Who said the Queen of the Damned had better approval ratings?
    https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/427254-new-poll-shows-speaker-pelosis-approval-rating-down-during-government
“A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows that Speaker Nancy Pelosi — not President Donald Trump — plummeted most in popularity during the 35-day government shutdown.”
    https://dailycaller.com/2019/01/28/poll-pelosi-approval-rating-plummets/
“Pelosi’s approval rate dropped by six points during the 35-day government shutdown, as 47 percent of Americans surveyed rated Pelosi as “very negative,” while only 28 percent rated her favorably.
President Donald Trump’s ratings remain relatively unchanged, with 43 percent of Americans approving of his job performance and and 54 percent disapproving. Trump’s rating is down only 3 percent since November, ”
That’s what you get listening to Marxist news.

Grass Valley Dreamery is now working 7 12 hour days a week to keep up with demand for its edibles. Elevation 2477 (with Bessee’s name sake blunts) is sending out driver’s to source their edibles because they can’t take deliveries quickly enough to satisfy demand. Local favs like Tahoe Kush and Holy Grail are sold out every week.
So Walt, if “THEY are not buying legal weed in the stores” who is?

    For Dougy
    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/02/us/buying-legal-weed-in-california.html
“sales fell. Around $2.5 billion of legal cannabis was sold in California in 2018, half a billion dollars less than in 2017 when only medical marijuana was legal, according to GreenEdge, a sales tracking company.”
“The easy part of legalization was persuading people to vote for it, industry analysts say. The hard part, now that it’s legal, is persuading people to stop buying from the black market.”
    https://www.thegrowthop.com/cannabis-culture/cannabis-trends/californians-still-prefer-buying-marijuana-thats-off-the-grid
“One of their in-depth surveys on the high cost of legal cannabis sheds some light on how many people are still buying herb the way they have always done prior to legalization.
Other than financial reasons, the survey does not delve too deeply into the reservations people have about buying legal weed, such as having to give up their second amendment right to keep and bear arms or the violation of HIPAA laws that data mining of medical marijuana users causes.
From Marijuana Business Daily’s point of view, consumers buying weed on the black market is cause for concern. Why are people who have been smoking pot all along not jumping on the legal weed bandwagon? How dare they not pay higher prices and obscene taxes? Don’t they know shareholders need profits?
Reality check: Why should consumers pay higher prices for a lower quality product?”
    Hummm
I do believe I said something like that from the beginning.
Yes, SOME will hit the new pot shops for the novelty.
Then return to reality and cheap good stuff

Dems are all for Border Security, they just are opposed to security the border.
Finally, there were the comments from Democrat presidential frontrunner Kamala Harris, who pledged, “I’m not going to vote for a wall under any circumstances, and I do support border security.” She then talked about employing cameras and drones along the border, while at the same time decrying the effectiveness of a wall, stating, “The idea that we’re going to sell this thing to the American public and require taxpayers of our country to pay $5 billion for something that will not deliver what he is suggesting we need is ridiculous, and I will not support it.” In this same interview, Harris expressed support for eliminating private health insurance in favor of creating a government-run single-payer health care system that is estimated to cost taxpayers $32.6 trillion over the next decade. Talk about wasting taxpayer money on an ineffectual government power grab.

Ain’t easy being a comic nowadays. Self awareness, honesty, the ability to laugh at oneself…… or being overall good natured folks is not quite the Lefties’s strong suit. Especially the self awareness part, ability to laugh at oneself part….ah, nevermind. Tough crowd.
When the revolution comes there will be no more restrictions on free speech. 🙂

“Comedy is becoming woke,” he says. Not just that. Comics are becoming timorous and cringing and bowing to the dictates of the cultural leaders. “That’s why I came into comedy, so I could march in lockstep with society,” Quinn says sarcastically. When people asked him as a young comic what he wanted to do, “I said I don’t care, as long as I can reinforce mainstream behavior.”
The name of Quinn’s show is Red State Blue State, and on the surface Quinn is staking out some neutral territory between enemy camps in the culture war. But he isn’t really, because he understands who the aggressors in that war are. One side is begging to be left to its own ways, and it isn’t the side shouting “tolerance.” And when he defines red states vs. blue states, he says, “Red states, a little bit racist. Blue states, a little bit fascist.” The audience didn’t see that one coming. There was a sharp intake of breath at the Greenwich Village venue when Quinn noted that the Left hates free speech. The collective thought bubble over the audience’s head read, “Who, us? We merely want to destroy teens who wear unapproved hat messages and ban films that are critical of Hillary Clinton.”

You ever try to buy vape pens or edibles on the street? How about tincture and essential oils? How about THC dispensed by mg/ml for medical conditions. You are living in the 60’s still believing MJ is sold in three fingered lids.
Supply cannot meet demand in the white market yet. Has nothing to do with dank Mexican weed grown in the forest, but a moving target of regulations that simply make it cheaper and easier to buy some puffable off the street. January 2018 brought new regulations for edibles, July 2018 changed the labeling laws for edibles, Jan 2019 once again changed the dosing for edibles and added new lab tests . . . which meant all existing edibles in the pipeline had to be tossed (or sold on the black market). MJ has been legal for 10 years and Nevada County is still drawing up an ordinance. Few people are willing to invest until the dust settles and they aren’t left holding a million bucks worth of unsellable product.

How far things have come, just murder the living infant –
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D.) commented Wednesday about a controversial 40-week abortion bill and in so doing said the law allows an abortion to take place after the infant’s birth.
“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” Northam said, alluding to the physician and mother discussing whether the born infant should live or die.

President of the Santa Barbara City College Board of Trustees, Robert Miller, has decided to reinstate the Pledge of Allegiance at board meetings, amid backlash for his decision to ban the pledge after claiming it is racist and in violation of the constitution.
Miller announced last week that he had decided to discontinue the Pledge of Allegiance at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) board meetings, on the grounds that he believes the pledge is racist, as well as in violation of the First Amendment.
“I decided to discontinue use of the Pledge of Allegiance for reasons related to its history and symbolism,” said Miller in an email, “I have discovered that the Pledge of Allegiance has a history steeped in expressions of nativism and white nationalism.”

I was thinking about a thing that Trotsky said in the introduction to his history on the Russian Revolution:
“The masses go into a revolution not with a prepared plan of social reconstruction, but with a sharp feeling that they cannot endure the old regime.”

The Pledge remains remarkably cohesive if one just deletes the words “under God, indivisible”, removing the damage inflicted by the Knights of Columbus and the ultimate purpose of the pledge, to indoctrinate kids to the idea that the country is “indivisible” so don’t you dare to ever even think of seceding.
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, with liberty and justice for all.”

I’m sure “the usual suspects” were livid about this injustice perpetrated by the president in order to grease the skids for a political supporter….

“Gerald Walpin, the inspector general who was at the center of controversy in 2009 when he was fired by the White House amid an investigation of an Obama friend, died today. He was 84.
Walpin’s son-in-law, Allan Tananbaum, said Walpin was struck by a car while crossing a street in Manhattan.
Walpin was fired in June 2009 for his investigation of the misuse of money in AmeriCorps, the service organization that was part of the Corporation for National and Community Service, where Walpin served as inspector general. The investigation focused on Kevin Johnson, the former NBA star who became mayor of Sacramento, Calif., and was a prominent Obama supporter.
Johnson founded a school called St. Hope, which received about $850,000 in AmeriCorps grants.Walpin discovered that Johnson and St. Hope had failed to use the federal dollars they received for the purposes specified in the grant and had also, as Walpin told me in an interview at the time, used federally funded AmeriCorps staff for, among other things, “driving [Johnson] to personal appointments, washing his car and running personal errands.”
Walpin recommended that Johnson and St. Hope be barred from receiving future federal funds.
It turned out to be an enormously controversial recommendation. As Walpin finished his probe, Johnson was elected mayor of Sacramento. If Johnson had been barred from receiving federal grant money, the city might not have been able to receive a share of the billions of dollars in federal stimulus money being handed out by the Obama administration.
There was enormous pressure on Walpin to back off. He didn’t. On June 10, Walpin received a call from a White House lawyer. “He said, ‘Mr. Walpin, the president wants me to tell you that he really appreciates your service, but it’s time to move on,’” Walpin recalled to me later. “[He] said, ‘You can either resign, or I’ll tell you that we’ll have to terminate you.’”
Walpin declined to resign and was fired on the spot. His firing was a violation of rules regarding the dismissal of inspectors general.

Come gather children and let me share a tale of something I saw at Santa Barbara City College many moons ago. I took the long trip to see the Grandfparents in a place in California named Santa Barbara. We were walking down at the harbor and around when lo and behold, I looked over to the athletic field behind SBCC. I saw this guy with short shorts on and his pretty hair pouncing off his shoulders. I thought within myself that guy looks kinda girly with those short shorts and hopping across the field. It was Bruce Jenner. He had just won the Olympic Dethalon and took a job coaching at SBCC.
My keen eye for perception and discernment has never let me down, generally speaking. Sure, the major exemption has been when it comes to picking the right ladies……

Under God? Well, there are Deep historical roots to it. Without those roots the Declaration Of Independence or the Constitution would have never been written as it was. A higher authority, self evident truths. Equality under the eyes of God, equality under the law.
Yes, we are not a Christian nation or a Muslim nation or Jewish Nation, or even the Great Spirit Nation. Nobody has cornered the morality market or has elusive rights to ethics.
With that said, I believe gov’t cannot show favoritism to one religion over the other. I also believe that government cannot get into the religious business but religion can and does enter government.
I may be able to burn an American flag at a Fourth of July parade or wear a MAGA hat to a lib rally in Portlandia or Nirvana City on the Hill, or even change the rules at a committee hearing to not requiring someone to swear on a stack of Bibles, but it is unreasonable to expect no blow back, like it or not, legal or not. See my link above for an example. It’s only my opinion and my opinion is only important to me…and some others. And I am neither Catholic or Jewish or Muslim or Hindu or Druid.
Freedom of religion to worship and believe as you choose (including no worship) is like voting. One has the right to vote and the right not to vote. Freedom of religion does not mean freedom from religion in our common cultural and historical influences. Roots.

Honestly do the democrats understand how bad they look to the country? All about abortion. Now personally I think a woman has to deal with her own God and morals if she aborts and the government should not be telling her what to do. But there is a line regarding morality and ethics that I and most Americans won’t cross. And the democrats have crossed it. Infanticide. They will abort the living nbaby after it is born! Now remember these are the same people that tell us we are morally terrible if we support the death penalty for serial murderers and child killers. And that a “wall” is morally wrong. My only hope is that these leftwing female journalists are told they have a conflict and they are not allowed to report their favorable view of this infanticide. Sure, thin some out and give the trees 🌲(the crowded ones) some space…50 feet apart for the big ones, but don’t go hog wild. It’s expensive, so let the loggers keep the timber to reduce the expense. Or give it away. Park it out, don’t make it look like Sierra Sahara.
Just knock some brush and foliage down/back and do some follow up clean up and maintance by volunteers and the homeless. Do it yearly.
Anybody want to bet that somewhere on some city properties in the bushes there is a small grow that a “hiker” or two frequents in the summer? Probably behind the jail, lol. Or along some ditch. Hidden up above Pioneer Park? That’s the time for the goats to be set loose and get stoned and wander off like goats do. 🙂 Bummer, dude.
Just don’t go crazy clearimg too much all at once. One may regret it. Privacy concerns. Aesthetics.
Those townhalls are all panic and hair on fire confabs. Look at the last gun debate/ school shooting solutions freakout at the Townhall last year. Panic time, do something!!!! Well, the Margret Stoneman HS little piglet draft report is out and it said to arm some teachers and staff, duh. Need more guns on campus, not less. Dr.Rebane nailed that one. Hanging ‘Gun Free Zone’ signs ain’t a solution.
So, let’s say a big fire breaks out and everybody knows it, sees it, looks at the approaching bellowing smoke in the sky, pulling out the cell phones calling friends and neighbors with deep concerns as the news spreads like firefire. Why do you need the air raid siren on top of city hall? For the blind or some drunk patrons in the bar? To blast your eardrums out?
Just don’t freak out or get carried away and start clear cutting or take the vegation down to the dirt. Leave some above ground alittle bit. Or else, you will regret the eyesore. Want to look at dirt? A slope of mud? What about erosion control? Just knock some stuff down and have gas in your get-a-way car.

Well another uneducated moron of the government schools spews his hate. I suggest you look up the word abort and learn something. How does one “abort” a plane flight? But since you appear to be more ignorant than my pet cat I will give you a small pass. Besides your Virginia democrat Governor as well as the New York Governor after signing his “abortion on demand bill, said it and they are demoncrats.
Your last attempt to put words in my mouth about a bullet in the head of a drug dealer dealing to kids was never said by me but is not a bad idea. Are you a drug dealer? Sounds like you might be.
