What Democratic policy is that you refer to, George, or is this just another of your cryptic allusions (snark)? No one is forcing those people to migrate. Whatever that policy is, I would say it is actually working out quite well for CA. Which state has the strongest economy in the nation, CA, Alabama, Kansas, Ohio, or some other backward red(neck) state that voted for trump? The austerity experiment, fed to gullible braindead tea party politicians by Alec and other right wing billionaire funded think tanks, is a total failure. It’s all about cutting services from the public (that they pay for with their taxes) and giving the money to those who have an insatiable lust for wealth and power. On the other hand, CA continues to prosper, especially without the dead weight people moving to Texas. In fact, I would suggest that those disgruntled righties who seem to grouse because CA isn’t a red(neck) state and doesn’t do things like Michigan would be happier migrating to a state (or country like Russia) more suitable to their beliefs. High taxes, strict environmental regulations, etc. are just part of the cost of doing business in CA. If people don’t like it they are free to leave.

Oh Bobbie, play that endless loop again and put it on Twitter. You must have your speech on file to pull out and paste while pulling the cowbeds out of your ears. Kinda bad timing to be bashing on the Tea Party.
“Knock knock” asks Trump on the phone in the Oval Office.
“Who’s there”, asks Hillary in rely.
“Not you”, answers Trump and all them Deplorables.
Not a good time to be bashing on people fleeing to Texas and how wonderful the CA business climate is. CA create 800 Jobs last month? Best to put that speech away until the timing is better.
Yes, folks are free to leave. Problem is they haven’t. They promised to move to Canada and are still here! New Zealand is a nice place, Justice Ginsberg. Somebody nudge her and wake her up. Don’t think she heard me.
Not a good time to be bashing on out links. Who fact checks the fact checkers? You? OMG, the Daily Daily Wire!!! Red alert, red alert. Psst, Bobbie. Daily Signal is better. Daily Caller ain’t bad.

RobertC 928am – Nothing cryptic nor snarky in my 615pm; only reference to a well-documented outmigration from CA that is due to the sum total of decades of Dem control of the state’s public policies which have now gone beyond the tipping point for thousands of CA families. Since your 610pm crowed about getting rid of the state’s “riffraff” as an intended consequence of what has gone on before, it is natural to conclude that this was an intended overarching Dem policy. I give this to you and yours as a compliment; else we must also view such outmigration as one of the most recent in a long string of Democrat fuck-ups. Hope this helps.

What I see happening in California is this. The rich liberals have banded together in the cities and refuse to allow affordable housing so it is unnecessary to build a high fence around them. The rest of the state is leaving as they are unable to afford it. The vacumn is filled by illegals. And we now see the rich liberals importing their nannies and gardeners and feces cleaners into the compounds called San Francisco etal. So the rich liberals can stay as long as those illegals don’t invade their citadels.LOL!

The Left is a violent bunch. That’s the facts of life.
There have been no right-wing groups storming campuses and flinging feces at speakers we don’t like; no tea party mobs destroying property, assaulting police officers, and paralyzing our major cities; and no Republican senators calling their colleagues murderers just weeks after a political assassination attempt.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-liberals-antifa-violence-20170718-story.html
It takes a strange act of the mind to overlook leftist violence in the American present and recent past. It’s as if attributing deep hate to right-leaning people was a drug. An obvious addict is Bill Moyers, the former LBJ operative who’s made a career out of sanctimonious exposes of conservative wrath. A few years ago, he spoke of how “Conservative Talk Radio Incites Domestic Terrorism & Hate” and last year during the campaign he warned,
“Trump and his ilk would sweep the promise of America into the dustbin of history unless they are exposed now to the disinfectant of sunlight, the cleansing torch of truth. Nothing else can save us from the dark age of unreason that would arrive with the triumph of Donald Trump.”
Whether it’s real (the softball shooter) or make-believe (Kathy Griffin), liberal violence in contemporary America is a fact. It would seem to be a natural focus for Moyers’ campaign against political hatred. But at his web site one can only find brief notices of the shooting in Alexandria that emphasize the bipartisan nature of wrath in the United States, citing another story on “potential incitement of political violence by Democrats and Republicans, the right and the left,” as well as a population research finding that “Republicans and Democrats were indistinguishable in their support for political violence.”
This all sounds like a cross-political appeal to reason, but in truth, it’s an effective way to push the liberal-peace and conservative-violence meme. When a lunatic with right-wing opinions goes on a rampage, it says something about the essence of conservatism. When a lunatic with left-wing opinions acts, it summons forth bipartisan expressions of civility. Conservative hate is conservative, but liberal hate isn’t liberal at all.
Republicans and conservatives should recognize the across-the-divide call for unity as a hustle.

Socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seemed to compare Democrats winning elections to the abolition of slavery during a Kansas campaign speech Friday.
“I learned that Kansas was founded over the struggle of the conscience of this nation,” Ocasio-Cortez told the Wichita crowd of over 4,000 people, as reported by Breitbart. “It was when we were deciding who we wanted to be as a country. It was when we were deciding who we wanted to be with the Kansas-Nebraska Act. The people who were … leading this nation said, ‘You decide’ to the people.”
“‘Are we going to be a slave state or are we going to be a free state?’ And it was in 1861 that the people of Kansas decided that we were going to be a free nation,” she continued. “Back then, the people of Kansas were the tipping point for the future of this nation. Today, they are again.”

“Record production of U.S. crude oil and natural gas liquids last month highlighted the strength of our nation’s energy renaissance,” Dean Foreman, API chief economist, said in the announcement of the report. “U.S. oil production has supplied all of the growth in global oil demand so far this year and helped compensate for production losses in some OPEC nations.”
“With continued increases in drilling activity, the U.S. is poised for further production increases in natural gas and oil,” Foreman said.

Makes sense to me. If Halloween customers are banned for being offensive (like toss that big sombrero in the closet or those Indian headdressesa d cowboy hats into the vast dust bin of history), then it is only logical that we ban certain actors and actresses from playing certain roles. Just like Halloween, acting is but pretending to be somebody else for a brief period, is it not? And to think Charles Bronson was Polish and his body carved out of a mountain. He could never get those roles today.

Don and Fish concerning My Gal’ in her moo-moo.
Aha. Halloween is on topic today. Who would have thunk? Many moons ago, I arrived at a private Halloween Party drunkfest in a unusual costume, cheap and easy.. I put on an old well worn moo moo, put zinc oxide on my nose and smeared it on my cheek under the eyes, put my beard in those big plastic curlers. threw on a shower cap and grabbed a toilet brush as a prop. As the party progressed, several younger hot Hollywood type young ladies dressed as French Maids or Elvira, Princess of the Dark (and the like), cozied on up to me and asked what I was supposed to be. Standing there looking like that pic of Hillary but with curlers in the beard and sideburns, I replied, “You, in about 30 years.”, waving the til.et brush. Needless to same some folks have no sense of humor.
Gotta feel sorry for My Gal. Folks said she was showing no passion, no fire in the belly. So, Hillary starts going the Rousing Speech Delivery thing building to an impassioned crescendo, and immediately the Deplorables like moi, the Anybody But Clinton crowd and the Bernie Bros start doing the Screetch Meter on her, with ratings from 4 to off the charts. Man, I was never so happy to have Trump stand on her neck and crush her larynx. Fortunately or unfortantuately. Trump showed mercy and did not completely crush her voice box. But, at least the screeching went bye-bye. Moo moos are cool.

You go Prez, yo go! Self interest of the allies is a reliable coin of the realm –
But Trump is now officially on currency watch. Yesterday in a CNBC interview he said the Chinese currency is “dropping like a rock.” And he took the opportunity to talk down the dollar.
The Treasury Secretary is typically from whom you hear commentary about the dollar. And historically, the Treasury’s position has been “a strong dollar” is in the countries best interest. But Trump clearly doesn’t play by the Washington rule book. So he promoted his view on the dollar (at least his view for the moment)–and it may indeed swing market sentiment.
The dollar was broadly lower today. We’ll see if that continues. If so, it may neutralize the moves of China in the near term. Nonetheless, the U.S./China spat is reaching a fever pitch. Someone will have to blink soon. Trump has already threatened to tax all Chinese imports. The biggest risk from China would be a big surprise one-off devaluation. As we discussed yesterday, that would stir up a response from other big trading partners (i.e. Europe and Japan). And they may coordinate, in that scenario, a threat to block trade from China all together.

Darn Libertarians, always trying to control peoples’ bodies and put LGBTLMNOP people in camps.

It’s kind of ironic given that the great issue of the age seems to be open borders/mass immigration, and reading this:

there appears to be more agreement than not between (L) and (D).

Only for appearances sake…..
Libertarians seem to think that immigrants will settle down and become beneficial low cost entrepreneurs, and economic producers fearful, coming from places with oppressive governments, of the omnipotent state. Indeed this is the Reason.com argument!
The left is more practical. They see the immigrant community as a vessel into which all of their complaints and the “isms” that they cherish can be poured and refreshed at the ballot box (this is the one topic where our Green Libertarian™ absolutely will not go even after being challenged about it on numerous occasions) a new horde of meatspace Team D lever pullers!

“ I think that a lot of the Libertarians I have known would be genuinely surprised by how they are lumped in with Team Red, who in turn aren’t particularly miffed with them.”
“it appears to me that Conservatism is finding itself in one of those eras where it is being redefined.”
Gregory and Fish: Don’t matter what you think, stand for, or your core libertarian principles. Same with conservatives. The unfortunate fact and present danger is that we have been “redefined” by others. There is a gap between L and what what outsiders have labeled you or what herd they have placed you in.
My two cents on Libertarians.
I always considered parts of me as a closet Libertarian under the Don’t Tread on Me banner. Live and let live stuff. Always considered Libertarians cool and points of intersectionality with Thomas Jefferson. I part ways with, say a John Strossel, when it comes to legalizing heroin (or meth?). Maybe decriminalize for the user, but bust the pusher man. I part ways with some Libertarians on defense, as hellish the thought of invading foreign countries with lethal force and creating war zones out of civilian areas.
With the above disclaimers out of the way and thinking Libertarians are well and fine, I used to frequent a Libertarian page called the The Discontented Libertarian or a name like that. Like my Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children kind of name., but shorter and gentler. Anyway, it was a real eye opener for me.
The posts were good, thoughtful in a calm presentation, with a some memes and drawings. Nice FB Page. The eye opener? It was the comments. Not the rage and hate from the far left twitter mob, but from what I would call loyalists to the Democrat Party, long time Dems, Friends of Bill and Hillary types. Like a Darrell Berkheimer, not a flamer type.
Anywho, I read the comments and they in their snobbish condescension, labeled you guys as anarchists. And definitely were looking down their noses at Libertarians.
A typical comment would be “I walk in to the Post Office, which I did not build. I walk across tiled floors that I did not pay for. I see paint on walls I did not paint. You did not build this. I did not built this. So, you are saying you do not the want government to do anything? Are you saying your taxes should not pay for….”.
Yep, that site got outnumbered 20-1. It was a big eye opener to me cause I thought everybody kind of got along with Libertarians, at least not to the point of mocking or animus. Didn’t see the Bernie Bros in there much or right wingers. Ok, maybe a Bernie Bro or two would pass through to go after them on Wall Street Money Ho Hillary, but not a lot. It was the Dems going after the Libertarians. Hillary People. Mainstream. Go figure. We are defined by others even when we it out there first. In fact, I am busy redefining ALL those Mainstream Dems ike Boardman as part of Maxie Waters’s Red Karma brigades. Or OC airheads. Broadbrush paints the board in both directions. 🙂

scenes 909am – Good catch on that posting. That is what we can call as meaty documentation of corrupt goings on.
How should we deal with politicians who have seen evidence which either corroborates or contradicts something in the public forum that is falsely reported and thereby hurts certain people, and then they remain silent when they could resolve the matter with truth? In their silence, they clearly told a (Type 3) lie that abetted error and hurt.

Just wondering. Since the Pellines and the Crabbs won’t let many of us post on their blogs yet they come here with their sneak attacks. It seems to me that a person claiming MOTR positions has to start fine-tuning those policies so we can actually see what they believe. Like the FUE we already know. But for Crabb I would like to know his position on guns, abortion, size of government and the border. Of course he will probably not say at thing except for glossing over them. But what the hell are the positions on these non-alignes?

Good idea as well as a number of team 0’s talking heads –
Sen. Rand Paul said Monday he is meeting with President Donald Trump to ask that former CIA Director John Brennan have his security clearance revoked.
“Is John Brennan monetizing his security clearance? Is John Brennan making millions of dollars divulging secrets to the mainstream media with his attacks on @realDonaldTrump,” the Kentucky Republican tweeted Monday morning. “Today I will meet with the President and I will ask him to revoke John Brennan’s security clearance.”

Guns and abortions are about the same as marijuana. You can ban them, but it won’t prevent them. The size of guv’mint is tricky. I like my social security and medicare. It would be nice if everyone could have them, but how would you ever control the cost? Trumpublicans are right to grow the economy at a faster pace than the Democrats, but I suspect military spending will eat up most of the dough that should go to the national debt. Immigration shouldn’t be so complicated to solve. Make the pathway to citizenship clear. Let the Dreamers be first in line. No voting or benefits until applied for citizenship. Clear enough? You may start picking it apart at your leisure.
