[The $2T infrastructure bill is going to be a problem that the Dems hope will choke Team Trump. What about letting the several states plan and do the infrastructure work in their states under a coordinated plan from the feds. The states can come up with novel public/private funding schemes which may involve the feds only to the extent of guaranteeing loans and bond issues of those they approve. Thoughts? gjr]

The DREAM Act has reportedly temporarily stalled in the House because amnesty activists are insisting that Democrats grant a pathway to citizenship to illegal immigrants who have committed crimes.

Yes, the Mecklers moved here from SoCal more that 20 years ago. And Stan did indeed launch Bubba’s Bagels, and Elaine, a sworn law-enforcement officer, continued her career with the county. Both were active leads in volunteer organizations like the Food Bank, Women of Worth, and CASA (court appointed special advocates) for children. They gave generously to many of our local charities. Of course, they were also active Republicans, and co-founders of the Tea Party.
And you? What kind of a community pillar are you to take people like the Mecklers to task? How has our community benefited from your efforts? All you have shown of yourself to be is a sniping low-life who can’t put a shred of reason behind your rants.

Though I was never a member of the Tea Party, they were in my view an honorable and honest group of five million. They were subjected to the lies of the press just like Palin, Trump and most any conservative. The media hates people that have a conservative value system. The reason is the media are jealous. Their lives are vacuous and unmeaningfull and they see the happiness of conservatives and they just go nutty. Pelline is a five hundred pound homely old “get off my lawn” liberal just like OOZE. They are not nice people and they hole up in their basements typing in their PJs. They have to tear down and denigrate those they are jealous of and so I suggest we take that as an affirmation of their jealousy for much nicer and better people. OOZE and elline are nobodies. Why the need for drugs? Lack of purpose in life – lack of connection with society? Bottom line – do folks take drugs because of their low cost? Or because they simply want some kind of release from some sort of pain, or release of stress from reality? In the 1800’s American males got roaring drunk a lot. By the early 1900s it had gotten so bad, women and some men actually amended the Constitution to prohibit alcohol from general consumption. It was a facade of course. My staid and genteel grandparents always had a supply of hootch around obtained by various means. Some drugs are worse than others. And there is always the stigma of low cost drugs vs high class drugs. Meth is a cheap high but it really makes dental visits a non-essential point. If you have more bucks you can wig out on stuff that isn’t quite as invasive to your physical health, but won’t do your brain any good.
We know what kind of upbringing tends to keep kids from doing drugs. Might we simply do more of that?
Oh – sorry – not on the left wing agenda.
