The Grand Jury in DC is made up of a jury of Marion Barry peers who rubber stamp anything the DOJ throws its way. Think about it. Where are you going to find one opened mind libertarian or R in DC? Maybe one RINO and a Nevertrumper or two, among the 7% Republicans, lol. This is DC where cab drivers won’t take you down certain streets in broad daylight and the darkest of blue.
No, the indictments can say the moon is made of cheese. It’s the cross examination that is the engine that makes it justice. It’s what the contfrontation legal system is all about and how we get close as possible to the truth. And, there lies the crux of the problem. No cross examination, not challenging anything. My bet is that you don’t have any clue what they are talking about, but the magic sounds good. Report back to us when you have some clue how the ‘hacking’ was done and just how difficult that is.

Trump has been tougher on Putin than Obama ever dreamed of. Put the most lethal weapons in the Ukrainian’s hands (something Obama couldn’t bring himself around to do and opposed), put missiles in Poland, started rebuilding the milatary Obama deliberately eviscerated, and has been ten times harder on Red China than previous administration even tried. We be really for Putin, with or without NATO. Besides, the Trump Tsar Tower casting its shadow of Red Square will be terrific.

Funny how people hear what they want to –

Putin also volunteered the information that Trump had insisted the Russian annexation of Crimea was “illegal.” So much for appeasement.
Trump was also aggressive on the topic of Europe. Having just come from the NATO summit, where he berated Germany over buying gas from Russia while relying on America’s protection, Trump announced that the U.S. would compete with Russia to sell gas to Europe.
That is a major challenge of geopolitical significance, a sign the U.S. is going to use its technological edge in oil and gas production to boost Europe’s economic independence from Russia. All Russia has, Trump noted, is the advantage of location.

CNN analyst and Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin attacked President Donald Trump on Twitter on Monday, suggesting that the president was ignorant because he allegedly did not know that Finland is not a member of NATO.
However, Rogin was forced to eat his words a short time later.
Trump had thanked Finnish president Sauli Niinistö for hosting the meeting between him and Russian president Vladimir Putin, adding that he had enjoyed seeing Niinistö at the NATO summer last week in Brussels.
Moreover, Niinistö had even had a direct meeting with President Trump at the NATO summit, to discuss Monday’s “summit.”

French President Emmanuel Macron has formally signed into law a new multiyear defense budget, clearing the way for a funding boost for procurement for the Air Force, Army and Navy.
Macron signed the 2019-2025 military budget law on July 13 at Brienne House, just before the garden party held on the eve of the Bastille Day military parade on the Champs Elysées.
This was a “military budget law of growth,” he said in a speech to the officers and personnel who would take part in the parade the next day. The spending would be at a level unseen for decades, hitting the defense spending target of 2 percent of gross domestic product by 2025, he added, and the move comes at a time when the domestic budget was under strain.
The budget would allow the acquisition of more than 1,700 armored vehicles for the Army as well as five frigates, four nuclear-powered attack submarines and nine offshore patrol vessels for the Navy, he said. The Air Force would receive 12 in-flight refueling tankers, 28 Rafale fighter jets and 55 upgraded Mirage 2000 fighters, he added.
This year will see a €1.8 billion increase (U.S. $2.1 billion) in the annual defense budget to €34.2 billion

The Republican National Committee surpassed the $200 million fundraising mark in record time for a midterm election cycle, leaving its Democratic counterpart more than $100 million behind.
After raising $13.9 million in June, a record for that month in a non-presidential year, the RNC reached $213 million for the 2017-2018 election cycle, according to a party official. As of the latest numbers, the RNC has $50.7 million cash on hand and zero debt.
“What I see when I travel the country is that Americans continue to be enthusiastic about President Trump and the Republican agenda,” RNC chair Ronna McDaniel said. “That enthusiasm has allowed for me to grow our war chest and invest it into what has become the biggest ground game in our Party’s history.”
The RNC has five times the cash on hand that the DNC has. A Democratic Party official said its total fundraising haul for the year is only $101 million.

Don: From that other post about indictments, you posted about Nunes saying they are trying to run out the clock on his probing. Yep, Dems love to do that. In fact, Darrell Issa said the same thing awhile back when he was investigating the IRS or Benjahzi….said the investigation has closed because the clock has run out and he won’t be on the Oversight Committee next term. New blood, moving on to the next thing. I was disappointed that day after watching him get stonewalled by O & Company for 16 straight months.
Anyway, I was looking for Issa’s exact quote when I went down memory lane. Never found the Issa quote, but this is worth it just flipping through the articles at a fast pace. I forgot how corrupt the Obama Presidency was and how bad shit crazy Nancy was in 2012. 🙂

It was the exclamation point on a stunningly patriotic pregame ceremony that featured an A-list celebrity, more than 350 local choir members forming an American flag and a war hero throwing a baseball to one of baseball’s biggest stars.
James C. McCloughan, a combat medic who risked his life on nine separate occasions in a 48-hour span to rescue wounded soldiers, stood on the mound Tuesday night and fired a strike to Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper, who stood behind home plate.
In a lot of ways, he was a perfect choice for the MLB All-Star game — McCloughan is both a decorated war hero who was awarded a Medal of Honor in July and a Hall of Fame high-school baseball coach from South Haven High School in Michigan, where he spent 38 years after returning from the Vietnam War.
McCloughan was one of 29 Congressional Medal of Honor winners that MLB brought together for a touching moment on the field. After both All-Star teams were introduced, the 29 Medal of Honor recipients sat on the field. More than 350 choir members dressed in red, white and blue gowns came together from three corners of the outfield to form a human version of the American flag and eventually sing the national anthem.
The Medal of Honor winners watched as Hollywood star Bradley Cooper narrated a short video about what it means to win a Medal of Honor.
After the video, each of the 29 Medal of Honor recipients stood on the field and were introduced to the capacity crowd. They took turns waving, saluting or giving a thumbs up.
Once the national anthem was over, every MLB All-Star went onto the middle of the field to shake their hands.

Remember that proposition that banned large capacity magazines (as if anything more than 10 is large capacity) in California… that was to go into effect last July?
You miscreants with large cap magazines were going to have to get rid of them by the D-day.
Well, there was a lower Federal court that put in a restraining order in time to keep it going into effect, and there was an appeal to the 9th Circus challenging the order.
