The Dem scumbags’ last-minute sexual assault case against Judge Kavanaugh has cratered, but having no depth limit to their mores and methods, they are now on a new “temperament” tack, attempting to disqualify him on the basis of “partisan bias” since he had the temerity to defend himself and his family by calling out the scumbags on the Senate judiciary committee.  The lowlifes are setting new and historical records by the day.

Everyone will have to have a Real ID sooner of later, and the DMV is the local issuing agency.  Columnist George Boardman tells us (1oct Union) that he is starting the process of getting one.  Last January I was the first one to apply for my Real ID through our local DMV, and it was strictly a Keystone Cops affair, they had no idea what they were doing and screwed up the whole thing.  It took me six weeks to get my new driver’s license with the Real ID issued, and I had to monitor and prompt their activities the whole way.  It was finally issued by the state’s fraud department in Sacramento that oversees the confirmation of your application, supporting documents, and background check.  For Mr Boardman’s sake, I do hope that the DMV has gotten its act together over the last nine months.

Everyone notice that New York state is trying stay the exodus of their successful producers by quietly proposing new lower tax rates for (gasp!) the rich.  All this after their socialist governor Cuomo explained to his double dummy constituents that the reason people were leaving New York in droves was their sudden discovery of better weather in Florida and Texas.  We have to always remember that according to progressive economics, a jurisdiction’s tax rates do not affect its commercial activity and economic decision making – want more gummint revenues? just raise taxes. (more here)

[2oct18 update]  Amazon raised its minimum wage to $15/hr and is lobbying the feds to make that the law of the land.  NPR and other lamestream outlets are happy dancing in the streets.  None of them realize that this is just clever corporatism that increases labor costs for the small guys still trying to compete with Amazon.  When $15 is the new national minimum, guess what’s going to happen to all the prices.  There is no free lunch, since such arbitrary raises don’t increase productivity, they must inevitably raise prices.  (Later from the 2oct18 WSJ) “Mr. Bezos’s $15 wage would be a lot more praiseworthy if he hadn’t combined it with a plea for government to raise the labor costs of his competitors. Beware when big business conspires with big government.”

Union cartoonist Bob Crabb (he and Jo Ann are also on the newspaper’s editorial board) wrote a column today (2oct18) in which he again declared his mid-road political sentiments and decried California’s ‘jungle primary’ (here).  Mr Crabb would rather have an “instant runoff” that features all candidates wherein the voter is allowed to select first and second choices that can then determine a winner with just one election.  My preference for the instant-runoff is a rating system wherein the voter can allocate different points to each candidate in the complete list of registered candidates.  The points thus given are normalized, and the candidate with the highest total point-count wins.  Among California’s many progressive maladies, our system is so sick that we continue to be forced to vote only for the Democrats’ Tweedledee and Tweedledum – more cleverly Bob nails this November’s choice as between “Tweedelstein and Tweedeleon”.

The senior scumbag from California, Senator Dianne Feinstein, doesn’t want to vote on Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation this week.  Why? because it doesn’t give her enough time “to consider all the facts” from the FBI report.  Not only that, but she doesn’t want the report’s contents made public.  Whoulda thought?  Not only does the Dems’ delay derby continue, but the Feinstein, Schumer, Pelosi, … crowd want to be the only ones to report and interpret what the FBI report says.  Those paying attention already know that the FBI is essentially interviewing those already interviewed, and will in no case draw any conclusions or make any recommendations.  Besides, there will be nothing in the report that will change any preconceived Democrat minds which have calcified on rejecting the nomination from the moment it was announced.

[3oct18 update]  No one says it like Michael Ramirez.

Ramirez_181003

Most Americans are distressingly ignorant about many important things, starting with our country’s governance and government.  And these are the people the Left’s elites toy with as if they were naive children.  A recent national survey (here) by the Woodrow Wilson Institute, no rightwing outfit by any measure, found that only one in three Americans can pass the citizenship test.  To our local leftwing loonies, pointing out such a travesty instantly identifies you as a radical rightwinger, racist, multi-phobic, and on and on.  From this group of the less than lightly read the Left hopes to cobble together the majorities that would allow it to reclaim the House and perhaps the Senate.   For these people will believe most anything, including that the Cold War was caused by climate change.  (H/T to reader)

We have gone from serial gang rapist to “thrower of ice” in 72 hours. Nice to see some backbone out there. Flake will vote no. He wants them to love him too much. The media, the attention….that is why he will vote no. He’s young and soon to be out of a job. He needs to be loved.

Di-fi is indeed a scumbag and that Hawaiian Senator Mazie has to be the dumbest person in the US Senate, hands down. Today she said they have “been calling on a FBI investigation for months.” Excuse me, months? It only feels like it. I will vote for DeLeon, the artist formerly known as Leon.

The FBI investigation appears to be done and Fords team Clinton, pink pussy hat wearing, scum bags are howling that the FBI did not do another interview with Ford Why would they when they have the sworn statement and tons of video?
Perhaps this had something to do with it –
In a letter released Tuesday and obtained by Fox News, an ex-boyfriend of Christine Blasey Ford, the California professor accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, seemingly contradicts her testimony under oath last week that she had never helped anyone prepare for a polygraph examination.
The former boyfriend, whose name was redacted, also said Ford neither mentioned Kavanaugh nor said she was a victim of sexual misconduct during the time they were dating from about 1992 to 1998. He said he saw Ford helping a woman he believed was her “life-long best friend” prepare for a potential polygraph test. He added that the woman had been interviewing for jobs with the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s office.
He also claimed Ford never voiced any fear of flying (even while aboard a propeller plane) and seemingly had no problem living in a small, 500 sq. ft. apartment with one door — apparently contradicting her claims that she could not testify promptly in D.C. because she felt uncomfortable travelling on planes, as well as her suggestion that her memories of Kavanuagh’s alleged assault prompted her to feel unsafe living in a closed space or one without a second front door.
Ford “never expressed a fear of closed quarters, tight spaces, or places with only one exit,” the former boyfriend wrote. On Thursday, Ford testified, “I was hoping to avoid getting on an airplane. But I eventually was able to get up the gumption with the help of some friends and get on the plane.” She also acknowledged regularly — and, in her words, “unfortunately” — travelling on planes for work and hobbies.

Yep, and her grandpappy on the ground floor in the formation of the CIA is something that might have helped her land some work down the line. Plato Alto U is a parking lot warehouse, basically. There are other businesses in there. But, it’s that Standford gig that pricks my interest. Teaching interns who want to work for the CIA. That is ok, in and of itself.
The students/interns have to go through a polygraph to get hired by the Company. Sure, the press says FBI and State or something. But when administrating the test, the interns must also fail at the start to get a baseline. Dr. Ford teaches them how to take a polygraph and how pass a polygraph Machine.
Odd, not a peep from her parents. Even OJ Simpson’s mom came out and declared her boy’s innocence and good character. Heck, she was playing Onward Christian Soldiers on the piano as the repo guys were pushing the piano and her right out of the door and to the truck. That’s what Mom’s and Dad’s do….normally. Hmmm.
She already put her therapist”s notes out there in the public realm via the Wa Compost. She has lost any right to hide behind privacy. We can get the notes, all the therapists notes….all of them …..but not necessary. Ain’t needed. We play nice. :). On to perjury! Look harder! Temperament!
Boy, the Dems sure have riled up the base with this one. The conservative moms and true rape victims and fair minded folks are starting to simmer…and simmer…and simmer.. The Left was already energized, but now we are pissed and energized. They pushed too close to knocking over our Constitutional process. Closest thing I have seen to a dismantling of our system in my lifetime. Way too close.
See Rasmussen daily average today? With all this bull pucky going on, Trump @ 48. And he is on the road, working his rallies, and calling Dems all sorts of unflattering names. Thank you Mr. Trump.

Yesterday on at least a dozen groups conservative, liberal, and progressive alike I put forward this one question. Not one person either for or against Judge Kavanaugh confirmation could name a single case or decision he has made.
“I would like to know by issues and by decisions as a judge, why a person would like Brett Kavanaugh to be appointed a lifetime position to the US Supreme Court?”
The Democrats and Republicans have successfully done it again, choreographed a side show that doesn’t contain any real content to whether this person is qualified to be a Supreme Court Justice.
Women, you are being exploited once again by powerful institutions and people.
A $3 trillion dollar tax cut was passed in the last week, how many knew this happened?
Here is a report on Judge Kavanaugh’s history of judicial decisions and ideology.

You would generally need to be an avid follower of the circuit court on which a judge sits to know this Ben. Attorneys, reporters, etc would probably know one or two and they would need to be important cases.
You could probably pose that same question in regards to Ginsburg, Sotomayor, and Kagan and draw nothing but blank stares.

I asked her if this was just a fantasy of hers. She responded that she first tried sex with multiple guys while in high school and still liked it from time-to-time. She brought it up because she wanted to know if I would be interested in that.”

Last week I said in all sincerity that something horrid happened to Dr. Ford sometime in her life. She appeared not to have emotionally developed beyond that of a normal 14 year old girl. I have seen many that did not emotionally development after they picked up a drug or drinking habit in their teens. Not saying Dr. Ford ever was a drug addict or alcoholic, but someone with a PhD speaking with a nervous laugh as a younger girl and testifying with such phrases as “me and my husband” raised a flag. It reminded me a lot of when the girls and their friends were 13-14 years old and taking them on an outing.
The other problem I have is Dr. Ford mentioned FOUR times in testimony for the FBI (or others) to check out Safeway’s employment records of a named witness to verify the timeframe. That tells me that she does not know exactly the year the assualt happened, but she remembers the one and only guy to verify her account of what happened in that bedroom who, worked at Safeway six weeks later. She entered Safeway through a different entrance than her mother, so no witnesses (mom) to her conversing with the Safeway employee, Brett’s high school buddy.
This week I am not so sure if anything horrid happened to Dr. Ford. The only victim here appears to be Justice Kavanaugh. The only survivor here appears to be Judge Kavanaugh. Time will tell….

That is right Todd and Fish and yet nothing. Over 300 cases, decisions, court opinions, etc… all have been written but nobody talks about it.
That tells me the leadership of both parties are in agreement, this man will be approved since their owners have told them so. This side show is purely for campaigning purposes and riling up the bases of each gang, red vs blue or bloods vs crips. It really doesn’t get any deeper than this for about 40% of the electorate. My team vs your team, period.
Those who dictate and make the biggest difference in elections are those who do not vote since they do not have a choice that represents their interests or values. Both major parties are corrupt and morally bankrupt and everyone knows it. Unfortunately they have put so many obstacles in the way it is impossible to challenge them on any real level in partisan politics.
Everything about Kavanaugh’s testimonies, legal record of shredding the US Constitution during the Cheney/ Bush era, and his court decisions and opinions shows this man to be a predator who loves authority and feels entitled or superior to others.
    Pretty sad state of affairs.

    Excerpt
Today begins the Senate hearings on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. At Mises University this year, during a talk on how the courts disregard natural law in America, Judge Andrew Napolitano looked at some troubling moments in Judge Kavanaugh’s legal career.
Here is a clip from that lecture:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=9&v=lD7qzH4ob3Y
In a discussion on natural law, Napolitano noted that Judge Kavanaugh had established a record of supporting government surveillance on Americans, even when there was not probable cause to believe a crime was being committed.
Kavanaugh’s support for abuse of government power in this case, has been buttressed by the Patriot Act, one of the most anti-Fourth-Amendment pieces of legislation passed in recent decades.
Napolitano goes on to outline the many ways the Patriot Act violates the natural rights behind the Fourth Amendment, concluding:
“What young lawyer was the scrivener when they were putting together the Patriot Act?”
It was, of course, Brett Kavanaugh.

Sounds like your “nobody to vote for” agrument just does not hold water. I figured that a vote for Jill Stein was a vote for Putin since she was dining with Putin and held her debates on RT…aka, Russian Telvision. Hmmm. A vote for Jill Stein was a vote for the French Green Party. Anyway, you had choices and you most enthusiasticly supported both the guy with three houses who honeymooned in the USSR and the Gal who dined with Putin. Don’t see why you are griping. He ignored these rights for victims in secret prisons all over the world, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib in Iraq.
Kavanaugh argue the authority of the Obama administration to hold/ detain prisoners with authority from congress in Al-Bihani v. Obama.

    Fish,
The thing about it the Democratic Party is just as guilty of violating the Constitution as the Republican Party. Also the Democratic Party is just as much in cahoots with industry/ multinational corporations as the Republican Party. That makes Kavanaugh a very nice pick for both parties.
What they have done is take the MeToo! and are using it as a tool to get women to register and work for the D party. Just like the R party does with guns. Neither party has any intention of changing anything in a significant way. Those who write the big checks might have different names but come from the same economic class whose wealth and security depends on the status quo.

The lowlifes are setting new and historical records by the day.
Next up: The lying sacks of shit will say Kavanaugh needs to step aside for the good of the country and the national healing can begin. Righttttt. Healing? The Leftinistas don’t want healing of the nation’s divide. Who are they kidding? To a Leftist, bi-partisanship means their way or the highway. Compromise means falling in step with them, lol.
Susan Collins and others are leaning towards this line of bull. The Leftinistas say they are seeking the truth. When have they ever ever sought the truth? When? Where?
Here’s an example of the Dems never seeking the truth or caring for the truth: Keith Ellison’s accuser is an “accuser”, not a survivor. Then assaults took place in 2016, not nearly 40 years ago. Ell She has a witness to the whole affair. We have dates and timestamps. She has tweets with the perp. She went to seek medical attention immediately, not 30 years later. The medical records have been released. To show a pattern, in 2006 another female “accuser” threatened to file a restraining order against Ellison.
Bottomline: 5% of Democrats believe her, the accuser. Guess she is not a survivor nor a victim, lol. Yes folks, that’s 5%. A whopping 5%.. Nuff said.

Her inability to remember this detail raises significant questions. … Given that this all took place before cell phones, arranging a ride home would not have been easy.” Furthermore, Mitchell notes, Ford “testified that her friend Leland, apparently the only other girl at the party, did not follow up with Dr. Ford after the party to ask why she had suddenly disappeared.” This seems highly unlikely.
    Present:
Mitchell also shows that “Dr. Ford struggled to remember her interactions” with The Post, which wrote that she provided “portions” of her therapist’s notes to a reporter. But in her testimony, Ford could not recall if she showed The Post full or partial therapist notes or her own summary of those notes.
She could not remember whether she took a polygraph the day of her grandmother’s funeral or the day after. She was unsure whether she was videotaped or recorded during the polygraph. She did not explain how she knew to call the receptionist at her congresswoman’s office but could not figure out how to contact her senator, Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

No matter how sympathetic a witness Dr. Ford is, I have moved from believing something happened in her past to mess her up big time to thinking she is a disturbed woman who may be delusional, to now thinking now she may be disillusion to a manipulative liar. The liar story is making more sense with evidence presented. Ok, I said it. Moving on.

Audret Denney says she has raised $900,000 bucks and not one dime from anyone but individuals. I checked the FEC and it has no such update. It says she has raised $320,000 or so. If she has raised that amount then more power to her. But there are 45,000 more R’s to overcome and they are energized to vote. LaMalfa 57-43

    Fish,
One of my go to people with Constitution opinion is Jonathan Turley.
    Excerpt
Jonathan Turley, law professor, George Washington University
There’s no doubt Kavanaugh has a more robust view of executive power than Justice [Anthony] Kennedy. His natural default position is likely to Article II of the Constitution. He has expressed empathy for presidents facing investigations during their term of office.
My greater concern is not the Minnesota Law Review article, but his short concurrence to the Klayman case. Klayman was a case where the DC Circuit ruled against a challenge to the metadata collection program of the NSA. Kavanaugh went out of his way to file a concurrence in which he said that even if that collection program was a search under the Constitution, he believed it could be done without a warrant because it fell within an exception — and that exception is that the president had ordered the program to combat terrorism. That is an argument that could have sweeping potential….

Related: Cosko Is Not An Unpaid Intern.
In the mainstream media, Cosko is being portrayed as a hapless overzealous intern who didn’t even have the smarts to cover up his criminal act. His former boss— Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Texas) has denied she knew anything about Cosko’s activities. . . .
Yet, Jackson-Lee still has some explaining to do. While she claims Cosko was an “unpaid intern” in her office, the Washington Post reports that Cosko was actually a “fellow.” This was confirmed by Cosko’s lawyer, who said his client was a “fellow” in Jackson-Lee’s office and that he was being paid by an “outside institution.”
What “outside institution” paid for Cosko’s fellowship? Did that entity know about his illegal activities? What other fellowships does this “outside organization” pay for? What other House or Senate offices are hosting fellows paid by this organization?
“Intern” and “fellow” are not interchangeable because they aren’t even close to being the same thing. While internships are reserved for inexperienced college students, fellowships are usually serious policy positions and are typically filled by professionals working within other federal agencies or the private sector who are brought to a congressional office for a short stint to help a member of Congress better understand the agency or business for which that member has oversight responsibilities.
I’d like to know who was paying him, and I’d hope to see that entity questioned by the press about his behavior.
