Poop-a-Roni, the San Fransico treat
http://www.stripersonline.com/surftalk/topic/734265-poop-a-roni-the-san-francisco-treat/
Too funny. 16,000 complaints of poop in Frisco in just one week. “Hey, somebody just took a crap in front of my house”.
To add to the Frisco Values lingo, The Santuary City by the Bay is providing “housekeepers” to clean up messes by homeless. Like, how can you be a “housekeeper” for those who don’t have houses?
Not available in California. Frisco Values and alll.

The murder of Mollie Tibbetts is a sad and tragic story but it’s defiantly being exploited by Trump as a diversion from his legal problems. He didn’t raise nearly this kind of concerns about the death or 17 teenagers at Parkland HS in Florida. Totally anecdotal message from Trump. Disgusting exploitation and I’m glad members of her family are aware of it.

Since public defecation seems to be “accepted” in SF just thought it would be interesting to discuss when non residents got to participate in the San Francisco Fecal ritual!

PaulE 1127am – IMHO, it is just as important to keep reminding people of the mess the Dems have made of SF, as long as they continue trying to export those values statewide (nationwide?). Such reminders are the analogue of your constant efforts to denigrate the Trump administration (e.g. gleeful poll quotes) because you would like to constrain Trump’s influence on our nation. My only wish is that you would debate the merit of any of the things Trump’s policies have achieved rather than your unswerving focus on his poll numbers and inconsequential ‘lies’. But instead you fly in tight formation with what is now the announced election tactic by the Dem leadership – to focus on Trump’s travails rather than present a competing platform of policies. You have been prescient in this regard, because this is the tactic you have already implemented since Trump was sworn in.

Its getting tough to be emperor Xi –
At issue is a government torn between GDP growth and deleveraging. China entered the year with a tough stance, aiming to prevent its own Minsky Moment. But as trade friction with the U.S. escalates, Beijing is starting to relent. It’s become clear that China’s economy isn’t as resilient as some thought: Manufacturing indexes have weakened, consumer confidence is sliding, and stocks are in a bear market.

re: PaulEmery & The Homeless “What ideas do you have about the problem?”
Drugs and alcohol have always been around. God knows how many bars NC had in it’s heyday and there was no problem buying bottles of laudanum at the local pharmacy.
A good start might be a combination of two things: readily available low end jobs and really mean cops.
Given the lack of horse stables and mines at this point combined with a police force that is told to let homeless people do as they like, you get a predictable result.
An additional solution might be to build a bunch of 2 ton human-drawn gypsy wagons as part of a feel-good effort.

Ahhhh.. The homeless… I say make the LIBS take them in.
Just take the DEM voter roll and start dropping them off at the registered address. Be sure Paul gets his fair share.
It a fine solution. Make LIBs do what they demand of the taxpayer.
LIBS are already “Frisco-ing” Nevada Co. The damned lowlifes are everywhere. They don’t want to work, and demand handouts.
Even the dude on the corner with a cardboard sign saying “will work for food”,, WON’T!!! He wanted the dollar.
The same for the guy using his supposed family as props. Didn’t want the work that was offered.( we needed a shovel and broom guy)
The LIBS have done a fine job of producing deadbeats.

In the “Mouse that Roared” dept. Jeff Sessions fired back at trump for his latest attack. Trump said. “Even my enemies say that Jeff Sessions should have told you that he was going to recuse himself, and then you wouldn’t have put him in. He took the job and then he said I’m going to recuse myself. I said: ‘What kind of a man is this?………You know the only reason I gave him the job? Because I felt loyalty, he was an original supporter. He was on the campaign. He knows there was no collusion.”
To Which Sessions replied, “While I am attorney general, the actions of the Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.”

It was probably a trump voter who believes the truth is not the truth that hung the jury.

How do you define an “inconsequential lie”?
Would you call lying to the American people about North Korea’s nuclear capabilities and ambitions by saying:
“Just landed – a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. ” an “inconsequential lie”? There’s no way you could possibly believe it’s true.
I’ve got dozens more of Trumps lies but lets start with that one. Is it true or is it a lie?

Here’s a contemporary lie for you’re reading pleasure:
“The first denial that Donald Trump knew about hush-money payments to silence women came four days before he was elected president, when his spokeswoman Hope Hicks said, without hedging, “We have no knowledge of any of this.”
The second came in January of this year, when his attorney Michael Cohen said the allegations were “outlandish.” By March, two of the president’s spokesmen — Raj Shah and Sarah Huckabee Sanders — said publicly that Trump denied all the allegations and any payments. Even Cohen’s attorney, David Schwartz, got in on the action, saying the president “was not aware of any of it.”
In April, Trump finally weighed in, answering a question about whether he knew about a payment to porn star Stephanie Clifford, who uses the stage name Stormy Daniels, with a flat “no.”
It’s now clear that the president’s statement was a lie — and that the people speaking for him repeated it.”

In my view, the Senate Judiciary Committee should immediately pause the consideration of the Kavanaugh nomination.” —Sen. Chuck Schumer
“We should be pushing to postpone the Kavanaugh hearing. This nomination is now tainted with illegality, because the president who’s nominated Brett Kavanaugh has been implicated in a criminal conspiracy, not just any criminal conspiracy, but one that impacted the outcome of the election.” —Sen. Ok, class, let’s get down to the root causes of The real problem. In my time, it was “All we need to do is get the Mexican economy built up and humming along and have factories down there and have good paying jobs for the workers and they won’t want to come to the US” narrative. Taken as the gospel truth. Who could disagree with that? No problem, looks good in academia.
Mexico hit oil, discoveries of oil field everywhere and opened up the gulf for them to boot. They can drill in some parts of our waters, we can’t. Sweet. Petro dollars will solve the problem. Oppps. Meh-he-co just elected a Marxist, so it’s going ain’t going to get any better. Only a hell of a lot worse. Marshall Plan for Central America next? The root causes, eh?
“I’m so sorry for the [Mollie Tibbetts] family here, and I know this is hard, not only for the family but for the people in her community, the people throughout Iowa. But one of the things we have to remember is we need an immigration system that is effective. That focuses on where real problems are. Last month, I went down to the border, and I saw where children had been taken away from their mothers. … And there was no plan for how they’d be reunified with their children.” —Sen. Elizabeth Warren
“Mollie Tibbetts was murdered b/c she told a man to leave her alone while she was jogging. Her murderer happens to be undocumented. This isn’t about border security. This is about toxic masculinity. Mollie Tibbetts lost her life b/c a man couldn’t take her saying no. Full stop.” —CNN’s Symone D. Sanders
… “No, Mollie’s death isn’t about her killer’s immigration status. Conservatives only caring when they hear ‘illegal immigrant’ is just as evil as liberals ceasing to care when they hear it. But the reason it’s worth noting is because it wouldn’t have happened if he weren’t here.” —Allie Stuckey

PaulE 428pm – To you a lie is any statement a person makes that later turns out not to be true, whether the statement was a deliberate falsification of what happened, or an assessment of what may happen in the future that doesn’t come to pass. I, and people who think like me, do not characterize the latter assessments as lies (although I do understand why you and yours must do so). So if you do call such misconstruals of what will be known in the future as lies, then I characterize them as inconsequential. Your logic would have every economist, stock analyst, financial analyzer, and even physicians who issue wrong diagnoses be labeled a liar. Therefore, suit yourself, as long as we all know your game.

Washington (AFP) – President Donald Trump on Thursday hailed recent reforms toughening Washington’s powers to prevent foreign investments that could threaten national security or allow the theft of American technology.
Trump’s remarks on the legislation, which was enacted earlier this month and does not target specific countries, coincided with a visit by trade negotiators from China — a country he accuses of rampant industrial espionage and forced transfers of intellectual property.
“I think not enough focus has been put on China and that’s been for a long time,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
The accusations are at the center of a trade war between Washington and Beijing, which Trump launched earlier this year, and which escalated Thursday with each country hitting another $16 billion in goods with steep new tariffs.
“This weakens our economy when they steal, destroys our jobs and threatens the security of our country,” Trump said.
“We now have a right to stop it. They won’t be stealing our companies anymore, especially companies that are quite complex.”
The reforms adopted this month as part of a defense spending bill updated 30-year-old statutes giving the president broad powers to block foreign investments in sensitive industries or those deemed harmful to US national security.
– Expanded powers –
Senior administration officials told reporters Thursday that the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act was not aimed at any one country — but reiterated calls on China to end what Washington describes as predatory trade practices.
Passed with broad bipartisan support among lawmakers, the legislation expands the powers of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), allowing it to cover both land concessions and real estate purchases as well as minority investments in companies that could allow technology and sensitive private data to be transferred outside the United States.

So George you write about, and I quote, ” an assessment of what may happen in the future that doesn’t come to pass. ” you, and I quote, “do not characterize the latter assessments as lies”( See first quote.
So if Obama based his “assessment on what he thought was the truth and it turned out not to be not so than that example, being his observations on doctor availability under ObamaCare, that does not, in your view, constitute a lie.
