   Seems obvious- if pot is legal, it is going to be cheap to get. It is a weed in many places, 12′ high along Kentucky highways in 1969. In Tucson, the price seems to be in free fall. MJ is legal as med, but not rec here. Certainly possible that the low prices are a result of CA exports- the quality suggests that and current retail is the lowest it has ever been since my earliest introduction in 1966.
   That folks, is 53 years ago. Trump indeed!

And go easy on the critique on the police blotter. I love the mistakes. It’s about the only thing in the Union I read and am this close to dropping the Union on-line subscription. Seriously close.    Walt again. Remember year after year reading all those comments from the
   Potheads….er…growers that if we don”t legalize pot growers (like make them feel like they are legit and welcomed or something), Nevada City would roll up its sidewalks and blow away like a tumbleweed rolling across the W. Texas landscape. Without pot, Nevada City will go under. Save our City!
   With selling dope, Nevada City can now pay for year round goats…..or maybe quit getting the County to float the fair village a loan year after year to cover expenses. Or, maybe pay for the garden inspection personnel. Breaking even would be a gift. 🙂
   Well, the gravy train is running behind. Like, who buys pot from a brick and mortar? Get this. I had a conversation with a little old lady last year. Inside her abode she had some weed in a baggie on her desk in the corner and was quite embarrassed that I saw it. I told her I don’t care, no biggie…which I meant cause I found it cute, besides truly not giving a hoot.
   Of course she said it was for some medical condition, but both of us knew her condition story was unconvincing…as she was trying to sound convincing, knowing she was failing miserably. She couldn’t BS me or herself. I was chuckling inside. So, I asked her where she got the pot. She said “from her gardener.”
   Yep. New to this area, don’t know nobody except her adult daughter (don’t tell the daughter about the pot…ok, I promise) and she gets it from the gardener. That what’s I call delivery. 🙂
   The Post Office and other delivery outfits have got a lot better at detecting. Technology. Man, it makes me wonder how much they catch going through the mail. CA pot historically has been 90% sent out of state. Did you read (or post) about Oregon saying they issued so many licenses, that they have 6 and a half years inventory on hand right now.
   Odd, Wednesday (?) at 6:00 pm it was 90 degrees in Big Oak Valley….and a Burn Day. Go figure.

   Perhaps you see a degree from a top school like Wharton as just four more grades to attend after high school, with seat time at a great college the same as a seat time at a lesser school, say Sierra College or Cal State Harpo. Hmmm?

   Yo all you weed experts. For what it is worth:, here are some facts: In Western Nevada County, the wholesale cost of good weed dropped to 650 last fall but is currently up to 1250-1450 pound. Certain strains will command higher (or lower) prices. Unfortunately weed does not age well, so don’t run out and expect to unload your stash of 2015 Train Wreck at today’s prices.
   Weed is a volatile commodity, but someone please explain what that means to the man who made friends of enemies who banded together to defeat a greater enemy, prohibition. Thanks Don Beesse (that’s why there is a matijuana blunt bearing your name).

   George Boardman’s column today laments the demise of dead tree media/newspapers. Yet he is blind to the major reason besides the internet. The media is biased way left and half the country is on the middle right. I have emailed many times about the AP articles they post and the attacks on Trump but the publisher and the editor tell me they are not interested. They cannot see what I and many others see. So people drop them and that has been going on across America. Yet these people cannot acknowledge their own bias. Of course, I and my conservative brethren are the problems they say. Even the Sacramento Bee fails to get it. YTheir paper is as small as the Union. But their news stories are always trashing Trump and they expect people to want to subscribe. Delusional just like Paul Emery. He is the local loony media that fails to admit their bias.

    I have never done drugs. I hardly ever have a beer or cocktail. I decided at a early age that I did not want to become addicted. Every person can decide that. Don’t take that first snort, shot, cocktail or cigarette. You have the ability to use that brain between those ears to decide not to become an addict. If you do the country would benefit in many ways. Less crime, less rehabs and trillions made by the people over time. You addicts weaken the country and even dilute your DNA as you still seem to pop a bunch of kids. Try education and water with ice and get a job. Become sane and dependable and show up on time. Don’t steal and murder to gain the money and drugs. You will then appreciate the wonderful gift of life and family and country. Try it. JUST STOP TAKING THE POISON! Those murders of Mexicans will stop too!Paul Emery should take this advice.

    Why do I appear to support Trump? I’m waiting for Democrats to accept him as the legal President, with the last election was concluded fairly with the winner having been lawfully sworn in January 2017.
    I’m also delighted with his judicial nominees. Gary Johnson could not have done better.
