[So Starbucks is going to sensitize all their employees in all their 8,000+ stores this coming Tuesday afternoon. Anyone have any idea what difference such newly sensitive employees will make when all the stores will be open to anyone wanting to get in out of the rain and cold, and take advantage of a pause that refreshes? gjr]

Now Walt. I never liked those “America, love it our leave it” bumper stickers back it the day because of the 1st Amendment, but those “Next time you need help, call a Hippy” bumper stickers made me smile. These issues have been around a long time. Loving America is not a requirement. It is a Priviledge to serve your county, not a duty. A priveledge that only 0.5% of the population is fortunate enough to have experienced. O.5 percent just happens to be the percentage of DACAs that have enlisted in our military branches….some things are universal.
Is Calexit on the ballot? Never got mine. Yes, I am registered. Got on line and there my real name was. Said I am registered. But also said my ballot was not counted in 2016, even though I voted. Reason: N/A. What the heck is that all about? Is it because I am part Injun, is it cum breath Clerk recorder?? I was registered in 2016, am still registered, and my ballot was NOT counted. Guess that means I voted in vain. Darn, I wanted to vote for Trump. Well, you public servants accept my county taxes and cash the check Lockett split, didn’t you, you worthless County fuck heads. Anyway, I digress.
The point. Why Calexit? Because liberals want to be in power and have not gotten over the fact that Trump won. They are like going on a first date with a gal who can’t get over her last awful boyfriend. “He did this, he did that, he, he, he, he, blah, blah, blah. Then they wonder why nobody calls them back. Makes sense they have no policies to put forth because still hung up on their last boyfriend. “Trump did this to me, Trump is awful, Trump blah, blah, blaaaaaah, blaaaah”.
So, they don’t want to live with Deplorables, not for a New York minute…unless they are in charge and can control what they do, say, and think. Fuck America, Calexit! They must not be challenged. Their way is the ONLY way. Trump did this, Trump did that, Trump, Trump, Trump. Then Trump did this and then Trump won, blaaaaaaah.!” Birds of a feather flock together and are like pigeons who peck away at those different from their group
Then they get upset that some like moi relishes the idea (in concept) of a State of Jefferson, or New California, or just not wanting to be anywhere near the Nazi Liberals. It never occurs to the “Democrat Socialistc progressives” or Green Libertarians that half of America wants nothing to do with them. Absolutely nothing, except we don’t want to control them or have authoritarian rule over them. That’s not who we are….but I do hate control freaks, MS-13, Hamas, and George Soros.
Figure Calexit folks don’t want no State of Jefferson. They want all of CA, yet not all of CA wants them, lol. What is that quote from William Buckley Jr? Oh yeah.
“Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.”

“Can’t we all just get along?” – Rodney King
You are truly delusional if you think the vast majority of your bre’r Californians share any belief system, including yours. You can’t even lay claim to the vast majority of Nirvana County, which, the last I saw, was pretty well split down the middle.
With the upcoming Janus decision from the SCOTUS that is expected to decimate public employee union coffers in 22 mostly Dem states, and the upcoming Trumpian US Census, there may be a blunting of the Nirvana of a one party state. Don’t count your voters before they’ve hatched.

Vast majority your ass — According to the CA Sec. of State office. –About 45% of registered voters are Democrats; 25% no preference; 25% Republican; and 5% Other. These statistics were as of 4/6/18. I think it would be correct to say that almost twice the number of Democrats as Republicans is, in fact, a vast majority.

25% Republican in this state? Way to high. Think it is about 19% in CA. The Republicans have fled the party in droves and the Dems have their voter rolls growing like Jack’s beanstalk. No need to. Both jon and Robert Cross appear to live in a Whiteopia in the marches between the real California and Nevada. The place they defend ain’t where they live.
The real California invents laws that the rural counties get to follow, like it or not.
It’s a good experimental lab for liberalism, though. Quite a lot of dough, single party government, a happy mixture of illegal aliens, first generation legal immigrants, and well-meaning liberals. The predictable result was no forward motion on health care, an ever expanding scrum of homeless people, expensive universities, new taxes wherever they can be raised, some rich people, and a well paid bureaucracy. It’s basically a slow motion movement to a larger version of Brazil.

If you would take off the asshats, you might notice that the negation of your claims that there are a vast majority of Democrats/Progressives isn’t that there are a vast majority of Conservatives, which suits me fine ’cause I’m not a conservative or a Republican. It’s that there aren’t a vast majority of Progs and LibDems, period. Cash has been keeping it together.
You do not have a permanent majority of left and hard left Dems. In fact, statewide, you don’t even have a majority… which is 50% plus one vote. What happens if the public employee union geese stop delivering cash? What happens when AGW collapses as a scary monster to keep the kiddies in line?
The winged flying monkeys keeping disorder in the golden state’s Ministry of Love have been the public employee unions. That’s about to go bye-bye, by a number of folks in the know. Good luck.

Which begs the question. Why don’t you call KVMR and find out exactly what “subsidies” KVMR receives. 265 9073
Here are the details on LaMalfa. Nice work if you can get it.
“The farm owned in part by Rep. Doug LaMalfa, R-Calif., received at least $5.3 million in farm subsidies between 1995 and 2016. LaMalfa is a member of the House Agriculture Committee, which has jurisdiction over farm subsidies.”

5.3 million divided by 12 years is 440k per year divided by La Malfa’s part (2-3 or more owners of the farm) would be 147k or less to 220k max per year average. Yep, those farm subsidy bills are one complicated stack upon stack of laws, regulations, subsidies, and even includes help for the little guy to compete and keep the family farm. Open spaces and all. Otherwise the little guy could not compete with the big boys and would have to sell the land to some evil developers….for a tidy profit. I like open spaces and everybody has to eat. Heck, Nevada County is a rural county and the gobberment pays big land owners here to keep grazing cattle and not sb Divide. It’s part of our charm. Like Mayberry Cheaper than building Section Eight housing…..for a poor refugees who just want a better life than they had in their shithole countries. It’s for the children, who also have to eat.

Just the facts, ma’am.
“Federal funding represents 18 percent of KVMR’s budget, $174,000 this year, and officials say it could have a devastating impact on the nearly 40-year-old Nevada City community radio station…..
Federal grants help fund every aspect of KVMR’s operating costs, including live broadcasts, the news department, salaries for the 10-member staff and four contractors, and equipment. Recent grants have allowed the station to invest in more equipment, which has made more live broadcasts — including forums on veterans issues, cannabis and Centennial Dam debates — possible.”

Personally, I think I’m anti-farm subsidy, but don’t know the side effects if you cut them off. Probably food prices would rise and then I’d get to hear about the starving poor. Dunno why SNAP is part of that whole world, but it makes for crazy politiking.
KVMR. A cool hobby for a number of people, kind of like the railroad museum. I wish someone underwrote things that I like to do.

I guarantee you Walt KVMR has not received 5 mil from the government. It’s the incredible hypocrisy that LaMalfa is willing to cut off poor folks from food stamps while getting millions for so called “subsidies”. I thought you believed in free enterprise. You are a Fake conservative like Todd.

Oh Paul Emery stop it. LaMalfa farms food and society gets a benefit for all that work. And he has many employees. KVMR plays crap music and its news shows suck. Alll lefty tripe. Putting a work requirement on food stamp and welfare recipients is a good thing. Teach them to fish. You really are a lefty liberal sap, aren’t you? Tell the readers how much free dough your KVMR gets. Are you afraid?

Says the fake libertarian. Ok, Punchy, how much as the amateurhobby station received from the government over the last 40 years? To be fair, the hobby lobby certainly got some cheap rent. That is a good thing.
