The list of admired Presidents, given belatedly by Punch, had Obama (who had lied to the American people over and over), both Bushes (who kept their zippers up but the younger had a drunk driving conviction and the other ran the CIA for a time), Reagan (who was a randy fellow in his younger days, including bopping a teenaged Elizabeth Taylor when he was in his 30’s), Ford (who was never elected President). Carter (who had issues about blacks being deflected to the back door and the Playboy interview where he admitted to lust in his heart), Johnson (who had a virtual harem), Eisenhower (who had a longtime babe on the side) and Truman (whose wife couldn’t keep him from swearing a blue streak).
All fallible human beings though Carter was probably the truest husband and the worst president of the lot.

fish … what was wrong with the Squire of Gothos episode? All of the old Trek episodes were pretty bad by modern standards. and Tremaine got in some good jabs to Kirk. The other episode was The Trouble With Tribbles… he was the Captain of one of the Klingon ships.
I really don’t like the reissued versions with good computer generated special effects… the models dangling from the wires were half the fun!

McCain, after he was involved in passing along the Fusion GPS “dossier”, gave up much of his hero status and he became increasingly petty in his later years. Some of which might have been due to his brain tumor… but he did leave his state without a Senator for far too long.

Vessel Logistics, a San Francisco-based cannabis distribution company, found that more than 1,142 acres of cannabis farms hold state permits. They can produce up to 9 million pounds of crop every year, but the permitted wholesale market can realistically support 1.8 million to 2.2 million pounds.
“Thus, even when a 50 percent cut in production is accounted for, a significant oversupply is unavoidable in 2019,” the report concluded.
California isn’t the only state to grapple with an overproduction of bud. A state audit found that Oregon growers are producing twice as much cannabis as the state market can support, and that there is “more than six year’s worth of supply sitting on shelves and farms,” according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.

Yep. Trump knew and no wonder he hates McCain. That Dossier caper McCain was involved in unfortunately will forever leave a blackmark on McCain’s record. I will blame the brain tumor to be nice.
Trump knew that the Kavanaugh leaks about Blassy Ford came from Di-Fi’s office. No wonder he called her Sneaky Dianne.

A big part of me wants Trump to release a bunch of stuff related to the Great Russian Hoax. When Hillary lost, it was an “Oh shit!” moment for the Obama Administration and the FB and DOJ. They raced to plant the smoking gun on Trump’s body and cover their tracks. Trump did not cause the mistrust in our institutions, he exposed it.
At first I was thinking that Trump is holding back from releasing the goods on the bad boys until the Mueller report is completed and the IG report about the DOJ involvement with the FISA warrant on Carter Page of all people. Don’t want to be accused of obstructing justice….again, A Trump tweet is now called obstruction of justice!, ROFLMAO. Right…
But now…..drumroll please…..but nowI think Trump is holding that bazoka back until the timing is right. He is sandbagging…..like calling Dianne Crimescene ‘Sneaky’ and his reaction to McCain. Paul, I’ve explained to you the paying for the wall BS before. He never said when, he never said how. It was hyperbole.
He even announced a trade deal he negotiated with Mexico as being 10 billion (placeholder for a big number) and paying for the wall… just as I expected.
I have said before he could have bonked the pornstar. Or other babes. He didn’t exactly have a reputation for not indulging in extramarital bonks before he met Melania and she would have to have been blind not to notice. But as Hillary Clinton said about her marriage, that’s between husband and wife and their eventual divorce lawyers if it gets to that point.
And no, it wasn’t 17 intelligencies that signed off on the Clapper (or was it Brennan) memo… it was a handful of people handpicked by Clapper (or was it Brennan) in three different agencies that signed it off, but that was enough for the weakminded, like you, to accept as the Gospel Truth.

The “Squire of Gothos” seemed like an afterthought……”The Trouble with Tribbles” was a classic! And yes……he did play the Klingon commander and played it rather understatedly compared to the over the top performance of his first officer who started the fight in the bar!

Paul, the answer was already given. He’d even said after one trade agreement was made that it WAS the wall payment. Little by little.
It’s like most of the “lies” that you come up with… taken out of context, with a worst case spin, unwilling to look at interpretations that make it true or at least reasonably so.
Really, Paul. Give it a rest.
The difference with Obama and healthcare is that he KNEW it was a lie that people who liked their plan would be able to keep it. That they’d be able to keep their doctor if they liked their doctor. And, perhaps the biggest and baddest lie… that the average family would save $2500 a year.

Hey Paul. I admire your tenacity in trying to convince everyone Trump is a horrible President. I have had the conversation with my liberal friends often. Nobody can dislodge a Trump voter from Trump except Trump. The only thing that will dislodge such a Trump voter is when he becomes one of “them.” If he acts like a politician, he gone. Virtually all Trump voters will vote to re-elect and there isn’t anything you or MSNBC or CNN or even Mueller can say that will change that. In fact the only person that I will even consider other than Trump is Schultz. I would like to hear more from him, but I think that he is four years early in any event. I don’t see another Republican or Democrat on the horizon that I’d even remotely consider. Interesting times in which we live and it was nice to very quickly bump into last week.

Well, finally the Dems have policies and plans we can discuss. Finally. It’s been like living through a five year drought.
1) Abolish the Senate.
2) Abolish the Electoral College
3) Stack SCOTUS with more justices.
3a) Term limits on SCOTUS (to keep the court from becoming politicalized) 🙂
3b) Age limits on SCOTUS ( Ruth Badder Ginsberg exempted) 🙂
4) Make every vote count. (Not every valid or legal vote, but every vote) 🙂
5) Abolish the Senate filibuster rule)

So, when and where did Trump say that? The link is eventually to a campaign document apparently written by a low level staffer, Ashley Mocarski, in early October ’16 when things were crazy.
Trump saying that would be an instance of his lips flapping and sounds of the words coming out, tones being generated by air squirting through his vocal cords.
Even if it can be found, it wasn’t a campaign position that lasted very long.
