[On 11 September 2001 radical Islam carried out its most devastating attack on those they identify as infidels and kafirs, their name for the rest of us on this globe. On this day of remembrance it is incumbent on us in the west to reflect on the state of Islam, and especially its quiet ongoing conquest of Europe, whose belated recognition of and opposition to what's happening is deemed racist by the Left. Lest we forget, Europe is just the warm-up, with the battle cry 'Death to America!', an Islamic America is their main objective. gjr]

Paul Manafort’s plea deal includes a cooperation agreement with Robert Mueller:
Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has entered into a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller’s office — and it includes an agreement to cooperate.
As reported by CNN’s Evan Perez, prosecutor Andrew Weissmann told the court on Friday that Manafort’s plea deal hinges on him completing a cooperation agreement with the special counsel.

Is this the last day of Earth? Did a wormhole open up and drop this alien reporting from another dimension? Get your glasses on. AP finally has come clean. Don’t expect the same from our Popinjay in a thousand years, but AP decided to tell the truth. I never thought I would see such a thing in our lifetimes. What’s going on here??????
“OBAMA: “It shouldn’t be Democratic or Republican to say that we don’t threaten the freedom of the press because they say things or publish stories we don’t like. I complained plenty about Fox News, but you never heard me threaten to shut them down or call them enemies of the people.” — rally Friday at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
THE FACTS: Trump may use extraordinary rhetoric to undermine trust in the press, but Obama arguably went farther — using extraordinary actions to block the flow of information to the public.
The Obama administration used the 1917 Espionage Act with unprecedented vigor, prosecuting more people under that law for leaking sensitive information to the public than all previous administrations combined. Obama’s Justice Department dug into confidential communications between news organizations and their sources as part of that effort.
In 2013 the Obama administration obtained the records of 20 Associated Press office phone lines and reporters’ home and cell phones, seizing them without notice, as part of an investigation into the disclosure of information about a foiled al-Qaida terrorist plot.
AP was not the target of the investigation. But it called the seizure a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into its news-gathering activities, betraying information about its operations “that the government has no conceivable right to know.”

BAD BAD BAD day for Trump. Cohen is flipping as well.
Michael Cohen in talks to ‘flip’ and turn state’s evidence against Donald Trump: report:
Special counsel Robert Mueller is close to getting another long-time Donald Trump confidante to cooperate with federal investigators. On Friday, former Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort “flipped” and agreed to cooperate with the special counsel investigations into Russian election interference and obstruction of justice.
Also on Friday, Vanity Fair magazine’s Emily Jane Fox reported that former Trump Organization executive and “fixer” Michael Cohen is in talks to “flip” and cooperate.
“In recent weeks, it has also become common knowledge among close friends of Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, that Cohen is talking to the Mueller team, according to people familiar with the situation,” she reported.
“The extent and purpose of those talks is not entirely clear. Last month, Cohen pleaded guilty to eight counts of tax evasion, lying to a bank, and campaign-finance violations,” she explained. “During his allocution in front of a packed courtroom, Cohen read carefully chosen words stating that Trump had directed him to make payments to two women who had alleged affairs with the then-candidate, implicating the president as his co-conspirator.”
The “remarkable reversal” has occurred because, “Cohen has now been squeezed financially, emotionally, and legally in a way he could not have imagined.”

“Podesta, Manafort and Mercury Public Affairs all failed to register as foreign agents of Ukraine for the work.
Manafort entered a plea agreement with the special counsel Friday.
Two lobbying firms, including one owned by Democratic superlobbyist Tony Podesta, knowingly worked with Paul Manafort at the direction of the Ukrainian government, according to an indictment released Friday by the special counsel’s office.
The indictment, which was released ahead of an expected plea deal for Manafort, the former chairman of President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, says that as a part of his “lobbying scheme,” Manafort solicited two lobbying firms in February 2012 to lobby on behalf of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.”

Conservative commentator Tammy Bruce took issue with former President Obama taking credit for the burgeoning economy over the several months.
“We worked hard to turn this economy around. The actions that we took during the economic crisis” added to the economic growth, Obama said at a rally for Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray.
Bruce said Obama is speaking out and patting himself on the back because “he’s worried about his own legacy… about how he’s viewed.”
“Trump ran on doing the opposite of what Obama is doing,” she said. “Trump has done the reverse of everything he’s done.”
She said that therefore, the economic boom cannot be the product of the Obama administration’s policies.
Bruce pointed to Obama’s 2016 remark that President Donald Trump would need “a magic wand” to bring manufacturing jobs back.
“Conceptually, Barack Obama did not understand how that would work,” she said, crediting his “lack of experience in business” for his understanding of Trump’s platform.

1) 6:02 pm. Pride is a prison….
2) Behind the scenes as the media is focus on Trump causing hurricanes and Manafort, there is a lot of diggin going on. Deep digging and no place to hide. The Reckoning is Coming. Everyone involved in the FISA warrant is going down. That is a no brainer. 8-10 high level FBI and some DOJ officials took it upon themselves to derail the Trump candiancy. Then, when that failed, they abused their power to stop a Trump Presidency.
Rumor mill: Trump to release the Carter Page FISA warrant early next week, maybe Monday unless someone talks him out of it. Fireworks next week if that happens. Expect media to change narrative from Russian Collusion to campaign finance law violations with the Trump Inauguration Party or some lame diversion like that.
3) you know, Brain Hamilton’s column along with how the Demos behaved at the hearings, and now this Di-Wi letter is working all in our favor. I am reading too much “buyers remorse” from old school Dems about where the out of their mind Squeaky wheels screaming for grease have taken them. Add blaming hurricanes on Trump just confirms how sick, how twisted, how abosolutely stark raving mad their holy sacred cows like the media, academia, and leaders have become. Mercy.

A .22, must just be a publicity stunt, but the charges are funny –
Sociology professor Mark J. Bird, 69, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound outside a bathroom at the College of Southern Nevada, where he has taught since 1993. He was charged with discharging a gun within a prohibited structure, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property, according to the Review-Journal.
A student saw a wounded Bird stumble out of the bathroom after 8 a.m. on Aug. 28, before collapsing, according to a police report obtained by the Review-Journal. As witnesses worked to calm Bird and stop the bleeding, he said he had shot himself in protest of Trump.
Inside the bathroom, campus police found a $100 bill taped to a mirror with a note reading, “For the janitor,” the report said. On the floor were a .22-caliber handgun and a spent shell casing.

“SHUT UP”, THEY EXPLAINED: Politico reporting that “Paul Manafort’s pro-Ukraine campaign reached the top of the White House, with one of the members of his lobbying effort meeting President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in 2013, according to new court documents released Friday.”
Court documents and filings with the Justice Department previously revealed some of the members of Manafort’s Hapsburg Group and showed that they met with dozens of members of Congress, congressional staffers and Obama administration officials. But Friday brought the first indication that the campaign stretched to the top of the U.S. government.

The media’s silence is to be expected, as well as the political class.
“As for the political class, sadly, it is not worth entertaining the possibility that Democrats would investigate their colleague. But why the GOP establishment remains mum on Feinstein and China however is an issue that deserves deeper scrutiny.
In terms of election year politics, it may well be that congressional Republicans view Feinstein’s opponent, California state Senate Majority Leader Kevin de León, as even worse for its agenda than Feinstein. So why engage in an investigation that might damage her politically? Further, the establishment may believe it politically advantageous to let fester the intra-party fight between the Left and the far Left.
This might explain why the only response by senior members of the GOP to the Feinstein-China revelations has been to highlight the double standard between the FBI tipping Feinstein off, for at least the second time, as to China’s efforts to influence her office, and its silence — not to mention embedding of spies within the Trump presidential campaign team — regarding Russia’s alleged efforts to influence then-candidate Trump. Relatedly, the president himself raised the broader hypocrisy of Feinstein’s pursuit of the Trump-Russia investigation while she herself appears to have had a foreign spy in her house.”

The background: Keith Ellison’s letter:
“What would happen if Amazon no longer sold the materials associated with those marked “hateful” by the SPLC?
At one point it would mean you could not buy Dr. Ben Carson’s book Gifted Hands, since he was on their hate list. Amazon is not the place for you!
Until a few months ago, it would mean you could not buy books by “Ayan Hirsi Ali, the Somali victim of genital mutilation, and Maajid Nawaz, a Muslim militant-turned-reformer.” (In the words of the Washington Examiner, “Imagine Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s surprise to find that a career spent fighting extremism had landed her on a list of extremists.” As for Nawaz, he settled with the SPLC after they apologized to him and offered him $3.375 million.)
And as of today, it would mean you could not buy books on Amazon written by Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and Frank Gaffney, Jr., all of whom the SPLC has branded anti-Muslim extremists.
Not only so, but you could not buy books by Tony Perkins, head of the FRC, or Tim Wildmon, head of the AFA, since their organizations have been categorized as anti-LGBT extremists. (For the record, speakers at FRC events have included presidents, senators, governors, and foreign dignitaries like Prime Minister Netanyahu. As for the AFA, it is one of the most respected, conservative Christian organizations in the nation.)
Other authors who would be banned include Christian historian David Barton, journalist Joseph Farah (founder of WND.com), and yours truly. All of us were part of the SPLC’s laughable, 2012 list, “30 New Activists Heading Up the Radical Right.” (Also included in the list were some genuine violence-supporting hate-mongers, making the list all the more confusing.)

“The government sector has the monopoly on imports, the currency market is dysfunctional and there’s hyperinflation,” Ochoa said. “So, if salaries are increased by decree, and the commercial and industrial sectors cannot sell their products because of these problems, and on top of that because of electricity blackouts, infrastructure problems and the loss of qualified personnel, which is leaving the country, then it’s easy to understand that many may prefer to close.”

Where Is the hard evidence George?
At a time when even Mr. Trump acknowledged that the focus should be on millions of Americans in the path of the storm, the always-about-me president could not restrain himself for long. Angry at criticism of his response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico last year, he denied on Thursday that nearly 3,000 people had died, falsely calling it a made-up number by Democrats out to get him.

I think you (left wing) guys again missed the point. On PR deaths, your side makes the (computer model) claim, and I am just asking for the real world evidence. The counter argument was citing PR government evidence that evidently tied with actual bodies with names. Where are the other thousands of actual bodies with names?
And as far as who cites what evidence for arguing points, the record of these pages speaks for itself. It is what it is, and if those of the Left are happy with it, then rejoice. But please don’t push the point that our different cognitive universes can ever be rejoined unless you have even a smidgen of evidence about that. We are beyond the tipping point because all semblances of common ground are simply gone.

The left likes those computer models for dead bodies and climate change propaganda. Facts mean nothing. Where are the actual body counts? Oh they don’t exist. Trump gets blamed for every little thing and even his wife was criticized for wearing a certain shoe. You have to be mentally challenged to swallow all the crap that Emery swallows. I simply don’t understand where all this hate from him comes from.

Unintended consequences due to Prop 47: Shoplifting. Walmart does not even detain shoplifters anymore. Instead, more and more retailers are walling off areas and locking up items. You can do the crime if there is no time….a play off Baretta’s theme song of “don’t do the crime if you can’t do tme”.
———-
Petty theft is on the rise in Santa Maria,” said Mengel. “It’s gotten to the point where theft is so frequent that retailers have completely stopped reporting it, so the stats are perceived as having decreased.”
Mengel recalled one instance in which police apprehended a man three times in one day for shoplifting from the same store but had to let him go with a citation each time because he “met” the $950 cap each time.
——-
That value of $950 is not accumulated — it’s each separate incident, each time a shoplifter comes in,” said Tracy. “That means they’ll do it over and over again, and make off with a lot more than $949 per day if they’re given the chance.”

We now check receipts at the door because people are trying to sneak out with our merchandise. Most of the time that doesn’t even work. It seems like at least five times a day or more we have people darting out the front door with expensive items.
We are told not to confront them and even security is told to stand down. What’s the point of having security?
Today a man had a full cart full of items and just ran out the back door, setting off the alarm in the process. There was a car waiting in the back for him.
People know nothing will happen to them so they just run out. I have worked here for several years and it’s never been as bad as it’s gotten these past few years. I have been threatened several times by the thieves and 90% of the time we don’t even call the police when someone steals something.

While misdemeanors, in theory, can bring up to a year in county jail, Fresno Police Sgt. Mark Hudson said it’s not worth it to issue a citation or arrest a suspect who would likely be immediately released because of overcrowding.
“We’ve heard of cases where they’re going into stores with a calculator so they can make sure that what they steal is worth less than $950,” said Robin Shakely, Sacramento County assistant chief deputy district attorney.
For his part, Lutz, the hobby shop owner, has provided police with surveillance videos, and even the license plate, make and model of the getaway vehicles.
“They go, `Perry, our hands are tied because it’s a misdemeanor,”‘ Lutz said. “It’s not worth pursuing, it’s just a waste of manpower.”
