Thanks for all the gun range links Walt. Very good to know, I’m sure. In my entire life I’ve never shot at a gun range. I’d prefer to shoot unrestricted on my own than be surrounded by a bunch of kooks getting their rocks off. All I need to know about shooting ranges is what I’ve seen at Spenceville. Bunch of jacked up pickups, beer bellies, and endless trash – human and otherwise. Maybe you were there?

https://dailycaller.com/2019/03/15/missouri-andrew-mcdaniel-ar15/
Republican Missouri State Rep. Andrew McDaniel proposed legislation that would require every citizen of the state to own an AR-15.
House Bill No. 1108, titled the “McDaniel Militia Act,” would mandate and offer tax credits to every person between the ages of 18 and 34 who is legally allowed to possess a firearm and possesses not just any weapon, but one based on the ArmaLite, Inc. AR-15 design.
Citizens are given one year to obtain an AR-15 under the bill, and they are only allowed to sell an AR-15 if they own another one. (RELATED: One Of Georgia’s Safest Cities REQUIRES Its Citizens To Own A Gun)
“Every resident of this state shall own at least one AR-15. Any person who qualifies as a resident on August 28, 2019, and who does not own an AR-15 shall have one year to purchase an AR-15,” the bill reads. “Any resident qualifies as a resident after August 28, 2019, and does not own an AR-15 shall purchase an AR-15 no later than one year after qualifying as a resident.”
Yup,, can smell him from here.

The New York Times reports, “Writing that he had purposely used guns to stir discord in the United States over the Second Amendment’s provision on the right to bear arms, he also declared himself a fascist. ‘For once, the person that will be called a fascist, is an actual fascist,’ he wrote.”
“He is sympathetic to the ideals espoused by Bernie Sanders and wants state control of corporations.” The manifesto’s author called himself an “Eco-fascist” who wanted a form of “Green Nationalism.” He railed against humans for destroying the environment and causing global warming, and he advocated government control to stop it. “The nation with the closest political and social values to my own,” he wrote, “is the People’s Republic of China.” That would be Communist China.
Right wing? Hardly.

WASHINGTON (AP) — El Salvador’s president-elect said Wednesday that he has not decided whether to keep relations with China, but criticized the Asian nation as not being respectful to his country.
In his first public remarks since winning election last month, the 37-year-old Nayib Bukele said China does not respect the rules of commerce, manipulates its currency and meddles into other countries’ democracies. He did not provide specific details on his criticism.
“We want to be friends with China, but China has to be friends with us,” Bukele said during the first day of this three-day visit to Washington. “I don’t mean money or investment, but respect.”
Last year, current President Salvador Sanchez Ceren switched El Salvador’s diplomatic recognition from Taiwan to Beijing, a move that prompted Washington to recall its ambassador.
In El Salvador’s capital, the country’s Supreme Court on Wednesday provisionally suspended the cancellation of a trade agreement with Taiwan and agreed to hear a challenge to its legality. The ending of the deal had been scheduled to take place March 15.

Let’s use some math to see how this latest NZ shooting relates to America.
USA population = 327M. NZ pop.= 5M. Ratio = 65:1.
Killed in NZ last week = 49. Ratio this up to U.S. = 3185. Were there 3100 U.S. gun mass shooting deaths in the U.S. in the last 365 days? Uh… that would be NO. What about since 1966? Uh…that would be NO.
From the Wash Post, no less, updated Feb 16, 2019 by Bonnie Berkowitz & others (updated from several previous articles): “There is no universally accepted definition of a public mass shooting, and this piece defines it narrowly. It looks at the 162 shootings in which four or more people were killed by a lone shooter (two shooters in a few cases). It does not include shootings tied to gang disputes or robberies that went awry, and it does not include domestic shootings that took place exclusively in private homes.”…”1,153 killed”.
Automobile related deaths since 1967 = 2,217,000. There is a reason for wanting self-driving cars, since humans seem to drive so poorly. Makes you wonder why the Democrats have not been pursuing self-shooting firearms, if gun deaths are such a problem, doesn’t it?

Interesting to watch signs of pushback in blue states. Abortion, guns, and education.
Abortion:
“New Mexico’s bill was supposed to be a slam dunk. But after New York, nothing on abortion is a sure thing — not anymore. In a country that saw a 17-point jump in the number of pro-lifers since January, it’s no wonder that state Democrats are taking a good hard look at their positions, especially on late-term abortion. Americans have changed — and it looks like smart politicians are changing with them.
“No one was more surprised by Thursday night’s vote than Governor (and abortion extremist) Michelle Lujan Grisham (D). After the House had sent the bill on with a 40-29 vote, the Democrats’ stranglehold on the Senate was supposed to mean that the New York-style H.B. was a done deal. But despite the party’s 26-16 edge, the vote fell far from party lines. In a stunning victory for pro-lifers, eight Democrats crossed over — killing a bill that would have legalized infanticide and given abortionists the right to destroy babies up to the moment of birth.
“During an emotional debate, some Democrats struggled to come up with a reason why New Mexico should leave perfectly healthy babies on a hospital table to die. Senator Ramos of Silver City told his chamber, “This is one of the toughest decisions any of us will ever have to make.” But, he went on, “I stand unified against legislation that weakens the defense of life and threatens the dignity of the human being.” While others sometimes spoke through tears, the tension inside the Democratic caucus was obvious.
“In one strained exchange, two Democrats squared off against each other. Senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino of Albuquerque quoted St. Antoninus to justify why Catholics should feel free to vote for the bill. “The importance of individual choice is what the church has always taught,” he said. Senator Ramos demanded to know which Catholic Church he was talking about. “Mine does not approve of abortion,” Ramos said. Then, to his colleagues he said simply, “Vote your conscience.”

Guns
“In fact, the local governments of 25 of New Mexico’s 33 counties have declared themselves to be “sanctuary” counties where the gun-control laws will not be enforced, and 29 of the 33 county sheriffs are refusing to enforce the laws. The New Mexico Sheriff’s Association has also warned it will sue the state if the new gun laws are enacted
These revolts are occurring not just in New Mexico, but in even more Democrat-dominated states like Washington, Colorado, and Illinois, where the state legislature is seeking to ban commonly owned semiautomatic weapons; which is to say, nearly all firearms.”

“In one of the more fiery exchanges of the night, a mom seethed that so many liberals were trying to marginalize California’s multi-ethnic communities. “How can a state that claims to be so much for the rights of immigrants and minorities then ignore our concerns on purpose? They are hypocrites!” Although California’s law does order schools to offer the curriculum outline in both languages, Santa Ana hasn’t made the Spanish materials available to parents. Hardly an accident, Kira argues, since most of the communities like this one are “whole-heartedly opposed to LGBT-based sex-ed.”
“All these people were asking for was a say, a chance to be involved, to be heard and to be active participants in the education of their children. They were asking for respect and instead received nothing but contempt and disrespect from the very people they trust to care for the development of their students.” But, she warns, “If you think this is just another case of ‘whacky’ California paying the price for their ‘whacky’ voting habits, think again. This is coming to a state and a school district near you.”

Another day at the Nevada County home of White Supremacy I see. Same old angry white right wing loners ranting over and over and over. This blog is really something to be proud of ha? Hey Walt, have you figured out yet that NZ has the most lax gun laws in the western world? Just ask their people and their government who are now about to change that. They actually do something in response to mass murder caused by firearms.
Absolutely no difference between the Australian terrorist’s manifesto and the typical rantings of people like Walt, Todd and Bill Tozer. Same written stuff and the same backgrounds. Rejection of higher education, bad luck with women, surrounding oneself with guns to overcome insecurity. Aren’t you all so proud to contribute to the forces of white supremacy. The great divide, nationalism, all the other shit and conspiracy theories that is spouted out every day here. At least people know this and are watching.

In the “here is the best way to handle gun violence” category — Kellyanne Conway said we should all “just shut up and pray”. Yep, that solves it..simply brilliant. Now if everybody just shuts up and prays there won’t be any time to go and gun down 50 people who just happen to have a different religion and skin color.. naw that ain’t racist.. It is probably Hillary Clinton’s fault that the nut job wacked all those innocent people in his effort to start race wars.
PS to Davey from Carmichael — wrong again Clouseau. It must be tough to be and have been stuck in first gear your whole life.
