On Thursday, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report stating thousands of text messages exchanged between Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page could not be recovered after Mueller’s team wiped clean the phones it had issued them.

Time to run to your safe spaces and break out the playdough –
A Los Angeles college student who sued his school for allegedly curbing his right to free speech after it prevented him from passing out copies of the U.S. Constitution was vindicated in court this week.
The Los Angeles Community College District agreed on Wednesday to settle a lawsuit filed against them last year by student Kevin Shaw after he was barred from passing out copies of the document because he wasn’t in the school’s designated “free speech zone,” which measured 616 square feet or about the size of three parking spaces.
As a part of the settlement, the tiny area marked for students to exercise their first amendment rights will be abandoned altogether, revoking a district-wide policy that declared all property on the district’s nine campuses to be “non-public forums” with speech restrictions. As part of the settlement, LACCD will pay Shaw’s $225,000 in attorney fees.

Tough day for Don and the antipots:
“Nevada City is the first municipality in Nevada County to allow adult-use cannabis businesses to operate within its city limits, approving an amendment to its cannabis ordinance at a city council meeting Wednesday.
That means Elevation 2477′, which opened as a medical cannabis dispensary in August on Searls Avenue, could potentially be selling to customers without a medical recommendation by the beginning of the new year.”
In today’s Union
Grass Valley will soon follow then the County.

The public does not need to know what is contained in the indictments at this time and to publicly expose such information could jeopardize further indictments. The truth will come out at trial and any comment at this point is speculation. That speculation seems to be mostly based on the notion of whether or not one believes the old adage that ‘where there is smoke there is fire.”

Of all the Identity Politics groups out in intersectionality land, I have observed the tranny babies are the most ruthless, intolerant, and reactive, IMHO. There is something about the group that makes them (and their supporters) the most unyielding and merciless of all the groups, incurring more wrath than the inadvertent racial or homophobic slips/tweets do. Joy Reed was forgiven and Mika was forgiven for referencing butt boy on MSNBC. But, there is something different with transgenders. Like most transgressions (or even objective scientific inquiry into the topic), the punishment rarely fits the crime…………
“Setting aside the specifics of this case—including the rather on-the-nose symbolism of Vlaming trying to prevent a trans student wearing virtual reality goggles from running into a wall—what happened here should alarm every American, not just Christians or conservatives.
If there can be no dissent from transgender ideology, or even compromise with its adherents, then vast swaths of society are eventually going to be targeted by trans activists. It’s not just college professors and high school teachers who are at risk, but anyone who uses social media and dares express an opinion on whether a man can become a woman, or vice versa.
The trend of aggressive trans activism is of course most pronounced in academia, where social justice mobs are becoming more frequent, while reason and objectivity are in precipitous decline. Recently, the notion that biological sex, like gender, is merely a social construct has gained traction on the editorial boards of magazines like Scientific American and prestigious academic journals like Nature, which published an editorial in October arguing against classifying sex “on the basis of anatomy or genetics,” and asserting that, “The idea that science can make definitive conclusions about a person’s sex or gender is fundamentally flawed.”
Thankfully, there are still some academics willing to point out that sex does not exist on a spectrum, that it is in fact so binary in humans as to be among the most statistically verifiable phenomena in nature.

“Is no one on the Left worried even a little bit that one day they might come for them?”
Now that the crack KVMR news team has become best buddies with the 17 intelligence agencies, I don’t see it changing anytime soon. The surveillance society’s goals seem pretty well aligned with the social justice warriors. Perhaps all you are seeing is 30 years of dominance of post-secondary education.
I need to track down someone who currently works in that world rather than is retired. An interesting (to me) angle to this is the potential for hard political splits between military and the 17 intelligence agencies (even the defense-funded ones). Now that the CIA & friends has morphed into another independent branch of government, perhaps the gloves will come off a bit more.
Truth is that any candidate for higher office, especially the older/more wealthy variety, can be run via remote control by the 17. J Edgar Hoover on steroids when you add in modern telecommunications and data processing.
My money is on Paul/Pelline/M/RCross in the long run. Our one hope might be breakthroughs in AI, which might throw all the cards in the air. Tay and her offspring might do some bad things, but at least they won’t be so irritating.

Trump’s Inauguration Paid Trump’s Company — With Ivanka In The Middle
A top inaugural planner emailed Ivanka and others at the company to “express my concern” that the hotel was overcharging for its event spaces, worrying of what would happen “when this is audited.”
As the inaugural committee planned the landmark celebration, internal concerns were raised about whether Trump’s Washington hotel was overcharging for event space. The spending could be a violation of the law.

Scenes @ 3:08 pm. Good post
The 5th Branch Of Government does not care if it’s a Hillary or Mitt or Biden or Jeb or Marco for Prez. They can bring them all under their control, even Obama. But Trump is a true outsider, can’t be bought, and owes them nothing. Not a Washington type.
Alas, I was hoping to see Comey indicted and convicted for Obstruction of Justice. Setting aside Hillary, the e-mails, and all other issues, there are 20 of violations of criminal statues of Federal Law just in how he handled the case to put Comey away. But, its not to be.
For two (almost three) generations since WW2, the neocons loved to poke the Soviet Union with a sharp stick. Obsessed by it. It was the preeminent US foreign policy It was mainly the R’s at first and now over time the neo-cons are mostly the D’s, with a lot of R’s tossed in. All playing ball with our 17 agencies. The Post War Order.
Then along came Trump. First canidate since WW2 to even announce thawing the ice with the former Soviet Union as a canidate. Not buddies, not allies, not friends. Just changing the dynamics. That was a big no-no. Like Chuckie said, you mess with the Dept State and they have six ways to Sunday to get at you.
Imagine the absurdity of Brennan and Clapper, Ashley Carter and Holder, and John Kerry and the entire administrative mob shouting at the top of their lungs in univson, “Treason! Treason!” for Trump merely standing on a stage with Putin doing the photo ops for the world press. You don’t have to imagine such a silly scenario. It happened in Helsinki. Merely being there was too much….too much of a threat to them.
In Argentina last week, we could not even discuss one thing with Russia for fear of the optics and Hillary and gang (Clapper, Comey, Brennan, Yates, Rice) shouting “Treason!” In univson along with all the popinjays. Bad optics to be avoided.
Now, imagine if you will, we have another Cuban Missle Crisis next week. Since the relations between the US and Russia (and the over half century of normal communications and channels between the two countries has been severely choked off because of the generated Russian Hoax) , what are we to do? How can our Prez respond in this climate? How much damage has been done just to maintain the 5th Branch of Government?
Yet, I have hope, but out of space and time. Russia, Russia, Russia!

https://dailycaller.com/2018/12/14/jerry-brown-un-climate-actions/
And how will the self imposed guilt trip be paid for?
“However, the U.N. report Brown refers to estimates $122 trillion would be needed to fund the new green energy infrastructure needed to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius. The report, released in October, also says a carbon tax needed to meet that temperature goal would be as high as $27,000 per ton, or a $240 tax on a gallon of gasoline.”

The 302 also notes that Flynn “did not give any indicators of deception,” and that Strzok and the other agent — whose name was redacted, “both had the impression at the time that Flynn was not lying or did not think he was lying.”
That latter impression directly contradicts the statement of then-FBI Director James Comey. Last Friday, as the Wall Street Journal‘s Kimberley Strassel noted, Comey told a House investigative panel under oath that “the conclusion of the investigators was he was obviously lying.”
Comey also bragged last weekend, during a speech at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan, that he had taken advantage of the disarray of the first few days of the Trump administration to target Flynn, adding that he would not have done the same to George W. Bush or Barack Obama’s administration:
