That is the problem with the Deep State. Every democracy and parliamentary system under the sun, past, present, and future can fall prey to the Police State. To be charitable, they consider themselves guardians of the Repuubllic.. To be less charitable, they think they know what is best and don’t need no stinkin executive branch or Congress or courts to be accountable to. The Police State answers only to themselves and are never punished for their crimes against the people or State.
When irrefutable evidence of rogue prosecutors or rouge heads of departments come to light, they are rarely punished or suffer consequences. Take the Enron case, the Ted Stevens case, the Merril Lynch executives case. When found out that prosecutors withheld Exculpatory evidence from the defense, witness tampered and threatened witnesses, lied to the Court, filed false documents and “evidence”….well, the few times a incredulous judge sanctioned the prosecutors for such unlawful and illegal behavior, the Federal prosecutors have received the severe penalty of a 1day sanction (one day), and in one flagrant example, a member of the Police State received a 30 sanction, allthewhile receiving his paycheck, keeping his job, and receiving no in-house reprimands or ding on his file. No consequences. It’s what our founders warned us about….to fear our government because governments by their innate nature have an insatiable hunger for more power, more reach, more, more, more…..and more f everything to be brought under their control. Complete control.
Where are the Civil Libertarians today? They have become part of the Swamp? Yes. Where are the vanguards of our democracy, the press? They have become the tools, puppets, mouthpieces, spokespersons, and co-conspirators of the Swamp Creature Police State. Where are they now?

Interesting as to why Rasmussen is consistent in their polling numbers with the RCP average at this time contrasted with their being so far off the average number in the fall election. They missed the mark by around 8% in the fall.

RCP Average of the Congressionals showed the Dems with an 8% edge with the exception of
Rasmussen which gave the Repubs a 1% edge. That’s actually 9%.. Rasmussen has now joined the pack expressing negative Trump job numbers of double digits. RCP Average is 14.5% negative Rasmussen is 12% negative. I’m wondering why Rasmussen is now part of the pack when before they were out on their own path.

A year ago (Feb) Rasmussen Job Approval showed Trump with a +6 Trump favorable. Now with a -12 that amounts to a 16% drop in a year. That’s a pretty significant drop in support from the Poll that is regarded as Trumps most favorable in it’s slant.
