On another note, a question for fish: are you a Russian agent? Yes or no.

    Quite clearly no!!
I was identified a few years ago as an agent of global capitalism by my chief nemesis known only by the code name “Sphere” I was dispatched by the Koch Brothers to harass and torment Agent Sphere in his well earned retirement where he was masking his prior life by posing as the publisher of local tourist trade ….ahem…”magazine”.
Whatever I do these days re: my old life as an agent is done strictly as a hobby.

The SacBee had a extensive set of articles pn Natalie Corona today. Brought tears to my eyes. A beautiful young police woman murdered by a pscho[ath. She was 22. Homecoming queen and a fan of “COPS”. What a true waste of a life.
Zimbabwe is bereft with riots and all because of GAS prices. The highest on earth. Global warming is not on their radar apparently. Maybe Frisch and his pals can go educate those people?
Trump’s admin has now finalized the rules for the tax breaks for business. It will be interesting to see how it works. My guess is the businesses keep their money and hire a lot of people.
The police officer that killed the kid in Chicago in 2014 was given a prison sentence. The AP idiots said the “white” officer killed a “black” teenager as if that was the reason. In all the articles on Corona not a mention of “race”. When will the press stop this foolishness?

Fish. Yellow journalism is alive and well. A term our LIBS sure don’t want to see back in the common use. That IS “modern journalism” today.
Foe those who don’t remember “yellow journalism” was/is
“Yellow journalism and the yellow press are American terms for journalism and associated newspapers that present little or no legitimate well-researched news while instead using eye-catching headlines for increased sales. Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism.”
You can add “mainstream” media to that.

It sure looks like the socialist left, you know the frischy set, are the real racist haters –
In recent days, Democratic National Committee and several high-profile progressive advocacy groups have pulled their support in response to Mallory’s defense of anti-semite and racist Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan in an interview with The View on Monday.
“I didn’t call him the greatest of all time because of his rhetoric. I called him the greatest of all time because of what he’s done in black communities,” the embattled organizer replied when asked about her describing Farrakhan as the “GOAT,” an acronym for the “Greatest of all Time.”
In a Friday opinion-editorial, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) announced that she can no longer support the Women’s March on Washington due to its leadership’s refusal to “repudiate anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry.”

    The worm turns –
By using APA’s guidelines, Harvard University creates a set of different standards of behavior/sanctions/treatment for men and women. This is a violation of Title IX.
By using APA’s guidelines, Harvard University has adopted biased training materials which rely upon sex stereotypes. Title IX specifically prohibits such biased training materials.
By using APA’s guidelines, Harvard University creates a hostile environment against men.
By using APA’s guidelines, Harvard University discourages men from seeking counseling services. No reasonable male person would seek counseling at a clinic where his sexual identity is considered to be a form of mental illness (or a driving factor for mental illness). Such dissuasion is prohibited by Title IX.
Harvard University violates Title IX by endorsing an external agency(i.e., APA) which discriminates on the basis of sex in offering services.

Since moi is the only one to pick up on the Gillette commercial, I will venture forth undeterred. What the Gillette commercial inadvertently accomplished was the absolute need for fathers in our society. Men to teach their sons how to treat and respect women and girls. If there was ever an agrument for the patriarchy, the Gillette commercial is exhibit one.
The breakup of the nuclear family in our society is the source of many a societal ill. Where are the Dads to deliver the message characterized in the Gillette commercial?
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=koPmuEyP3a0
I did not find the commercial controversial as some have, in and of itself. With that said, the Toxic Masculinity mantra by some SJWs and the ensuing War on Boys is indeed controversial, as well it should be.

Just another socialist front group –
This new steering committee is made up of “32 women from a wide range of backgrounds…made up of visionary women — cis and trans, straight and queer, disabled and non-disabled, white (not capitalized), Asian, and South Asian, Black, Latina, Arab, Indigenous, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Christian (all capitalized), spanning the ages of 24-70.”
Despite what appears to be an attempt to add “Jewish” to the list of identities the Women’s March now claims to represent, the statement does not address the substantive criticisms that have been made about anti-Semitism.
The first person and photo presented as part of the new steering committee is that of Abby Stein, described as follows:
“A Jewish educator, writer, speaker, and activist. She was born and raised in a Hasidic family of rabbinic descent; she is (among) the 10th generation of (descendants of the ) Baal Shem Tov — founder of Hasidic Judaism…in 2012, she left the Hasidic world to explore different worldviews. In 2015, Abby came out as a woman of trans experience. Since coming out, she has been working to raise support and awareness for trans rights and those leaving Ultra-Orthodoxy.”
Thus, the first member of the steering committee is Jewish, but has left Judaism behind. And, she is trans. (In some circles, there is still controversy around whether being trans constitutes a feminist statement.)

The burdens on society (financially) those who have no real productive value,(yup, it all boils down to dollars and cents) Become chow for the next rung up in the societal food chain.( Gov. welfare food)

Great weekend in Nevada County this weekend with the Wild and scenic Film Festival, now in it’s 17th year, bringing thousands of visitors to our fair County. The streets are filled with intelligent and conscious guests from all over the country. The motels, restaurants and clubs are packed. Hats off to the South Yuba River Citizens League for this spectacular event that does our community proud. I am proud to have been on the first Board of Directors of SYRCL back in 1983 by grassroots activists determined to protect the South Yuba River from dams.

Paul Emery thinks I care about the state of the R party in California. Well I really don’t. I did my gig as the R leader in the 90’s and I had majorities everywhere and that is the last of my efforts. All winners. But if one is truly in the hole it is Paul Emery, his party does not even register on the scale. Green Libertarians? Jeeze what a figgin loser you are Paul Emery. At least my party has some Assembly and Senate seats. You have zip. So get your ass off the couch and get to work to at least get on a ballot.

Green Libertarian is not a political party Todd. It is a philosophy. I am independent. It is an unfortunate reality that we have a two party system that makes it impossible for there to be more. I wish the Republicans could offer at least a reasonable alternative in California but alas they and impotent and virtually extinct. It’s obviously because of Repubs like you that they are in the pits.
Todd, you say you had majorities everywhere in the 90’s. Did you run for office in the 90’s?

The 90’s were great. I whipped you and VanZant in the Weir v Grattan. Had Christine Foster appointed by Wilson. Won numerous city and special districts. I was elected twice to the CC and then elected Chairman. Started CABPRO and kicked your ass many times. I did lose the Assessor race after making the top two. But that winner resigned for corruption after a few months. You supported him.

Pretty sure I missed those. Name some conservative events that bring anywhere near the numbers of people and dollars to Nevada County that SYRCL’s Wild and Scenic film festival does. Okay, name one. How about half of one?
An interesting statistic I learned from a spokesperson from the National Park Service today at the film festival – 85% of National Park users are self described liberals. Why do you people hate nature and seek to destroy it (especially if you can make a buck in the process)? I know even the term Wild and Scenic is anathema to you. I think it boils down to greed. It is sad, really. It must suck to be you.
