[AG Barr has hired experienced and highly reputed special investigator John Durham to unscramble the shady doings of and subsequent BS spewing from former FBI director James Comey, and former CIA head John Brennan (you can throw in Clapper for good measure).  The Dems are scared and furious, and desperately looking for ways to sink Durham.  Meanwhile, we’re told that surreptitious gathering of information by our government about our citizens is not ‘spying’, but is merely ‘surveillance’.  It was all those other commie and fascist governments that had and still have extensive networks and institutions that spy on their citizens.  We should all be relieved now that’s cleared up, capice?  OK, here’s your Lucky Strike extra, wanna know who the double dummies are?  Just ask someone whether Comey spied or surveilled.  gjr]

it just me, or has anyone else noticed the Iran War hype seems to be the Leftinista Media and the globalists’ push to savage Obama’s appeasement policy with the largest exporter of state terrorism on the planet?

    That did not last long.
“Iran’s decision to remove missiles from two of its boats indicated the rogue nation was de-escalating tensions surrounding its nuclear program, former CIA Chief of Station Daniel Hoffman said on Saturday. Hoffman told “America’s News HQ” that the removal was “an encouraging sign.” “I think Iran is trying to de-escalate.”

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the Dems here and nationally have no interest in discussing The Dossier? Pretty serious stuff when you consider that the Dossier is proof the Dems and Obama Administration official’s colluded with Russian disinformation experts to interfere and effect the 2016 election.
Pretty serious stuff when you consider the Dossier was used as the pretext to open up a spying campaign on a Presidential candidate, a President-elect, and then a sitting President for 6-7 months. VDH:
“Here’s what you need to know: In rushing out their assessment of Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, Obama-administration officials chose not to include the risible Steele-dossier allegations that they had put in their “VERIFIED APPLICATION” for warrants from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) because . . . wait for it . . . the allegations weren’t verified…..
“Behold how radioactive the dossier has become: Former officials now fight over which of them deserves credit for failing to further inflate its importance…..
Meanwhile, the Daily Caller’s Chuck Ross reports that Steele identified two of his sources for Kavalec: Russia’s former spy chief Vyacheslav Trubnikov and top Kremlin adviser Vladislav Surkov. This underscores the possibility that Steele was duped, and that the dossier is a Russian disinformation operation that U.S. intelligence agencies fell for. And there’s more: Trubnikov has intriguing ties to Stefan Halper, whom the FBI used as a confidential informant to approach Trump campaign figures Page, George Papadopoulos, and Sam Clovis.
“Oh, and did I mention that Steele himself did private-eye work for Oleg Deripaska, the aluminum oligarch known to be a close Putin confidant? And wouldn’t you know it: Steele was also pushing his U.S. government contacts — such as Justice Department official Bruce Ohr — to accommodate Deripaska’s desire to travel to the U.S. The idea was that Deripaska could be a valuable informant. Evidently, the FBI lost interest when Deripaska told agents that Steele’s Trump-Russia conspiracy theory was preposterous.
What a laugh they must be having in the Kremlin.“
    https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/05/the-steele-dossier-and-the-verified-application-that-wasnt/
    —————————-
“Hoffman has been a leading proponent of one theory about the dossier that has gained traction in the wake of the special counsel’s report. The former CIA officer has argued Steele likely fell victim to a Russian disinformation campaign.
“A growing number of experts in Russian intelligence operations have embraced the theory, and Attorney General William Barr testified to Congress on May 1 that he is concerned about the prospect and is looking into it.
“Hoffman has written that if the Russian government hacked Democrats’ computer systems, they could have figured out that Steele was trying to gather information on any connections between the Kremlin and Trump. Steele is also likely known to Russian intelligence given his covert work in Moscow, making it easier for Russian operatives to uncover his intelligence-gathering operation.
“Hoffman said it’s difficult to determine whether Trubnikov and Surkov were involved in a disinformation campaign — saying “it’s a hall of mirrors” — but that it can’t be ruled out. He said he could envision a scenario in which Trubnikov could sniff out Steele’s operation and spin the dossier author’s collector with false leads……..
“Halper and Dearlove publicly raised concerns about possible Russian infiltration of the Cambridge Intelligence Seminar. In December 2016, Halper was quoted in a Financial Times article saying he was resigning from the seminar due to “unacceptable Russian influence on the group.”

The mothers milk of elections is flowing in the right direction –
The RNC has seen several record hauls this year. Before the big April numbers, the RNC also pulled in a record $45.8 million in the first quarter of the year. It all adds to the $61.8 million raised for the 2019-2020 campaign, Fox News reported.
The RNC noted that it is debt-free. On the other hand, the Democrat Party claimed that it is $6.6 million in debt, Fox said. Last year the party noted it was a whopping $18 million in debt after winning the House of Representatives in 2018.
Contrary to the media’s drumbeat that everyone despises President Donald Trump, the RNC attributed its cash-rich situation to its support of the president.
“Our record-breaking April fundraising haul is yet another example of the outstanding leadership of Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel along with the overwhelming grassroots support for President Trump, and the winning results of a Republican-led agenda,” the organization said in a press release.

Yes Mr Tozer, you nailed it. It indeed has been the lamestream that started beating the war drums, and then told eveyone that the thumping was coming from the WH where Team Bolton had built a large bon fire in the middle of the Rose Garden, and, in full warpaint and feathers, were wailing and dancing around it deep into the night. BT – The Constitutional Crisis nonsense is just the latest spittle blowing by the left. All they have to do is utter the phrase over and over and the press just blasts it out as gospel. Notice there is never any attempt to explain just exactly what the point of order is with this so-called ‘crises’.
The left is now in full blown ‘big lie’ mode. If you say it enough times, it becomes reality. When pressed, all adherents cave to the fact that they really have no idea of what the hell they’re on to. They just point to the fact that a lot of others say the same thing, so it must be true.

The chi coms are coming for your businesses secrets –
Washington (CNN)Chinese-made drones may be sending sensitive flight data to their manufacturers in China, where it can be accessed by the government there, the US Department of Homeland Security warned in an alert issued Monday obtained by CNN.
The drones are a “potential risk to an organization’s information,” the alert from DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency states. The products “contain components that can compromise your data and share your information on a server accessed beyond the company itself.”
The report does not name any specific manufacturers, but nearly 80% of the drones used in the US and Canada come from DJI, which is headquartered in Shenzhen, China, according to one industry analysis. US local law enforcement organizations and infrastructure operators have grown to rely on drones in recent years.
“The United States government has strong concerns about any technology product that takes American data into the territory of an authoritarian state that permits its intelligence services to have unfettered access to that data or otherwise abuses that access,” the alert says.

U.S. intelligence collected over the past month had indicated that Iran has been installing missiles on small vessels in the Gulf region. Tehran is relying on a large network of terror proxies and allies to attack not only commercial vessels in the region, but also U.S. military assets stationed there.
Iran has a long history of conducting terror attacks in this manner, fueling worry in the Trump administration that Tehran could carry out a large-scale attack via its terror networks. In just the past two years, Iran has been identified as being responsible for at least 143 attacks against shipping vessels in the Gulf, according to expert analyses of the ongoing tensions in the region.

Ah, just ban everything. We demand, we demand, we demand.
“Omar’s comment, calling the terrorist attack on 9/11 “when some people did something,” was called out as disrespectful and outrageously dismissive. But the Women’s March, and other liberal figures like Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, labelled those who criticized Omar as “dangerous.”
What kind of tweets do the Women’s March find offensive? Trump’s tweet to Iran, threatening retaliation, was determined by the experts at the Women’s March to be “threatening violence against an entire country.” The context, where an Iranian missile landed less than a mile away from the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, was, of course, completely ignored. (As was the whole, “Crush the Great Satan” thing Iran’s been repeating for decades.)
“Other Trump tweets, such as the one where he called Senator Kirsten Gillibrand out, and the video with Ilhan Omar’s comments about 9/11, were also highlighted by the March. “Tweets like these … clearly violate the company’s policy on hateful conduct,” tweeted the March. Other accusations from the March include, “sharing hateful imagery,” “making violent threats,” and “spreading fearmongering stereotypes about people of color.”

    So who committed perjury?
Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch has flatly accused former FBI Director James Comey of mischaracterizing her statements by claiming that Lynch privately told him to call the Hillary Clinton email probe a “matter” instead of an “investigation” — a suggestion that she testified left her “quite surprised.”
Lynch made the dramatic remarks, which marked the latest public dispute to break out among high-level ex-Obama administration officials, before the House Oversight Committee last December. A transcript of her testimony was released on Monday by House Judiciary Committee ranking member Doug Collins, R-Ga.
In a June 17 interview under oath with the House Intelligence Committee, Comey said Lynch had pressed him to downplay the significance of the Clinton email review. He said the moment led him to question her independence and contributed to his decision to unilaterally hold a press conference in July 2016 announcing the conclusions of the probe.
“The attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation, but instead to call it a matter, which confused me and concerned me,” Comey testified. “That was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude, ‘I have to step away from the department if we’re to close this case credibly.’”

    Separation of Powers –
Attorney General William Barr said that his handling of the Mueller report and its aftermath is rooted in a desire to defend the power of the executive branch rather than personal support for President Trump.
“I felt the rules were being changed to hurt Trump, and I thought it was damaging for the presidency over the long haul,” Barr told The Wall Street Journal in El Salvador in an interview published Monday, where he traveled last week to boost support for Trump’s policies toward the violent street gang MS-13.
“At every grave juncture the presidency has done what it is supposed to do, which is to provide leadership and direction,” Barr added. “If you destroy the presidency and make it an errand boy for Congress, we’re going to be a much weaker and more divided nation.”

The fish was rotting from the head –
They worked exclusively for two groups of “customers,” officials said. The first was Obama and fewer than 14 senior officials in government. The second was a team of operations specialists at the CIA, NSA and FBI who took direction from the task force on where to aim their subsequent efforts to collect more intelligence on Russia.
The number of Obama administration officials who were allowed access to the Russia intelligence was also highly limited, The Post reported. At first only four senior officials were involved: Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Attorney General Loretta Lynch and then-FBI Director James Comey. Their aides were all barred from attending the initial meetings, The Post stated.
    The newspaper continued :
Gradually, the circle widened to include Vice President Biden and others. Agendas sent to Cabinet secretaries — including John F. Kerry at the State Department and Ashton B. Carter at the Pentagon — arrived in envelopes that subordinates were not supposed to open. Sometimes the agendas were withheld until participants had taken their seats in the Situation Room.
Adding another layer of secrecy, the newspaper reported that when the closed Cabinet sessions on Russia began in the White House Situation Room in August, the video feed from the main room was cut off during the meetings.
The feed, which allows only for video and not audio, is usually kept on so that senior aides can see when a meeting takes place.
    The paper reported:
The blacked-out screens were seen as an ominous sign among lower-level White House officials who were largely kept in the dark about the Russia deliberations even as they were tasked with generating options for retaliation against Moscow.

Food for thought: “Why do we let people drive a car at an earlier age than own a handgun? Cars kill more people than guns — probably partly because of letting young people drive.” —Frank J. Fleming
Say that again. Slowly. “[Republicans] do not believe that women should have the right to make the most intimate, personal, life-and-death decisions.” —Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand
Busted: “Trump has taken a series of steps to deliberately escalate tensions with Iran. … Trump must stop this dangerous game, and rein in advisors who seem hell bent on starting a war.” —Rep. Adam Schiff, who had this to say in 2015: “We should make it clear that if Iran cheats, the repercussions will be severe. … It will never be permitted to produce highly enriched uranium, and if it attempts to do so, it will be stopped with force.”
The BIG Lie: “In some important ways, my generation has failed you. We spent too much time debating, too focused on the fight and not enough on progress.” —Apple CEO Tim Cook to Tulane University graduates (Only insofar as too many parents from the previous generation raised a bunch of indoctrinated snowflakes.)
Non-starter: “As president of the United States, I wouldn’t use the [immigrant] detention system at all.” —Kirsten Gillibrand
Wait — aren’t we two years past the end of our democracy? “The big gamble is to go all the way to November 2020 … and lose. It’s the end of democracy.” —actor Jeff “Dumb and Dumber” Daniels
Non compos mentis: “When someone says that it’s too hard to do a green space that grows yucca instead of, I don’t know, cauliflower or something, what you’re doing is that you’re taking a colonial approach to environmentalism, and that is why a lot of communities of color get resistant to certain environmentalist movements, because they come with the colonial lens on them.” —Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
And last… “Carly Fiorina said something on Shapiro’s podcast that’s devastatingly true: unsolved problems win elections. Having good judgement is white supremacy –
The New York City Department of Education has instructed its teachers that “objectivity” and “individuals” are “white supremacist” concepts.
According to a report from the New York Times, Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza gave a presentation about “white supremacy” culture. In the lesson, Carranza claims that concepts like “perfectionism,” “paternalism,” and “objectivity” are part of “white supremacy culture.”

The practice of moving up the democrat political ladder after letting Willie Brown grunt and sweat on top of you for a couple of years.
Usage: Remember Kamala Harris…..she was going nowhere until she found herself benefitting from poontronage…..now she’s running for President!

Sounds more like OCD to me …..like our spelling Nazis and other perfectionists. Ah, guilty as charged. Objectivity, gabbing about individuals……busted! I have no defense. 🙂

    @ 11:07: Kamala.
Well, she was pretty silent on the sex strike talk. I read somewhere that she backed the GND, reparations, and gun confiscation in the hopes of nobody noticing her hair.

Boy, France is sounding more like our Progressives everyday. Sounds exactly like the Dem Prez candidates running or 2020, plus add in AOC, that immigrant Congresswoman from Minnesota who married her brother, and that crazy Congress chick from Michigan whose name starts with a T. Welcome them all and help them “resettle”.
“France does not belong to the French,” one man can be heard shouting. “Everyone has a right to be here!”

    What’s a stripper to do –
Michael Avenatti, the attorney who rocketed to fame through his representation of porn star Stormy Daniels in her battles with President Donald Trump, was charged Wednesday with ripping her off.
Federal prosecutors in New York City say Avenatti used a doctored document to divert about $300,000 that Daniels was supposed to get from a book deal, then used the money for personal and business expenses. Only half of that money was paid back, prosecutors said.
Daniels isn’t named in the court filing, but the details of the case, including the date her book was released, make it clear that she is the client involved.

From the ‘Days of our Lives’ latest episode. Looks like Trump is messing with John’s head.

Now on to the bigger picture. Party is over, but dreams of Tax Returns may lift their spirits. Conrad Black.
“The Democrats have painted themselves into a corner. They must put up or shut up, impeach or back down. The president has called their bluff and the game is about to end, either an embarrassing defeat for the Democrats or political annihilation. Pelosi is no galvanizing leader, but she is a cagey veteran. She has tried to warn her more-furious caucus members of what they are getting into but is obviously having trouble controlling her partisans. I assume contemplation of what awaits will induce the House Democrats to opt for a trip to the woodshed over the political gallows, but it would be impetuous to bet a five-cent cigar on their collective judgment. Their attempt at regicide has failed completely; it’s still a bit of a long shot, but they might just manage suicide, not from justified conscientious shame, but out of witless antagonism. One way or the other, the papier-mâché Damoclean sword of impeachment will disintegrate just as the prominent Democrats who grievously abused their offices in trying to destroy Trump get ready for their own trials. Both sides come to bat in this legal game, and the Democrats have struck out.”
