[It's clear that our liberal readers have a wildly different conception of 'witch hunt' than the rest of us. The WH effort to discover the self-declared anonymous leaker and resister who wrote the NYT op-ed is an existential and legitimate target of an internal investigation to ferret out someone who promises to make shambles of presidential executive privilege. There is nothing here to compare with what Mueller is doing in his investigation of Trump which is based on allegations and no evidence of 'Russian collusion' after an 18+ month probe into the affairs of Team Trump. There was no culpable evidence to launch the investigation, and its interminable continuation is also based on nothing but the hope of perhaps finding something in future. Now that is a witch hunt. gjr]

Meuller apparently has dropped the Russian Collusion story and continues his probe into the NY Madame, Roger the dirtman Stone, and…..well, even the Russians called Carter Page “an idiot” before this whole witch hunt started, lol. Who knows how the Obstruction of Justice story is coming along. Firing Comey is a weak case since the Dems were demanding his head on a platter and Comey obstructed justice with his pre-determined decision to wrest that investigation out of The DOJ’s arms and not risk having a Grand Jury see the evidence. The Federal Statues are pretty clean and intent is not in the equation. Any conviction of the Esponiage Act carries with it a life time ban of ever holding or rinning for a federal elected office.
I don’t know why the Dems are…er….were upset with Comey. He reopened the Hillary e-mail case weeks after Peter and Andy and he sat on it only because Comey said he thought Hillary would win…anyway. The truth was that angry FBI agents started asking why haven’t these Hillary State Department e-mails on Carlos Danger’s laptop been even looked at yet???..come on, we reported this to Peter and Co. weeks ago! Guess the corrupt officials in the FBI (along with DOJ lawyers) were hoping to run out the clock.
Now we have campaign finance violations to investigate and of course, Don Jr and Jarred and 500 Trump companies and where did that National Enquirer dude get the story about the baby born with horns on his head and the long pointed tail. Enquiring minds want to know.
It’s all in Trump’s tax returns! That’s where the gold and the smokin’ gun is to be found. I happen to know exactly where Trump’s tax returns are to found, but Meuller and Adam has not called me….yet. The tax returns are laying in Al Capone’s vault.

Knock yourself out. No one is discussing Kavanaugh’s qualifications and the comment threads go so far off into the weeds that I forgot all about Robin Diel’s opinion piece. If you want common ground, just say they are right and agree with everything they say and kiss their rosy behinds…..or not. Either way, we are all doing to die!
