Now that the just released IG report about Russian collusion and Hillary’s emails took the wind out of Democrats’ sail, their next bag of hot air is blowing across the land from a timely pivot to blaming the Trump administration for separating illegal alien kids snuck over the border by their illegal alien parents who are now criminals according to longstanding US law.

When you are caught sneaking across our border with your kid(s), you are not an “immigrant” – now no longer adorned even by the politically permuting adjectives ‘illegal’ or ‘undocumented’.  You are simply an apprehended illegal alien fugitive.  That you broke our laws does not entitle you to an automatic smorgasbord of benefits and special treatment.

Having your offspring in tow does not suddenly make you exempt from the laws that prescribe how our native criminal parents are dealt with when they are taken into custody.  We don’t put their children in jail with them, and we don’t give adults a ‘get out of jail free’ card just because they have children.  What we do is take their kids and put them into appropriate foster care until their parents’ legal situation is resolved according applicable laws.  On any given day there are almost a half million children in foster care across America, and the turnover in that population is high.  Here is a summary of data on that from the Dept of HHS, ‘The AFCARS Report’.

Today, as part and parcel of the spread of national dumbth, progressives (and even some light thinking conservatives) are hyperventilating about Trump having invented a new policy for ripping children from the loving arms of parents who really did nothing wrong other than leave their shithole country, illegally transit other benign countries, and sneak across our border to live the American dream.  All they want is asylum, jobs and/or US govt checks, and amnesty.  What’s so bad with that?

The details of the applicable laws, the history of their enforcement, and the current situation is more complex than can be explained to attention-deficit audiences with other things on their minds.  All that they need to hear from lamestream outlets is that Trump is “cruel and immoral” and doing something never done before to jailed people, be they American citizens or illegal aliens.  Such reporting should keep the leftwing’s 'Resist Trump' pot boiling.

For a more measured and complete analysis of what’s really going on here, I recommend reading Rich Lowry’s ‘The Truth About Separating Kid’.

Must be ok to seperate 8 month old children from their parents because, according to AG Sessions the bible told me so
“Addressing law enforcement officers in Fort Wayne, Ind., yesterday, Sessions defended the controversial policy.
“I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained the government for his purposes,” Sessions said. “Orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves. Consistent and fair application of the law is in itself a good and moral thing, and that protects the weak and protects the lawful.”
Trumps law is Gods law. Hmmm How about adultry, banging a Porn Star while the wife is home with a baby in the bath?

Just more of the dems trying to change the subject in the face of the DOJ IG testimony today with fakenews.
However, the photo of the young boy was actually taken on June 10, 2018 at an event protesting the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” policy. The boy is not a detainee. The protest featured signs reading: “If you were separated from your child, what would you do?” and “Hey Trump, what if it were your grandchildren in those dog cages? What would you do then?”

This is a major issue and mess Trump inherited. It’s not a matter of blame, its all about pulling our collective asses out of the mud pit and fixing this huge problem.
Solution is to cross at a legal point of entry. Don’t blame us for the sins of parents with kids on hip and in tow sneaking into the US like thieves in the night. Its on the parents. Kindly use the front door. Please. We are begging you.

PaulE 216pm – You 1221pm criticism of Sessions is either nonsense or not complete – what of the AG’s statement are claiming is wrong, improper, or unlawful? On what basis do you bring ‘relevancy’ into the discussion, especially implying that my 136pm had anything to do with relevancy – you conversation seems to be all over the place instead of addressing the issue of how we should handle the kids of the illegal aliens we interdict within our borders. That seems to be a bit of a problem that you and yours don’t want to address – so reverting to irrelevant snark it the answer. Do you really think RR readers are so dense as not to recognize your deficit, and think that your comebacks are really clever?
And in a reciprocal vein, why are you not addressing the fake news that the lamestream continues to spout (e.g. the 237pm, 239pm, 244pm above)? The illegal kids problem is real, what better solution do we at the grassroots level have than the one we are applying to our own incarcerated adults?

And the beat goes on –
Solicitor General Noel Francisco asked the nation’s highest court for a partial stay on an earlier court order that blocked the Trump administration’s efforts to withhold public safety grants from so-called sanctuary cities. While the exact specifications can vary, sanctuary city policies overall limit how much local law enforcement officials can comply with federal immigration authorities.
The Justice Department is asking the Supreme Court to limit that injunction just to Chicago, instead of the blanket nationwide ban, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. In the emergency request, Francisco said the injunction “reflects the increasingly prevalent trend of entering categorical, absent-party injunctions that bar any enforcement of federal laws or policies against any person.”

Anyone ever wonder why the democrats never have any solutions to anything? They have a screw loose that keeps them from utilizing the thought process. Take Boardman here. Any recommendations on the issue? Nope, just namecalling Trump. That seems to be their schtick. Never solving anything as it can then be mischaracterized as a Republican problem that they can use their sycophant fake news people to spread.
My solution is to keep the family together, detain them for up to two days, and if denied entry, have a bus ready to take them back.
Turns out the MS-13 thugs have tried to use the little munchkins as a way to get in. And now we see the lies of the left about “cages”. Simply chain link dividers. My goodness the left is corrupt and worthless.

Right now, a illegal immigrant national hiding behind some kid they picked up at the landfill from another country while coming to bust into America without permission, our knowledge, or even welcoming them can take up to 7 years to kick their sorry lying sneaky asses out of here. That is a de facto amnesty.
It might cost a wee bit of money, but IKE’s policy was never to bus them to the border. It was to fly them back to their native country (or Mexico City for the Mexican Border jumpers). That kept some of them from coming back for awhile. That’s a lot cheaper than caring for them p. which is equilavent to the yearly cost of tuition at our colleges our citizen children and adults pay each year. One illegal child for one year costs the same as tuition at our colleges for one year.
Find the foreign nationals, fly them back to their native countries and let them apply for entry from there. Hell of a lot cheap than having them poop and piss on our soil for a year. We have a backlog of 700,000 cases and that does not even touch DACAs.
The reason Boardman calls on Trump to fix this gigantic problem is precisely because he is desperately crying out for an adult to solve this problem knowing full well the Democrats cannot, will not, and are incapable with coming up with a solution.
Where was the media during 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016??? Where was the coverage of this horrific situation? Where, where, where??? The situation was the same then. Not a new problem.
Nevermind, a rhetoric question. We know where they were. They were busy going down on Obama and could not quite see beyond the task at hand. Loved all of Boardman’s columns on this very issue, each and every one of those pearls he wrote. Loved all his solutions he presented. Guess I missed that. Maybe the news director pounded on the topic for years and I missed that too. But, but, but they are just trying to provide a better life for their families! Have you no heart?
Trump, please fix it. Oh please, please, please. Boardman knows his ilk are impotent when it comes to ideas and devoid of viable solutions. Somebody be the adult in the room!

Fakenewsmen notwithstanding the reality is –
NIELSEN: So I want to be clear on a couple of other things. The vast majority, vast vast majority of children who are in the care of HHS right now — 10,000 of the 12,000 — were sent here alone by their parents. That’s when they were separated. So somehow we’ve conflated everything. But there’s two separate issues. 10,000 of those currently in custody were sent by their parents with strangers undertake a completely dangerous and deadly travel alone. We now care for them. We have high standards. We give them meals, we give them education, we give them medical care. There’s videos, there’s TVs, I visited the detention centers myself. That would be my answer to that question.

Crossing the border illegally is a crime and multiple crossing is a felony. Reality Check –
Smuggling cartels are making at least $500 million a year bringing migrants into the U.S., Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told Congress on Tuesday, outlining the scope of the problem for lawmakers as illegal border crossings continue to surge.
Ms. Nielsen took a firm stand on the causes of the surge, saying economies in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala are growing and homicide rates are falling, suggesting the push factors back home should be easing. Instead, she said, the booming U.S. economy and lax American laws are enticing the flow northward.

After taking the podium, Nielsen squarely challenged Democrats for grandstanding on the issue and accusing the administration of using the children as leverage to get Congress to act.
“I say that is a cowardly response,” she said. “It is clearly within their power to make and change the laws. They should do so.”
She also challenged Democrats for attacking law enforcement officials for doing their job to enforce the laws on the books.
“We will enforce every law we have on the books to defend the sovereignty and security of the United States,” she said. “Those who criticize the enforcement of our laws have offered only one countermeasure. Open borders.”

Here is a question you asked of me that I will answer
” what of the AG’s statement are claiming is wrong, improper, or unlawful?”
What does the bible have to do about justifying a policy decision? Enforcement of the law is of course contextual. To justify a legal action by saying the Bible told me so is a violation of the concept of Church and State that is part of our basic being as Americans. The bible is up to many different interpretations as we all know and for Sessions to use it as a moral justification for separating young children from their parents is not the teachings of Jesus or the bible in the opinion of most Christians. In my view his position is highly improper. How is that different than Shariah law in cultures that observe that?
