    Nevada County made no choice as to who would be the next State Senator… that takes 50% +1 of the vote. The expected result from the primary is to choose the two for runoff and votes from Nevada County have no more impact than any other area in the district.
    54% of Nevada County votes were for one of the four Republicans, 46% were for one of the two Democrats.
    We’re purple. Might even be turning Red a’gin. I don’t know and neither do you.

Boosting out of our moon’s relatively shallow gravity well is much easier than boosting out of earth orbit directly, and therefore out of earth’s much deeper gravity well. So indeed, planning for a sustainable route to Mars involves our moon being part of it. Many of us think that establishing a permanent presence on the moon first is the proper way to proceed to making all interplanetary trips. And in any case, we will be in a race to do that with the Chinese and Russians, who also have their eye on the moon and its known (e.g. water) and yet to be discovered resources. Wasting time and money to build a new huge rocket to carry a manned payload from Earth orbit to Mars that is capable of returning the crew to Earth is a PR stunt with little early profit. First making the moon our permanent home has everything going for it.
    The lamestream, of course, neither understands this nor wants to give Trump credit for understanding that strategy.

    So George, you are saying that Trumps tweet is an attempt to express that “strategy,” as you word it? If that is true than you must at least admit Trump is illiterate in writing that way. Is that not a sign of the dumbing down of America when our own President can’t put in writing such a concept? Besides its your view that NASA must establish a major presence on the moon in order to render support for Mars exploration and that is quite the contrary to what Trump says when he writes “NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon” Huh I don’t get it!!!

    Yes, through the years I have heard some negative things about Mother Teresa. Not being a Catholic, it is fingernails on the blackboard to me when someone is referred to as a Saint. Saint Peter, Saint so and so. I feel stronger about the infallibly of any person. We all have feet of clay, no matter what pedestal others put them on.
    Be that as it may, the question remains. Is a quote from Mother Teresa hate speech? Is that quote from Mother Teresa hate speech? Of course not. It is obvious that Ted Cruz will never get an answer to his query from that group. Consistent standards would nice, be it a quote from Mel Brooks or Stalin.
    The problem I see is the “community values” like on college campuses and social media. One man’s meat is another man’s poison. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. The “community values” often more than not are in direct conflict with the 1st Amendment as of late.
    Cruz in the spotlight again.
