I keep seeing this inch along, slowly, a point here, a quarter point there, after awhile it’s a slight trendline. Start picking up a few here, a few there. Better than the arrow pointing down.

Just looking for a half point or two here or there, not a wave. More than a mist, maybe a trickle, not a firehouse. A small leak in the dyke, pay it no mind.
I don’t see the Dems imploding. I see the Maxine Waters and Pocahontases of the world are on the deep blue coasts and just they don’t have the numbers or represent a large cross section. The Berinistas. I will be generous and say almost 30% tops. But, that is enough for them to sabatoge themselves out of another election cycle. With that said, I see a few Dems in Ohoi sitting this one out or start to wander off the reservation.
Wonder what the DNC’s internal polling shows. Bet they are showing that Trump is starting to be view as legitament, something that was never supposed to happen. Plan was to have him totally deligitimatized (if not gone) within 6 months. That what resist is all about. Bet internal polling funded by those big think tanks shows they aren’t going to drive Trumps numbers down under 30% like they did Bush, and make him a lame duck by default. Even those Nevertrumpers like Beck, Goldberg, Willam Krystal and his entire gang of pundits, most all of the Bush people….even they are starting to see Trump as legit, or warming up to the idea….and they can read the tea leaves.
I will agree to disagree and call it a trendline. Riding above flatline, still under the radar, not rockets propelled arrows going vertical on the graph. Very slow and steady.

Todd, the open borders crowd is still just the OWS gang. They have their own deplorables, but keep them down at the drum circles while the real power brokers sleep in $900-$1,200 a night suites in the hotels up the street with room service. They are the betters of the street people and only use them to pull them out of a jam. Useful tools the street rats be, but don’t linger too long amidst them. Ain’t safe nor civilized.
This is the same group who went gaga over little Boss Hogg, told us we all must listen to him, do everything he says, and let’s drop the voting age to 16, like right now! Then they chased over that Stormy lawyer as the next Great White Hope to take Trump down. Before that it was that Yale phycologist on CNN a zillion times who, even though she is no longer legally licensed to practice her trade, is The Expert to prove Trump is crazy and have him removed from office. And their hopes still burn for Meuller to come up with something, anything. Make it close enough for hand gernades and horseshoes. Best keep a candle going in the window on that former slam dunk.
Gosh, they are even protesting removing children from their parents when caught illegally entering the US, even though Trump has dumped the policy, ROFLMAO.
Now they are going loco for Coco Puffs over some clean young articulate nice looking Latina who speaks English without an accent as the next Great White Hope to led the Occupy Wall Street Liberal bowel movement. Cortez is her name, the Conquering Cortez. Wonder if she wants to burn the libraries and historical records like what the other Cortez did to the Aztecs. Nevermind that the stunning upset and instant Lefty media darling captured the primary in a very heavy Dem District with only 16,000 votes. There are numberous precincts with more than 16,000 votes counted for a candidate out there, lol. The best thing about Cortez is suddenly she makes Kamalla Harris look like a withered dock denizen by comparison.
They will run after the next shinning object soon enough. I have already forgotton each new thing they run after. Too many to remember. The Logan Act looked like the cure at one time. They suddenly over night fell in love with Gov. John Kasich, then back in love with John McCain and probably Little Marco Rubio. They are but lost children, unmoored, leaderless, and are like children following the Pied Piper. I would take it all with a grain of salt. Consider the source.

There was no Supreme Court vacancy to fill.
There was no nominee to consider.
The Senate never took a vote to adopt a rule to delay consideration of a nominee until after the election.
Nonetheless, Biden took to the floor in a speech addressing the Senate president to urge delay if a vacancy did appear. But he didn’t argue for a delay until the next president began his term, as McConnell is doing. He said the nomination process should be put off until after the election, which was on Nov. 3, 1992.”’

Unlike Todd, I’m willing to cede the point that Nevada County has become more Democratic over time. It’s an odd kind of trend, though.
Presidential election votes…republican (or, as you charmingly say, ‘pubbers’) vs. democratic vs other
2016 42.53% 23,365 47.43% 26,053 10.05% 5,517
2012 48.35% 24,986 47.73% 24,663 3.92% 2,027
2008 46.12% 25,663 51.43% 28,617 2.46% 1,367
2004 53.39% 28,790 44.92% 24,220 1.69% 910
2000 54.76% 25,998 37.22% 17,670 8.02% 3,811
1996 50.40% 21,784 35.56% 15,369 14.03% 6,066
1992 39.24% 17,343 34.92% 15,433 25.85% 11,425
My gut tells me that the underlying trend is Democratic. A combination of a slightly higher Hispanic vote, decline in working class jobs, decline in ‘old school’ engineers at places like GVG, an increase in Pelline + PaulE + ReinetteS (difficult to tell apart without a program).
I feel for Todd, since it’s hard to watch an area pivot away from people who actually work for a living.

I scrurried over to the Union site per your prodding. Talk about a nothing burger. How big was the Inaugural crowd? How big was the Brunswick Burger Basin Crowd? It’s was 800 folks. No, it was 200 folks. Waste of time.
Yes, I have broken my own rules by commenting on the Union’s FB page lately. Not a lot, but a trend I feel,is unproductive. But, once I do, I adjust my setting to “mark as read” so I don’t have read any feedback or have the likes or contemptible distain on my FB page.
The whole shebang is they just do not see any difference between legal and illegal foreign nationals. Zero. You cannot get it through their mushy filled melons that all those unsightly images of little crying bambinos being ripped ripped ripped pulled stitched and rippppppppeeeeeeeeedd while being torn to shreds from their caring mother’s arms could be so easily avoided if the caring parents simply showed up at a point of entry.
So simple. So avoidable. So easy. But, no.
Waste of time. It’s all on the parents who made the conscious deliberate decision to sneak in on their own terms. Now they expect (and believe) they call all the shots, set all the terms, and have the final say. Guess our family value friends on the Left don’t think about a few Islamist terrorists or those already barred from entering ( for darn good reasons)from sneaking in with a child in tow.
Again, what kind of parent would put their young daughters on top of a train, hand them a few packages of the morning after pill, and place them with human (and sex) traffickers solely because once the child is placed, the ruthless parents get a meal ticket entry to the US at a later date. What kind,of animal, would do that to their own children? Their own little daughters?
Ah, nevermind. Wrong thread to discuss this anyway. The unhinged unthinking and ultimately uncaring have fallen into the abysss and don’t even know what an abyss is. Not a good idea to argue on FB, generally, IMHO.

Not at all, Good Doc. You are not the target of my (sometimes incoherent, always hard to follow) ramblings. I jumped from a small trend line topic to another topic. That second topic was about slapping down some of the exhiberant comments found readily across the Internet in the wake of the Maxine Water’s glorious maxims, Mr. Manny’s column in The Union, and here implied by some of my brothers in arms. Not you.
The Leftinistas may be in disarray, unhinged, suffering from TDS on steroids, but implosion? That is being way more than cautiously optimistic. What was that phrase former Fed Chair Greenspan coined…..oh yeah, it was “Irrational exuberance.” Irrational, in spite of all the near term evidence to the contrary, because they just do not understand the vastness and depth of the the wasteland we call the liberal mind. Never underestimate the enemy and all that stuff.
While I have your ear, I have been meaning to tell you this without sounding too much like a brown noser. That post your wrote titled “No Abyss for Progressives” is one I had to read and reread at least 5 times. One of the best you have penned. I had this sinking feeling I was missing something. The point about Manny having a flaw in his agrument. It was there right in front of me the whole time, but I was too blind to see it. To apprendend the point, not merely comprehend it is what I am saying and struggling with.
“The American electorate is now hopelessly divided into those too dumb to be informed, and those too smug who think that they need do nothing but wait for Divine Justice to strike through a parting of the clouds to “implode the progressive movement” of dastardly and seditious anti-Americans. Meanwhile, with apparent impunity, the Left continues to field platoons of political thugs…………The logic, totally absent from the Left’s mindset and to which Mr Montes appeals in his arguments, is shared today by a diminishing minority –
How can we point out the abyss to them when they are already blissfully unaware that they are in the abysss already and like it that way?
Opps, I combined topics again. 🙂

A Belgian couple and an apparent Iranian diplomat were among four people arrested over the weekend in connection with a planned bomb attack at a large rally held by Iranian opposition groups and attended by President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, authorities in Brussels said Monday.
The Iranian-heritage couple, identified only as 38-year-old Amir S. and 33-year-old Nasimeh N., were apprehended on Saturday after police stopped them and searched their car in the Woluwé-Saint-Pierre neighborhood of Brussels. Investigators found more than a pound of TATP explosives and a detonator, said Eric Van der Sijpt, spokesman for the Belgian prosecutor’s office.

Based on real worth exchange rates, the country’s minimum wage is roughly equivalent to one dollar ($1) a month.

The po’ ol’ fakenewsman needs to stay out of subjects where his depth of knowledge is micron thin. Shannon was a registered republican and our Guest at the Spring Dinner. She decided to switch to DTS in a tactical electoral move but NOT DEM.
A DTS is not eligible for an endorsement in a race with 2 other registered republicans. You best stop digging. 😉
