Andrea Leadsom, the Leader of the House of Commons and a prominent Brexiteer, said she could no longer carry out her duties because she “fundamentally opposes” May’s latest Brexit bill.
“I stayed in Cabinet to shape and fight for Brexit. There have been some uncomfortable compromises along the way, but you have had my determined support and loyalty in your efforts to deliver Brexit as our shared goal,” Leadsom said in her resignation letter to May, which she posted on Twitter.
HELL! May was never really for Brexit.

A small episode that happened on my trip through deep Celtic lands.
I’m SURE it was just a fluke.
We were visiting one of the many stone Neolithic structures that are there. One off the beaten path. I take a look at the compass on my phone to see just what the alignment might be, and it’s locked up. Hummm,,, never happened before. OK,,Just a glitch. I dig out the new GPS I got for the trip. WTF? It’s frozen in time as well.
It was working just fine a hour before.
It took an hour or so after we left for both to get back to working order.
The Cell phone I can understand having issues out in the middle of nowhere. Bad coverage and all.. But a high end GPS unit?
That was working inside our airplane. But not within a stone age
henge, on a clear day.
I won’t even try and speculate why those electronics crapped out for no reasonable reason. And haven’t since.

Bernie’s implementation of a national wide ban on charter schools is problematic in the sense that charter school certifications are mostly done at the state level. Sure, charter school results have been a mixed bag since they debuted, but even in the best public school districts the waiting lists grows for charter schools. What is interesting to moi is until recently charter schools was a bipartisan issue. About half of the white Democrats supported school choice, higher among non-white Democrats, and at least half the R’s. Since the Resistance, only 27% of the white Democrats now support charter schools, while the non-white Democrats overwhelming support charter schools. Orange Man Bad, charter schools bad. :).
The bottom line is still the bottom line. The public education system exists to maintain the status quo of teachers, unions, and administrators while putting students and parents lower on the priority list. The curse of charter schools is they are generally non union, which is a big no-no. It’s no surprise that charter schools have their best results against public schools in districts with the worse public schools, i.e., inner city shithole schools. So much for the Lefty mantra of choice and defenders of the down trodden.
