[It's clear that our liberal readers have a wildly different conception of 'witch hunt' than the rest of us. The WH effort to discover the self-declared anonymous leaker and resister who wrote the NYT op-ed is an existential and legitimate target of an internal investigation to ferret out someone who promises to make shambles of presidential executive privilege. There is nothing here to compare with what Mueller is doing in his investigation of Trump which is based on allegations and no evidence of 'Russian collusion' after an 18+ month probe into the affairs of Team Trump. There was no culpable evidence to launch the investigation, and its interminable continuation is also based on nothing but the hope of perhaps finding something in future. Now that is a witch hunt. gjr]

No matter how many outraged opinion pieces or news articles (but I repeat myself) the New York Times produces, no matter how many smarter-than-thou analysts with non-prescription eyeglasses mope about sadly on CNN, no matter how many Obama fan boys and girls left in the White House press corps shriek at the president whenever in earshot, it just doesn’t matter anymore.
The economy hums. Trump keeps us out of foreign entanglements. Wages increase. America’s traditional meritocracy replaces the Democrats’ grievance-based society. Life happens.
And while the New York Times op-ed was a nice try by the media, they must on some level, deep down, grasp the new reality: no one hears their screams.

“This is a very, very important part of history and we’ve got to tell it right,” said Thomas Kean.
“As you read the report, you’re going to have a pretty clear idea what wasn’t done and what should have been done,” he said. “This was not something that had to happen.”
Appointed by the Bush administration, Kean, a former Republican governor of New Jersey, is now pointing fingers inside the administration and laying blame.
“There are people that, if I was doing the job, would certainly not be in the position they were in at that time because they failed. They simply failed,” Kean said.

Tiny Tea party representation. The “Blue Wave Float” ,yes they called it that, went all the way from the Methodist Church to the National Hotel. Biggest turnout I’ve ever seen for anything. The early Tea Party showing was pretty big as well. Not sure the Republicans were even in the parade. The turnout for Audrey Denny was huge as well. Not a La Malfa sign in the whole parade. This is the Constitution Day parade, mind you. It’s usually a showcase for conservative ideas in Nevada County. Dismal and kinda sad.

Well. America got to see and read more leftwing propaganda about President Trump this week. Woodward’s fictional book and the fantasy writings of some person or organization published as an OP-ED in the New York Times.
Both simply reinforce our distaste for the lamestream fake news. Books or newspapers. My goodness, these writers are so brave about their viewing themselves as “saving” America from Trump they post as ANONYMOUS! What kind of guts does that take? None of course.
I watched “The Darkest Hour” about Churchill and if these sweet little songbirds would only watch that movie to see what real heroes are all about, perhaps they might start taking the risk of telling us who they are. But I won’t hold my breath. And the media, even FOX, treats these lies with some sort of legitimacy! They should have the guts to say NOPE, we won’t even talk about these tomes unless we have authors.
This week we were also subject to the childish antics of people calling themselves Senators. All democrats all children. Booker and Kamala Harris are the most ridiculous. Acting like little babies who need a bottle. I say they epitomize why I think there may be a “red wave” in November. Mainly because the American people of goodwill see these democrats for the rats they are. They want power and will say and do anything to get it. Don’t let them or America might fall into the same problems we see in third world countries.

I have taken an interest in the Beto O’Roucke vs. Ted Cruz Senate race down in the Lone Star State. Beto had 10 million pouring in from Hollywood recently and Cruz only had raised 6. Cruz said the pampered millionaires should stand for the flag, and Beto said Colin’s kneel was an act of heroism. Beto is all in on the Cortez agenda and Cruz is not. The people in Texas really do have a choice of two totally different world views.
When the Congress passed the funding for Iron Dome (to protect Israel from incoming missiles attacks coming from Humas, Iran backed Hezbollah, and Iran), and but 8 Conressman voted for it. Nancy voted for it. Maxine Waters voted for it! Beto was one of the eight in the Congress that voted against it. And he disdains guns.
I glazed at one poll without reading it a couple weeks ago. 38-39%, Beto up. That leaves one big giant undecided. Cruz will win low by single digits, up 3-6 in all likelihood. Beto just don’t like guns nor hate speech. Then he wants to work his way through the rest of the Amendments. How so unorgininal.

My goodness. I was recalling how during the last election, some unknown holligan wrote Trump in chalk on the outside concrete steps on some campus. Mental health professionals were called in, therophy sessions that lasted for months and all chalk is for now and forever more banned. No more sidewalk art. One simple word ‘ Trump’ written on some stair risers. No very big, say 6” high. The money quote was “I used to think of our campus as safe. Now, I don’t feel safe. I may never feel safe here again.”

Why was there such a poor and almost non presence in today’s Constitution Day Parade, am event that normally has a large turn out of the patriotic types that comprise the Republican-Tea Party contingencies in our community. Even Bill Smithers, a respectable and capable candidate for Sheriff had no presence in the parade compared to his opponnent Shannon Moon who had a good turnout. Do you have any ideas about this? .
