[To impeach or not to impeach – that is the question. BTW, it appears that the number of leftwing readers regularly contributing to comment streams now outnumbers those leaning to starboard. Judge rules on War Monuments
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WSET) — A judge has ruled that statues of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas Stonewall Jackson are war monuments and cannot be removed by the city without approval from the state.
CNN reports the judge ruled that neither the intentions of the people who erected the statues nor how they make people feel the change that they pay homage to the Civil War.
Judge Richard E. Moore said in his ruling that it is illegal for municipalities to remove such monuments, per the Virginia state code.
“It is the very reason the statues have been complained about from the beginning. It does no good pretending they are something other than what they actually are,” he said.
https://wpde.com/news/nation-world/judge-rules-charlottesville-statues-as-war-memorials-protected-by-state-04-30-2019
More in depth.
Moore in his decision cited how the two statues are depicted in military uniforms and on horses associated with the Civil War.
โI believe that defendants have confused or conflated 1) what the statues are with 2) the intentions or motivations of some involved in erecting them, or the impact that they might have on some people and how they might make some people feel,โ Moore wrote his in his ruling. โBut that does not change what they are.”
Virginia state code makes it illegal for local municipalities to remove monuments to war, Moore found.

Good job LE and alert citizens for stopping this recent convert.
โThe San Diego Union-Tribune reported that, according to a federal affidavit, the suspect considered “various attacks โ including targeting Jews, churches, and police officers” and ultimately “decided to detonate an IED at a rally scheduled to take place in Long Beach this past weekend. As part of the plot, [the suspect] asked his confederate โ who actually was cooperating with the FBI as part of the investigation โ to find a bomb-maker, and [the suspect] last week purchased several hundred nails to be used as shrapnel inside the IED.”
โThe Department of Justice noted that the suspect expressed “his desire to commit a terrorist act, at points contemplating a drive-by shooting with a modified AK-47-style rifle he owned, and at other points considering the use of an IED,” adding that he “allegedly expressed support for ISIS and said ‘if ISIS came here, he would swear allegiance to ISIS.’”

Brother Walt, they are always offended. They wake up everyday and they first thing they ask is โWhat can we be offended about today?โ The second thing they ask is โWho can we make into the victim of the day today?โ
Best quote I heard last week was โAny student who requests a safe place on a university campus should be immediately expelled.โ Its a college campus, not a kindergarten…if they canโt handle a different point of view that is outside what their group think and professors tell them what to believe, then they are not ready for college. Perhaps unfounded, but I would not put it past the Leftinistas. Fast and Furious on steroids. If true, this is quite HAIR RAISIiNG. There is nothing good about Antifa.
โThe FBI is investigating anti-fascist activists for an alleged plot to buy guns from a Mexican cartel in order to โstage an armed rebellionโ at the southern border, according to an unclassified document obtained by The Chicago Tribune.
The FBI document, from December of 2018, warns of militant antifa activists planning to โdisrupt security operationsโ at the U.S.-Mexico border. The group allegedly planned to buy guns from a Mexican cartel associate known as Cobra Commander, in order to โstage an armed rebellion at the border.โ
https://dailycaller.com/2019/04/29/fbi-antifa-plot-armed-rebellion-cartel/
โSuch activists that label themselves โantifaโ or โantifascistโ are tied to often-violent left-wing protest groups. For example, an alleged antifa leader was arrested and charged earlier this year with aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation in connection to an attack on two U.S. Marines.โ
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/fbi-investigating-alleged-antifa-scheme-to-stage-an-armed-rebellion-at-the-border
The report dropped just hours before CNN host Chris Cuomo called the anti-fascist group โa good cause,โ as The Daily Wireโs Ryan Saavedra previously reported.
โโโโโ-
Oh course, The Enemy of the People sees Antifa differently.
โCuomo made the comments as two contributors pointed out the group is just the opposite.
โChris, Antifa is not a good cause,โ said CNNโs Steve Cortes. “Antifa does not have good aims, Antifa wants power, wants political power, taken through force. That’s what Antifa is all about.”
The Daily Caller also reminded readers that former Vice President Joe Biden launched his presidential campaign in part by praising Antifa, referring to those who showed up in Charlottesville, VA, and engaged in a violent confrontation with white supremacists as โa courageous group of Americans.โ
