Because in Mexico when you get caught you don’t go to a comfortable American jail cell they make you dig your own and beat you to death after!
Again….the spurious claim that, “never said we should let anyone and everyone in”, doesn’t really answer why you think any should be let in.

That’e right from Homeland Security Paul, That’s official statement.
But who the hell are you to accept facts? Right? (or should it be called “left” now? Yup, end the use of “right” as another word for “correct”, or “Acknowledgment of fact”. “Left” has it’s feelings hurt for so long….. That’s Emery thinking,,,,Left?)

re PaulE 340pm – The question has a logical glitch. Literally everyone here and across the Atlantic believed that Saddam had WMDs before the invasion – you had to be an idiot not to believe it since he used Sarin on his own people more than once. At that time Bush2 and Rumsfeld and Rebane and a few million others believed it. Bush2 and Rumsfeld had to accede and say that they never found Saddam’s WMD’s (truck convoys to Syria?); they never said Saddam had never had WMDs. So trying to dun Walt for believing it back then puts him (and me) in very good company.
What do you think Saddam did with all his Sarin after he heard we were going to kick his ass and look in all the holes? Do you think that he just conveniently used the last of his Sarin on his own people, and was out of it when we showed up to search? Do you think the Easter Bunny will be a little late next spring?

Teamsters and trade union bailout. Multiemployer pensions are another name for it. So is the Brothernhood of International Workers and Affiliated Mafia.
“The retirement programs are called “multiemployer” pensions, as workers from multiple companies pay into the same retirement benefit program. But many of these pensions lack the financial assets to cover the benefits they have promised retired workers, leading to a panic from retirees who were counting on the funds. These pensions have often been plagued by mismangement, inaccurate economic projections, and in some cases corporate bankruptcies.”
Bail the workers out first, then the state government chair warming slackers.

Here Bobby,, some cooking help for our basement dwelling youg’n.
Ask your Mamma for permission to use the microwave.
Thaw your turkey first – don’t put a frozen turkey in the microwave!
Place the turkey breast side down on a microwave-safe dish or plate
Microwave it 4 minutes per pound on full power (so 36 minutes)
    Remove drippings
Flip it over on its breast and cook at 50 percent power for 8 minutes per pound with 4 intervals, which is about every 18 minutes (checking the turkey temperature at each interval)
Baste and add a browning sauce for a golden brown look
At least you can’t burn the house down.

“President Donald Trump took a dig at George W. Bush during a speech to Republican donors on Saturday, calling the former president’s decision to invade Iraq in 2003 “the single worst decision ever made.” He also scorned the CIA over its flawed information about Iraq dictator Saddam Hussein harboring weapons of mass destruction.”

The Republicans have lost 55 House seats since their peak of 247 in 2015. That means the Dems will almost surely control the House for at least the next two elections. As of today the Dems have picked up 39 seats in this election. Blue wave indeed. Far exceeds any estimate. No party with an incumbent President has ever picked up that many seats in one election Since Harry Truman in 1948.

Rep. Mia Love loses to Democrat in Utah
“A rising Republican star, Love was the first black female Republican ever elected to Congress. She was often viewed a figure who could signal the future of a more diverse GOP, and she was the sole GOP member of the Congressional Black Caucus.
But like many Republicans, Love faced an upcurrent of dissent over President Donald Trump that she was able to overcome in 2016 but was unable to defy two years later. For its largely Republican makeup, Utahans have always been uneasy about Trump and Love’s district was the GOP’s weakest point.”

    Paul Emery wisely quotes:
“For its largely Republican makeup, Utahans have always been uneasy about Trump and Love’s district was the GOP’s weakest point.”
    While I read elsewhere:
“Love was among House Republicans targeted in the hours after the midterms by Trump, who suggested their defeats were at least in part because of their refusal to embrace his presidency.”
“She frequently criticizes Mr. Trump’s rhetoric on immigration.”
“Mia Love: I can’t vote for Trump”
    There are two lessons here.
    1) Anti-Trump Republicans are screwed. They need to get on The Train.
    2) Paul will say any old thing, context be damned. Journalism be damned.
