   And no FBI investigation into the Kavanaugh allegations until the Mueller investigation is over.
   It’s almost as if… it’s just Moore’s recipe for maximum delay.

   Yes, the Kavanaugh circus is about the left’s anger that ANY justice that rejects the social justice warrior Living Constitution fans on the Progressive Left. The SCOTUS has been where the Progressives (in name only) have won most of their battles and the prospect of the SCOTUS to actually pay attention to the words in the Constitution and their meaning to average people for decades to come.
   No, the Senate has no requirement to do anything about any SCOTUS nominee. Just that a nominee to the court cannot take a seat without the advise and consent of the Senate. That was true during the time of his Accidency, John Tyler; it was true during Obama’s reign and its true with Trump.
   I tried to tell the right wing fanatics here at RR that McConnell was doing a great job with a lousy hand dealt… a bare majority in the Senate and a hostile President does not make it easy, especially with a fanatic press a’gin him.

    In the “we need a hard body count before it’s true” dept., an ESTIMATED 5,500 pigs and 3.4 million chickens and turkeys have died as a result of hurricane Florence. Most of them are presumed to have drowned while trapped in enclosures on large factory farms. It apparently is too expensive and too massive of an undertaking to move that large a number of animals to safety. Then there is the issue of the 36 giant hog poop lagoons that are overflowing or currently filling with storm water and another 36 that are expected to overflow in the next few days. The resulting algae blooms from all of the nitrogen in the receding waters will pretty much snuff most of the marine life causing millions of dead fish to wash ashore. Coastal property values just went into the toilet, so to speak.

    This just in from the “People have a right to know” dept.: so-called Dark Money groups (who have already spent $65M on the November elections) like the US Chamber of Commerce and Americans for Prosperity will now have to make public all donors above $200 and the amounts donated if the group spends more than $250 advocating either for or against any candidate for a federal office. Since most of them have already spent millions, spending one more dollar before the election will trigger the disclosures. The SCOTUS refused to hear the case upholding a lower court decision.

    Brother Todd, no need to say a word about Dr. Ford. The orginal release from her Soros funded lawyers is that her client “believes” something happened. The lawyer believes that Dr. Ford believes something happened. Heck, let’s give the psychology professor (irony alert) the benefit of the doubt and say she believes something happened.
    No need to trash her as that is the trap being laid before us by those that have lost their ever lovin’ minds. This is so much bigger than Dr. Ford and here is too much to comment on concerning the process.
    Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona did not even try to run for re-election, something that he really wanted to do. He had presidential aspirations. He loved being Senator, but when his pre-primary numbers showed him at 11-13%, he became a very bitter Trump hater with a huge case of TDS. Having the people of Arizona reject him has enraged the poor soul. There is nothing more that Flake would rather do than drive a big knife right through Trump. Yet, Flake has called for the hearings to continue as scheduled and tough titty if Dr. Ford refuses to testify.
    Bob Crocker, another Trump hater that is a lame duck bitter Senator since the Deplorable Dregs primaried him has also come out and said no to delaying the vote.
    This is because all realize that if at one minute to midnight a wild salacious pre-planned accusation can be dropped after all testimony is heard and stop the whole process dead in its tracks with 100% uncollaborated charges without a chance to question the witness. We are lectured that we must believe the witness or else we are old white male chauvinist pig wife beaters…..well, if that has become the standard of the US Senate, then we truly don’t live in America anymore. That is the fight. This is a hill worth defending. This precedent cannot be allowed to happen without due process for both the accused and the accuser. No ifs, ands, or butts about it.
    It’s not about Dr. Ford, never was. It’s about a party out of power whose only issue in life is sucking the brains out of the unborn. And, of course, getting that power back to exact revenge on all who did not toe the line when they were out of power.
    It’s also all about stall, delay, stall, and delay. They are hoping to retake the Senate and want to delay any Trump nominee til after the mid-terms. If they don’t take back the Senate after the mid-terms, they will stall and delay until the 2020 Elections. If they fail to take back the Senate and the White House in 2020, they will delay and stall until…..
    There is plenty to hold up to the light without disparaging Dr. Ford. Afterall, she did seek medical attention after the incident she believes that happened…..30 years later and the medical attention was her therapist. She did tell people after the dirty drunken teen orgy…not her Mom or Dad, not any classmates, not and friends or neighbors….but 30 years later she did tell her shrink, without mentioning names. See, no need to trash her. That’s not who we are. It’s who they are…. 🙂
