[Good-hearted Darrell Berkheimer, one of our Union’s several progressive columnists, is truly an exemplar of ideological low hanging fruit. His most recent 1sep18 column is standard leftwing pap and a collection of its staple feel-good talking points, with no consideration of how any of such socialist goals can be achieved, either with living breathing human beings or available monies. His solution for the latter is to defund the military, which to him and his is the ever-present and unnecessary burden that maintains an America which keeps globalism at bay. DonB 1133am – Well said, and it will be oft repeated as this weekend progresses. Jo Ann and I will also be incinerating our pieces of dead animals for friends and family this weekend. I hope the taste of such delicious fare and the ease of its procurement remains with voters this November – it didn’t happen by chance, and most certainly this isn’t Obama’s legacy from which we had to dig out.

Media as the ‘Enemy of the People’ – For my two cents, our lamestream media easily fills that function at least to the extent that Pravda (‘truth’) did during the Soviet era, and still does for Putin. During the Soviet era Pravda had less effect on Soviet citizens because they were already in a totalitarian national gulag. Here we still have a modicum of freedoms left which will disappear if the lamestream is successful in bullshitting our light thinkers and youth into accepting the autocratic forms of governance that they promote by twisting the news to fit their narrative that corrupt America is yesterday, and a socialist one-world government is our tomorrow.

Trump never said (by Paul’s own admission) that the listed news outlets are committing any kind of violence. He said they are the enemy. Now maybe Paul’s first reaction to some one being a non-violent enemy is to be violent himself.
Well.
That says a lot about Paul and nothing about Trump’s intent nor the average American.
Have you never heard the expression – “the enemy of truth”? Do we fight that with sling shots, bazookas or fisticuffs?
No.
We fight untruthfulness and misinformation with correct info and facts.

Read the article on the protests in Germany over the murder of a German by two Muslims. The article referred many times to the protestors as “extreme right” and the usual denigration of those that may have a concern about Muslims. On;y once did the “journalist” refer to the counter-protesters as “leaning left”. Same teachers from college? Anyway, that is how the bias works. You cannot have a differing view about the killers than the media or you are now extremists on the right. Of course, there were a couple of goons doing the salute so they get to be upgraded by the media to the whole 4,500 people protesting. Just like Charlottesville in America.
