[More school killings, this time with a revolver and a shotgun – no semi-autos in sight, yet the killings continue. When do we come to a national conclusion that it is the shooters we should do better at identifying and stopping, rather than taking guns from law abiding citizens? gjr]

Time to get real in the NFL –
Per sources, one anthem idea being discussed: Leaving it up to home team on whether teams come out for the anthem; if teams do come out for the anthem, potential that teams could be assessed 15-yard penalties for kneeling.

President Trump’s tightened labor market through increased enforcement of immigration is forcing home builders to recruit American women, rather than relying on cheap, illegal alien workers.
A new report by MarketWatch reveals how the tightened labor market is securing construction jobs and opportunities for women who would otherwise have been passed on in favor of cheaper foreign laborers.
In Trump’s tightened labor market, there has been history-making wage growth for American workers in the construction industry, the garment industry, for workers employed at small businesses, black Americans, and restaurant workers.
The tight labor market has also secured higher wages for overtime workers and high-paying, coveted white-collar jobs for American teenagers.
Historically low unemployment for American people of color boosts women into the labor market too.

Let’s see what Trump did today to piss off the press. Oh my, assault! That Trump is something else, I tell ya. I am sure democracy will survive.
Our photographer briefed her on what the situation was. She entered the building and just about five minutes later our CNN photographer saying all he saw was an arm opening the door and shoving her out. To the point, she was having trouble keeping up with her steps,” she claimed.

Let’s see what else. Oh my, Trump violated 5 political norms in just the past week. Man, my little Trumpser is hitting his grove: What a bunch of sticks in the mud.
You can’t get used to this,” Brzezinski said before asserting: “You see shock, and you see horror in our voices. It’s because we love this country, and we’re not going to get used to this.”

Walter E. Williams on Russian meddling in the US: From Russia with love.
Those same 990 forms show that the Sea Change Foundation distributed more than $20 million in grants in 2010 and 2011 to environmental organizations. It gave more than $40 million in grants to leftist environmental groups, such as the Natural Resources Defense Council, The Sierra Club Foundation, the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, the Tides Foundation, the Union of Concerned Scientists and the World Wildlife Fund.
In return for the grant money, those leftist environmentalists were “to promote awareness of climate change,” “reduce reliance on high carbon energy,” “educate the public about climate and clean energy” and “promote climate and clean energy communications.” A U.S. House Science, Space and Technology Committee report, titled “Russian Attempts to Influence U.S. Domestic Energy Markets by Exploiting Social Media,” details that the environmental groups used the Russian money to protest the process of fracking and fight the building of the Keystone XL pipeline. If environmentalists can thwart U.S. oil production, Russia, which is a major energy supplier to Europe, stands to gain greater economic and political power.
Rep. Lamar Smith, the chairman of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, has raised the possibility that those complicit in the scheme to use American environmentalists to advance Russian propaganda and interests could be in violation of federal statutes that apply to foreign agents lobbying in behalf of foreign interests.“

Lord knows what a full list of those kind of lobbying efforts would look like. It’s an odd thing that digging up computer-stored evil doings by a US presidential candidate rather than oblique forms of bribery brought out an interest in this. OTOH it’s hard to avoid the USB drive theory of Her Nibs activities being brought to light.
It got me to thinking of AIPAC and it’s brethren, which have always been a third rail of US policy.
From this:
http://fairbd.net/the-influence-of-ethnic-lobbying-on-us-foreign-policy/
I like this sentence:
‘As stated by the former Secretary of Defense, James Schlesinger in 2001, “the United States has less of a foreign policy in a traditional sense of a great power than we have the stapling together of a series of goals put forth by domestic constituency groups”’
Being the internet, I’m now going down the rat hole of lesser known but powerful groups. One appears to be AHI ( American Hellenic Institute ) which appears to love getting the US involved in Greek domestic politics and whatever the current war with Turkey is all about.

You know, it would be pretty clever for Russians (or Saudis for that matter) to fund certain US environmental interests. It’s pretty easy to convince people that pipelines are more dangerous than oil tankers, and there’s certainly money to be made for the donors (and professional managers of ‘non-profits’).
You get a lot of bang for your buck donating to groups full of loud, well-meaning people, so I expect no one will ever uncover most of this kind of funding. It’s just too easy to hide.
A starting point.

That Susan Rice CYA e-mail to herself minutes before Trump was sworn in is stuck in my noggin. So, I had to look it up to see why.
Ambassador Rice appears to have used this email to document a January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting between President Obama, former FBI Director James Comey and former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates regarding Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election. In particular, Ambassador Rice wrote:
“President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book’. The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”
Aha, there it is. Jan 5. “The President stressed that he is not asking about…..”. Not asking about? Peter’s texts say the WH wants to be informed about everything they are doing.
Hmm. Jan 5 was the day before Comey went to see President-elect Donald J. Trump.
The timeline:
1. January 6, 2017, 9:44 a.m. FBI Chief of Staff James Rybicki sent an email to unspecified recipients stating, “the director is coming into HQ briefly now for an update from the sensitive matter team.”
2. January 6, 2017, afternoon. Director Comey met with President-elect Trump.
3. January 7, 2017. Director Comey memorialized his discussion with President-elect Trump via an email to senior FBI leadership. Director Comey wrote, “I said there was something that Clapper wanted me to speak to PE [President Elect] about alone or in a very small group.” Director Comey wrote, “I then executed the sessions exactly as I had planned,” and “I said media like CNN had them and were looking for a news hook.”
4. January 8, 2017, 12:08 p.m. Then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe sent an email to senior FBI leadership with the subject line “Flood is coming.” Mr. McCabe wrote, “CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story. … The trigger for them [CNN] is they know the material was discussed in the brief and presented in an attachment.”
5. January 8, 2017, 12:55 p.m. Mr. McCabe emailed then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and then-Principal Deputy Attorney General Matthew Axelrod with the subject line “News.” Mr. McCabe wrote, “Just an FYI, and as expected, it seems CNN is close to running a story about the sensitive reporting.”
Two days later on January 10, 2017, CNN ran the story about the unverified and salacious allegations made in the anti-Trump dossier with BuzzFeed publishing the dossier within a couple hours of CNN’s report. The Federalist’s Sean Davis writes:
To date, there is no public evidence that the FBI ever investigated the leaks to media about the briefing between Trump and Comey. When asked in a recent interview by Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier, Comey scoffed at the idea that the FBI would even need to investigate the leak of a secret briefing with the incoming president.

Reality check –
NFL owners have unanimously approved a new national anthem policy that requires players to stand if they are on the field during the performance but gives them the option to remain in the locker room if they prefer, it was announced Wednesday.
The policy subjects teams to a fine if a player or any other team personnel do not show respect for the anthem. That includes any attempt to sit or kneel, as dozens of players have done during the past two seasons. Those teams will also have the option to fine any team personnel, including players, for the infraction.

“There are agents all over this country who love the bureau and are sickened by [James] Comey’s behavior and [Andrew] McCabe and [Eric] Holder and [Loretta] Lynch and the thugs like [John] Brennan–who despise the fact that the bureau was used as a tool of political intelligence by the Obama administration thugs,” Joe DiGenova, a former United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, told the Daily Caller.
“They are just waiting for a chance to come forward and testify.”
In a statement to the Daily Caller, an unnamed FBI agent claimed, “Every special agent I have spoken to in the Washington Field Office wants to see McCabe prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They feel the same way about Comey.”
“All Congress needs to do is subpoena involved personnel and they will tell you what they know. These are honest people. Leadership cannot stop anyone from responding to a subpoena. Those subpoenaed also get legal counsel provided by the government to represent them,” the agent added.
Former FBI Assistant Director James Kallstrom made similar statements when asked last December about morale at the bureau.

No doubt. Things haven’t changed much, if you don’t like a President and you’re too lazy to bitch about policies, you cook up stuff like that.
My strong guess is that Obama is gay, so the girlfriend part is probably out, but the Man’s Country stories made the rounds. In terms of ‘campaign staffers’, I’m always reminded of the IRS commissioner.
It all makes a certain amount of sense. Obama is a political being, his whole life and wealth is built on that, so he spent time weaponizing the executive branch for his party. Trump is a $$$$ being, so all of his friends and associates will tend towards sketchy (although perhaps not illegal) business deals. Which approach is preferable?
One important lesson from this is that it takes someone with an incredible ego and a lot of savvy to move into the White House if he’s moving in largely by himself. The modern Presidents have all brought in 1000’s of camp followers with ready-made hierarchies, and being largely on your own has got to be a bummer.
Oh yeah, just to make this more readable to ‘M’. ,,,,,,lol,,,,TRUMPSKI,,,blahblah,,,,,,!!!!!

“But what makes Brennan rise to the top of the list are questions regarding his involvement with the infamous Christopher Steele dossier — you know, the one funded by Hillary Clinton and the DNC. It appears that Brennan lied to Congress when he testified that the Steele dossier had nothing to do with the intelligence community’s conclusion that Russian election interference was intended to help Trump. As Investor’s Business Daily notes, “Brennan also lied when he said he didn’t know who was behind the Steele dossier, even though both the Justice Department and FBI knew a year earlier that Hillary Clinton, Trump’s foe, had paid for the Steele hit job. The idea [that] Brennan, head of the world’s most powerful spy agency, didn’t know who was paying for the dossier simply isn’t credible on any level.”
Meanwhile, as L. Brent Bozell & Tim Graham point out, “We’re at a point where we should be asking what Obama’s top intelligence hacks, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and then-CIA Director John Brennan, were cooking in 2016. But guess what. CNN hired Clapper, and NBC News hired Brennan. Now they are paid by the networks to tell the folks at home that Trump is nutty for insisting they did anything nefarious.”
https://patriotpost.us/articles/56141-spygate-trump-calls-out-deep-state-conspiracy
The good news is the statue of limitations has run out on Clapper’s lying to Congress. Always a silver lining:
Clapper today said that he was merely “thinking something else” while committing a federal crime as if that somehow exonerates him of responsibility.
Obama even went as far as adding James Clapper to panels which were tasked to review the very programs he had lied under oath about, underscoring a broader problem with the former regime and cover-up efforts.

Finally, allow me to share an award-winning example of Democrat obfuscation in rebuttal to Trump’s demand for an additional investigation.
Senate Minority schmoozer Chuck Schumer (D-NY) did a masterful job of turning this situation inside out: “That he would issue such an absurd and abusive demand based on no evidence shows just how little regard the president has for the rule of law.”
Seriously, he referenced “Rule of Law,” claiming there was “no evidence,” which is precisely the amount of evidence that led to the Mueller investigation.
Schumer then added, “President Trump seems to have the terribly misguided view that the Department of Justice is there to protect his political interests and prosecute his enemies.” Ironically, it was Democrat Party leaders who weaponized the Department of Justice to take down Trump.
Schumer finally ran out of hot air with this summary: “The president’s behavior is the kind of grossly autocratic behavior we’d expect in a banana republic, not a mature democracy.”
Actually, the FBI/CIA probe is what one would expect when banana republic autocrats are attempting to take down their opposition.
As Mick Jagger’s song ends, “It’s a gas, gas, gas,” and more Obama/Clinton FBI/CIA operatives just got doused.

Now a moment of unity. Liberal wingnut from the NYT and young conservative Ben Sharpio agree! A meeting of the minds. Total agreement.
First, the NYT fretting reporter:
“New York Times columnist Frank Bruni expressed his alarm on Tuesday that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling could actually be helping President Donald Trump.
http://dailycaller.com/2018/05/22/mueller-russia-investigation-helping-trump/
Now, young Ben…..the one whom the enlighten socialist/Maoist professors and their brain dead worthless Antifa children become unhinged over and block from speaking on campuses.
“But there’s another reason Democrats seem to be dropping like a stone, too: their Russia obsession. The reality is most Americans think the Russia investigation is going nowhere. As of early May, just 44 percent of Americans though the FBI special counsel investigation of President Trump and his associates is justified; 53 percent thought that the investigation is politically motivated. Three-quarters of Americans think Trump should cooperate with the probe, but Americans are skeptical that there is a there there”

Yep, America roots for the underdog…especially one like Trump who is being relentlessly bullied by the mean Leftist Maoists. Worse than Nazis. Bully, bully, bully Trump all day long and then they wake up bullying Trump.
The other thing America cares about is victims. We have a deep ingrained sense of justice. We, a kind and generous exceptional nation, are most sympathetic to victims as it violates our sense of justice. All can see how Trump is being bullied and slandered and smeared (along with his immigrant wife and young son) and rightly view President Donald J. Trump as a victim of the bullying and unspeakable injustice perpetrated upon our President by vicious and vile bullies. That is one big turnoff for decent folks to witness, thus the disappearing Blue Wave. Mean people suck. Guess that is why you will never hear a crowd chant “USA, USA, USA!” at a Democrat Party rally.

This was a stupid community organizer idea to begin with –
The United States has revoked an invitation to China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy to participate in a naval exercise, the Pentagon announced Wednesday, citing Beijing’s destabilizing moves in the South China Sea — including deploying weapons and other military equipment on contested islands and artificial reefs.

“Pelline is once again whining about the Union Newspaper and its Editorial Board. Pelline is the ex-Editor that was sent packing after numerous complaints about him from the community I am told. He tries to make us believe he has ethics and standing to criticize others in the community. Now he attacks a man that is all about helping the community with time and money. Lots of money. From Meals on Wheels to Hospice to many other local organizations Mac Young is well known for his tireless efforts at making Nevada County work for all people. Even Music in the Mountains and other local charities get his help. But that means nothing to Jeff Pelline. Don’t critic his pal Gregory Diaz. Anyone who supports a candidate Pelline dislikes is fair game for his ruthless and asinine attacks. Thank goodness his blog is not attended by any more than three or four people. Mac is well liked and respected here in the county he grew up in. Pelline, a product of a silver spoon Marin County life has no idea who he is screwing with.

The Russian 13. Thirteen knots in a noose, 13 the unlucky number…for Meuller. There’s always one in every crowd.
“Former federal prosecutor and National Review Contributing Editor Andrew C. McCarthy told TheDCNF it was too late for Mueller to claim that the complexity of the case warranted a delay.
“Speedy trial rights belong to the defendant, and if the defendant pushes for a trial within the 70 days, the government has little cause to complain,” McCarthy said. “If the case was too complex, the government had the option of holding off on seeking an indictment until it was ready to proceed to trial. When a prosecutor files an indictment, it is tantamount to saying, ‘We are ready to go.’”
It’s “inappropriate for a prosecutor to manufacture complexity and then contend that things are too complex,” McCarthy told TheDCNF. “If a prosecutor is disclosing mountains of foreign language materials without an understanding or explanation of their relevance to the case, that is a delaying tactic and an attempt to chew up the defendant’s resources.”
The tactic “is apt to make the presiding judge very angry,” he added.
Dubelier contended the voluminous evidence against the 13 Russians did not apply to Concord.
Friedrich has yet to rule on Mueller’s request for a delay.

Translation #1: Clapper did not know about it. Knows nothing. He would have been told on something this big.
Clapper’s remarks, in an interview by NBC’s Chuck Todd on Meet the Press on Sunday, are being taken as a blanket denial of the allegations that the Obama administration used the Justice Department and FBI to investigate Trump-campaign figures, potentially including Trump himself…..(no, you used other methods, lol.)

As Bill points out, Muller just dug his own grave.
“Concord Management and Consulting — entered the U.S., hired American lawyers, and demanded a speedy trial. The Speedy Trial Act is a 44-year old federal law that dictates that a federal criminal case must begin within 70 days from the date of the indictment.”
Muller wants that law ignored too!
If Lerch indicted, he should have had plenty of evidence on hand to go to trial.

So does anyone think that it would be same if it was a pink pussy hat, Antifa or LaRaza?
An Oregon teen has filed a lawsuit against his high school after he was suspended for wearing a “Donald J. Trump Border Wall Construction Co.” shirt to class.
Addison Barnes maintains he engaged in a “respectful, silent and peaceful” expression of his political views in the lawsuit against Liberty High School, its principal and the Hillsboro School District.
Also included on the shirt was the phrase “the wall just got 10 feet taller,” a comment that then-candidate Trump made in a presidential primary debate in February 2016. President Trump’s proposed border wall has been a hot topic ever since he first brought up the idea during his successful run for the White House.
