Trump’s tariffs.
Vietnam said on Sunday that it found dozens of fake product-origin certificates and illegal transfers by companies trying to sidestep U.S. tariffs on everything from agriculture to textiles and steel. It was one of the first times an Asian government has publicly alleged such misbehavior since trade tensions between the world’s two biggest economies escalated this year.
The statement from Vietnam, which pledged to increase penalties on trade-related fraud, adds to concerns that some Chinese exporters are illegally rerouting orders after Trump imposed tariffs on $250 billion of Chinese goods and threatened to target an additional $300 billion. U.S. trading partners including Vietnam face growing pressure to stop on illicit exports as they seek to avoid being hit by tariffs themselves.

” A large puddle of tar encroached on the sidewalk and natural gas appeared to rise from the street of the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles Friday.
CBSLA’s Brittany Hopper was standing near the puddle located across the street from The La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, a national natural landmark where tar has been seeping up from the ground for tens of thousands of years.
When CBSLA reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department, they said they were unaware of the situation.
The Page Museum, who reportedly runs the tar pits, has not been in contact regarding the situation.
As of Saturday morning, it was unclear if and when crews would begin to stop the tar from seeping out further.

When the man was shown the arrest warrant his mother started yelling and screaming at the deputies. The situation escalated from there. Finally the perp, grabbed his mother by the shoulders, looked her in the eye, and told her he did it.. he was guilty. The mother looked at her son, the admitted child molester, and said, “Don’t lie to me!” The truth is the truth, whether you choose to believe it or not.

There is so much out there Gregory but this sums up the lies Frump made whdn he said he sould balance the budget,
”
“On September 8, 2017, Trump signed a bill increasing the debt ceiling. Later that day, the debt exceeded $20 trillion for the first time in U.S. history. On February 9, 2018, Trump signed a bill suspending the debt ceiling until March 1, 2019. It was $22 trillion. In just two years,Trump has overseen the fastest dollar increase in the debt of any president.
Trump’s Fiscal Year 2020 budget projects the debt would increase $5 trillion during his first term. That’s as much as Obama added while fighting a recession. Trump has not fulfilled his campaign promise to cut the debt. Instead, he’s done the opposite.”

Shortly before his inauguration, he told Sean Hannity that he would “balance the budget very quickly … I think over a five-year period. And I don’t know, maybe I could even surprise you.”

You made no quote from the book you linked.
Find a quote that fits your claim.
I guess you’ve never been around a senior C-suite type… they don’t want 200 pages of tripe when a one page summary will do… and in the piece you linked said that Obama asked for a 6 page summary to end with suggested options with check boxes for his choices.

Emery states this line of crap.
“I still read Gregory something Trump doesn’t do according to multiple sources. he gets all his information from TV.”
That would be your boy “O”.
“I,I,I,I didn’t,,, know,,,,,, I didn’t,,, hear of,,, it, till I , saw, it on the news…” You see,, I ,,, lead from,,, behind.”
That was one illiterate somebitch you voted for Emery.
Many reliable sources say his wife had a bigger Johnson than he did.
There are pictures on the net that show that’s a fact.

So Punch… what makes a campaign promise into a lie when it fails to materialize? How culpable are Dems claiming Trump to be a Russian asset for two years, not to mention Dems voting in a bloc against GOP budget proposals?

Thanks Gregory for verifying Trump told a lie when he bragged about balancing the budget. You agree with me that his promise “failed to materialize” as you put it. We always seem to come to an agreement in the end.

What bullcrap from you, Paul.
When he bragged (past tense) about balancing the budget? That wasn’t the quote you came up with.
We never come to an agreement… you have a habit of completely distorting the conversation and unilaterally declaring victory. A baldfaced lie.

From the article if you would have bothered to read it:
“Wolff quotes economic adviser Gary Cohn writing in an email: “It’s worse than you can imagine … Trump won’t read anything—not one-page memos, not the brief policy papers, nothing. He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored.”

“He gets up halfway through meetings with world leaders because he is bored.”
Can’t say that I can blame him for this.
…..and really……all you need to do Punch is nominate and elect someone else.
Now…..how difficult is that?

So that’s Emery’s claim of illiteracy? That’s a far stretch from “he can’t read”.
It’s rest home time for Emery. And Emery taking the word of a convicted liar.
The real liar here is Emery.

Too much virtue signaling at he expense of our actual citizens in great need! –
Ingraham argued California is ignoring their homeless problem and homeless vets and instead helping in favor of illegal immigrants.
“Think those homeless people including homeless vets might be able to use that money?” Ingraham said.
Ingraham also pointed out that Californians will tax citizens who don’t have health insurance, essentially reviving the penalty part of the Affordable Care Act.
“How they’re going to pay for this by the way, by taxing citizens who don’t have health insurance. In other words, reviving the penalty of Obamacare,” Ingraham said.
The Fox News host also brought up the 500 migrants from African nations — including the Republic of Congo — that have been apprehended in Texas, at the Del Rio Border Patrol sector of the U.S.-Mexico border, since May 30, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The African migrants were recently sent to San Antonio, Texas while eastern Congo is experiencing an Ebola outbreak with over 2,000 cases reported.
