The Dem scumbags’ last-minute sexual assault case against Judge Kavanaugh has cratered, but having no depth limit to their mores and methods, they are now on a new “temperament” tack, attempting to disqualify him on the basis of “partisan bias” since he had the temerity to defend himself and his family by calling out the scumbags on the Senate judiciary committee.  The lowlifes are setting new and historical records by the day.

Everyone will have to have a Real ID sooner of later, and the DMV is the local issuing agency.  Columnist George Boardman tells us (1oct Union) that he is starting the process of getting one.  Last January I was the first one to apply for my Real ID through our local DMV, and it was strictly a Keystone Cops affair, they had no idea what they were doing and screwed up the whole thing.  It took me six weeks to get my new driver’s license with the Real ID issued, and I had to monitor and prompt their activities the whole way.  It was finally issued by the state’s fraud department in Sacramento that oversees the confirmation of your application, supporting documents, and background check.  For Mr Boardman’s sake, I do hope that the DMV has gotten its act together over the last nine months.

Everyone notice that New York state is trying stay the exodus of their successful producers by quietly proposing new lower tax rates for (gasp!) the rich.  All this after their socialist governor Cuomo explained to his double dummy constituents that the reason people were leaving New York in droves was their sudden discovery of better weather in Florida and Texas.  We have to always remember that according to progressive economics, a jurisdiction’s tax rates do not affect its commercial activity and economic decision making – want more gummint revenues? just raise taxes. (more here)

[2oct18 update]  Amazon raised its minimum wage to $15/hr and is lobbying the feds to make that the law of the land.  NPR and other lamestream outlets are happy dancing in the streets.  None of them realize that this is just clever corporatism that increases labor costs for the small guys still trying to compete with Amazon.  When $15 is the new national minimum, guess what’s going to happen to all the prices.  There is no free lunch, since such arbitrary raises don’t increase productivity, they must inevitably raise prices.  (Later from the 2oct18 WSJ) “Mr. Bezos’s $15 wage would be a lot more praiseworthy if he hadn’t combined it with a plea for government to raise the labor costs of his competitors. Beware when big business conspires with big government.”

Union cartoonist Bob Crabb (he and Jo Ann are also on the newspaper’s editorial board) wrote a column today (2oct18) in which he again declared his mid-road political sentiments and decried California’s ‘jungle primary’ (here).  Mr Crabb would rather have an “instant runoff” that features all candidates wherein the voter is allowed to select first and second choices that can then determine a winner with just one election.  My preference for the instant-runoff is a rating system wherein the voter can allocate different points to each candidate in the complete list of registered candidates.  The points thus given are normalized, and the candidate with the highest total point-count wins.  Among California’s many progressive maladies, our system is so sick that we continue to be forced to vote only for the Democrats’ Tweedledee and Tweedledum – more cleverly Bob nails this November’s choice as between “Tweedelstein and Tweedeleon”.

The senior scumbag from California, Senator Dianne Feinstein, doesn’t want to vote on Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation this week.  Why? because it doesn’t give her enough time “to consider all the facts” from the FBI report.  Not only that, but she doesn’t want the report’s contents made public.  Whoulda thought?  Not only does the Dems’ delay derby continue, but the Feinstein, Schumer, Pelosi, … crowd want to be the only ones to report and interpret what the FBI report says.  Those paying attention already know that the FBI is essentially interviewing those already interviewed, and will in no case draw any conclusions or make any recommendations.  Besides, there will be nothing in the report that will change any preconceived Democrat minds which have calcified on rejecting the nomination from the moment it was announced.

[3oct18 update]  No one says it like Michael Ramirez.

Ramirez_181003

Most Americans are distressingly ignorant about many important things, starting with our country’s governance and government.  And these are the people the Left’s elites toy with as if they were naive children.  A recent national survey (here) by the Woodrow Wilson Institute, no rightwing outfit by any measure, found that only one in three Americans can pass the citizenship test.  To our local leftwing loonies, pointing out such a travesty instantly identifies you as a radical rightwinger, racist, multi-phobic, and on and on.  From this group of the less than lightly read the Left hopes to cobble together the majorities that would allow it to reclaim the House and perhaps the Senate.   For these people will believe most anything, including that the Cold War was caused by climate change.  (H/T to reader)

    Tick tock –
Don Stewart, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, said that a floor vote on Kavanaugh would not take place on Monday even if the FBI investigation concludes Monday morning because the Senate’s rules for invoking cloture require several days’ delay. “If the [FBI’s] report comes in today,” Stewart said, “Leader [McConnell] could file cloture, setting up a Wednesday cloture vote, and Thursday confirmation.”
The deal brokered by Flake called for a cloture vote no later than this Friday. But word that the FBI could finish the review by Monday morning — and the Sunday night dissemination of a memo by the Arizona prosecutor who questioned Ford during last week’s hearing — stoked fears among Democrats that a rushed confirmation vote could follow close behind.
The New York Times reported Sunday evening that the FBI’s “‘limited’ supplemental background check of Judge Kavanaugh could be finished by Monday morning.”

Here is Ms. Mitchell’s assessment of he Ms. Ford testimony last week. Of course the democrat will now slime this prosecutor whose life’s work has been to jail abusers.
“In the legal context, here is my bottom line: A “he said, she said” case is incredibly difficult to prove. But this case is even weaker than that. Dr. Ford identified other witnesses to the event, and those witnesses either refuted her allegations or failed to corroborate them. For the reasons discussed below, I do not think that a reasonable prosecutor would bring this case based on the evidence before the Committee. Nor do I believe that this evidence is sufficient to satisfy the preponderance-of-the-evidence standard.”
    We know the truth.

Number 1 on the memo. was enough for me. I stopped there. Late teens in the mid eighties in high school would put Brett 300 miles away at Yale, being two years her senior and all. Then maybe ‘ 81, which would make her 14 to ‘83 to zeroing it in to summer, 1982, six week window. I would like to hear how her memory was jogged to pinpoint it all after she wrote the letter and gave WaPo the breaking news interview.
She can’t even prove a high school house party ever took place. Not one human. Not even high school gossip and girl talk. Moving on.
Think somebody already posted this and I didn’t bother to read it. Short and sweet.

Diamonds and Silk are making a movie. Problem is they are broke since the Tech Tianas of social media declared them a threat to the community. Dangerous to the public.
Anyway, they are asking for cash. GoFund Me sites are the new campaign contribution bagmen.
Oppps, topic. Hmmm. Ok. We are being carpet bombed, but what else is new? Really smoked them out this time. 🙂
Worth repeating. They have come out from behind the curtains and swinging wildly at the air in broad daylight and they don’t care. No even hiding it. Sloppy as Dr. Susan Rice’s CYA e-mail.
This is Gettysburg. Started off relatively small and mushroomed into full out war. Sure, this is also the Gong Show. This is their Jerry Springer show….and they do not care. Not even a touch of modesty. Oh, they may care, but not that much, not really.
Amazing, it’s always the same puppeteers everytime. Think they are showing signs of panic. We will know how effective the smear campaign is come Nov 6.

Dr. R’s experience obtaining his Real ID driver’s license reminds me of the old Silicon Valley saying that you can always identify the pioneers because they’re the guys with arrows in their backs.
I was in and out of the Auburn DMV office this morning in less than 40 minutes. Everything proceeded like a well organized assembly line. Lines were short and there was plenty of parking outside.
On an entirely unrelated subject, I consider it progress that the conversation here has progressed from sex with animals to the Folsom Street Fair.

No proof will ever be enough.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—As accusers against Brett Kavanaugh continue to come forward and his nomination vote looms near, the embroiled judge has produced what some are calling a “smoking gun” in order to confirm he was a virgin when alleged sexual misconduct took place: official Star Wars bed sheets he used throughout high school and into college.
Kavanaugh held up the sheets, carefully preserved in his childhood home for many years, and continued to declare his innocence.
“I was sleeping on an X-Wing for crying out loud,” an exasperated Kavanaugh said in a Fox News interview as his wife nodded solemnly. “I clearly wasn’t one of ‘those kids’ who were partying every weekend.”

Da Nang Blumenthal has a nice ring to it –
Trump calls Kavanaugh a “great man” and a “great student.” Trump mocks Blumenthal as a great Vietnman war hero who never went to Vietnam. Mocks him as “Da Nang Blumenthal.” He also says Cory Booker destroyed Newark and asks the crowd to take a look at some of things Booker wrote about women (referring to his admission that he groped a girl in high school).

The water is washing away the sand castle of lies –
Swetnick did not confirm that she saw Kavanaugh spike punch, but simply said she “saw him around the punch containers.”
“I don’t know what he did,” she told NBC.
She also appeared to backtrack on her suggestion that Kavanaugh was involved in gang rapes, saying she only saw him congregated with other boys outside of rooms. When Snow asked if she thought the boys were gathered in order to rape girls in the rooms, Swetnick replied “yes.”

Good luck with that when the independents support Judge K by a 33% margin –
A Public Opinion Strategies poll published last Friday shows a majority of West Virginia voters supporting Kavanaugh’s confirmation. The Judicial Crisis Network, which commissioned the poll, released its breakdown:
Overall, West Virginia voters want Brett Kavanaugh confirmed with a margin of 58% – 28%
This includes the majority of independent voters with a margin of 59% – 26%
This includes the majority of women voters with a margin of 52% – 35%

Dr. Rebane – I heard a women on the Limbaugh radio program this morning mention what was a perfect theory on Fords so called believable testimony which was clearly rehearsed. The woman stated that she used her natural nervousness knowing she was giving false testimony to make it appear she was being honest. Her tears and her high voice was really was all an act but a good actress uses that for effect. I would like to hear your opinion on this.

JillS 849pm – At this stage of the ‘game’ all things are possible as the stakes on both sides get higher. I didn’t hear Limbaugh’s program, but as the days pass, it becomes more plausible that the whole Ford thing was a well-rehearsed set up. It all fell apart when Judge Kavanaugh, instead of folding up, came back with a strong defense and counter charged the Democrats in front of the whole country. They did not expect that, and now they’re desperately trying to cobble together a Plan B.

When you’ve convinced yourself that Trump is Hitler and that traditional America is the SS, anything is allowed as a countermeasure. Policy doesn’t work as an argument source, so character assassination is what is left.
To me, the more interesting question is how they got there. It’s as if a few million people scared each other telling stories around the campfire.

Good fine, Scenes. One of many that shows her story and life’s story is unraveling. Dr. Ford could do us all a favor by throwing us a bone so we can believe..or at a minimum verify her testimony. As of to date, we cannot even prove there was a house party or party or even a house related to us in Dr. Ford’s testimony, nor even the township the assualt took place. Dr. Ford’s life long best friend says she (the witness) has never met Brett Kavanaugh. Throw us a bone! Please! Even some hearsay. Anything.
What is worse than assualt? Rape. What is worse than rape? Gang rape. What is worse than gang rape? Throwing a glass of ice across the bar at Yale in 1985!

I was hoping that Don Willett on the 5th circuit would get the nod this based on a recommendation from “Tim the Lawyer” (Timothy Sandefur – https://goldwaterinstitute.org/team/timothy-sandefur/) as regularly heard on the Armstrong & Getty show.
But now I hope Kavanaugh is crammed right up the democrats ass for the next 40 years based on your not unexpected douchebaggery alone!

The truth will set you free –
Charges against four California dentists — including three brothers — accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman at a Las Vegas Strip resort were dropped after cellphone video showed the allegations were “completely fabricated,” one of the men’s attorney said.
Prosecutors dropped the charges against Poria Edalat, 30, Saman Edalat, 39, Sina Edalat, 34, and Ali Badkoobehi, 30, after the defendants presented the video to the district attorney’s office, KVVU-TV reported.
An unnamed woman told security at the Wynn Las Vegas resort she was sexually assaulted in a suite while intoxicated.
Lawyers for the four dentists maintained all along the allegations were false. They predicted in August the case would be dropped once prosecutors reviewed the video evidence.
