[More school killings, this time with a revolver and a shotgun – no semi-autos in sight, yet the killings continue.  When do we come to a national conclusion that it is the shooters we should do better at identifying and stopping, rather than taking guns from law abiding citizens?  gjr]

Relax Leftists, , your boy Rod just bought you another year….
The FBI and DOJ have provided more classified information to the New York Times and the Washington Post than to the committees requesting the information, numerous sources said.
A never-ending investigation at this point would allow the DOJ, which has stonewalled Congress for more than a year, to bury the documents in yet another ongoing investigation that will be out of sight of the public and then, like many things in Washington, buried in the swampy waters never to be seen again.
And this may be the reason Rosenstein agreed to act only four hours after the President’s tweet Sunday to have Horowitz take the lead on the investigation into whether the FBI and DOJ used an informant to infiltrate the Trump campaign in the 2016 election.
“I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes – and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!”
A former senior U.S. intelligence official said the FBI and DOJ use “national security” implications every time it’s asked to turn over documentation to Congress. He noted “the rules for the handling and protecting of classified material are solely in place for protecting sources and methods, not malfeasance and embarrassment. This has nothing to do with protecting sources and methods – it has everything to do with protecting themselves and broken institutions.”
This cat and mouse game has lead to burgeoning battles for more than a year behind closed doors on Capitol Hill and inside the DOJ’s marbled offices in Washington D.C.

Do they even hear themselves or are they blinded by possibly allowing illegals to vote?
I mean isn’t it funny that twice in one week Democrats chose to defend Hamas and then chose to defend MS-13, a violent gang that leaves women dead on park benches in New York. I mean twice in one week. It was very clear that the president was referring to MS-13 gang members and yet you saw Democrats double-down and say that the president was carte blanche referring to everyone as ‘animals.’ What a joke. [Emphasis added]
MS-13 has done heinous acts. They have committed acts like stabbing a man 100 times, you know Rep. Peter King knows this very well in New York. It’s something that we need to take seriously and crack down on in fact. When a violent gang in their motto is ‘Rape, control, and kill,’ I don’t think any term can be too strong to refer to them.

Just to take a break from this mornings Trumphate, here’s a number worth considering. It was mentioned in passing on the radio this morning so I looked it up.

So, basically all the solar in the US doesn’t quite cover the bitcoin bill worldwide. It’s probably time to build more photovoltaics.

Yep, I listened to Levin’s radio show yesterday. Stuff that makes most people’s eyes glaze over, but not mine. He spent over two hours making his point, step by step. Indeed, it is big. I am sure he will be pounding on it today. He wishes he could prosecute the case himself before the courts, lol.
Rather than pound on it myself, I have to say I cannot get Susan Rice e-mail to herself minutes before Trump got sworn in out of my mind. That and two of Peter’s texts. The one about insurance policy and the other that Obama wants to know everything going on. They are stuck in my noggin.
This won’t convince anyone, but here is an article from someone who is definitely no fan of Trump. I surmise that many folks kinda feel this way who are not following every detail, aka, enough to raise eyebrows. Let’s find out.

“. . . . while Trump thinks in the long term.”
You are delusional. Even his own family can’t predict what he is going to do. Among his staff, Trump’s impulsive nature keeps them wondering. Shooting from the hip is not intentional nor is it a “plan.” He has the attention span of a flea, and like a flea simply jumps from cause to cause to idea to tweet to another burger without forethought. I can give Trump credit for a few things, but thinking in the long term isn’t even in the ballpark.

1). I like Byron York, another no fan of Trump, but a fan of the truth. Ah, those mystery early months.
“…..according to Lynch’s testimony. (The principals committee includes some of the highest-ranking officials in the government, including the secretaries of State, Treasury, Defense, and Homeland Security, the attorney general, the head of the CIA, the White House chief of staff, U.N. ambassador, and more.)
So the nation’s top political appointees, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies were watching Trump campaign figures in the spring and early summer of 2016.
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/when-did-trump-russia-probe-begin-investigators-focus-on-mystery-months
    2) Sam Clovis: FBI, suspected informant wanted to create ‘audit trail’ to justify FISA warrants. The Cambridge Professor was been quite busy. Got paid close to a million bucks from our intel agencies over the years for his papers on China, etc.
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/sam-clovis-fbi-suspected-informant-wanted-to-create-audit-trail-to-justify-fisa-warrants
    3) love how the FBI approached that Russian Billionaire “oligarch” about the Trump Campaign. The guy said, “What, are you crazy? We can’t stand Manifort”, lol. The agents left “giggling”. Hey, if they want to find out about oligarchs who run “The Bank of Putin”….the go to bank to get money in and out of Russia, just read the Panama Papers. It points straight to Tony Podesta, ROFLMAO. We deal here in facts, not fiction.
    4) In court, Meuller’s team….more specially former Clinton Foundation lawyer Rhee (represented Hillary in 2015) was surprised when one of the Russia companies indicted for trying to interfere in the 2016 election sent a US lawyer to defend itself. First, those indicted were emloyees the “Russian firm” or ever worked for “the firm”. Rhee told the judge they have two terabits of evidence. The Russian “firm”’s US lawyer pointed out that the massive amount of intel about “the firm” was just social media posts and comments by hundreds thousands of people that Rhee characterized as “the firm.” It was hundreds of thousands of people’s comments on social media, not just the original posts, lol. When Rhee said the evidence was in Russian, the defense asked if the posts and comments have been translated to English. Rhee relied “no, they are in Russian.” The defense asked, “Then how do we know what is in them?”, ROFLMAO.

SCOTUS ruling yesterday. Was I the only one following it?
Justice Neil Gorsuch framed the case in two basic questions. Can employers insist that workplace disputes be handled through individual arbitration? Should employees always have an option of bringing claims in collective actions through the courts?
“As a matter of policy these questions are surely debatable,” Gorsuch wrote for the majority, which included Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. “But as a matter of law the answer is clear. In the Federal Arbitration Act, Congress has instructed federal courts to enforce arbitration agreements according to their terms — including terms providing for individualized proceedings.”
On the other side of the 5-4 ruling were leftist Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It was Ginsburg who wrote the particularly shrill dissent, and she insisted on reading it from the bench.
“The court today holds enforceable these arm-twisted, take-it-or-leave-it contracts — including the provisions requiring employees to litigate wage and hours claims only one-by-one,” Ginsburg complained. “Federal labor law does not countenance such isolation of employees.”
Ginsburg’s dissenting opinion supports the idea that workers can accept terms of employment that include individual arbitration, but then opt out of those terms down the line if the worker believes that the terms are no longer suitable for whatever reason.
While the idea of following the rules only when they suit you is a typical component of the leftist worldview, it does not (or should not) hold in contract law or in business. As Gorsuch noted, the law is very clear on this issue. Ginsburg’s belief that this ruling will lead to an erosion of workers’ rights is overstated and misguided, as is the belief that the courts exist to weigh every single dispute between companies and their workers. Moreover, the notion that courts should always side with employees is another component of the leftist outlook that is simply false.
Gorsuch’s ruling was refreshing in that it demonstrated precisely how the Supreme Court should always operate — by examining a case on the merits and respecting the Rule of Law. Ginsburg’s dissent clearly demonstrated all that is wrong with the judiciary. She chose to engage in speculation and tried to create a ruling not based on what the law is but what she believes it should be.

Mr. Steele accused Mr. Page of meeting with high-level Kremlin figures during his July visit to discuss bribes in exchange for sanctions relief. Mr. Page has testified under oath he never met with those two people or discuss bribes with any Russian.
Mr. Steele also said that former campaign manager Paul Manafort and Mr. Page worked together to coordinate the Russia hacking. Mr. Page testified he has never met Mr. Manafort.
There has been no evidence to rebut that testimony. Special counsel Robert Mueller has told Mr. Manafort’s defense lawyer that he has no evidence of his client talking to Russian officials.

For the week ending May 20, Republicans are at 40.7 percent while Democrats have slipped down to 34.5 percent. The survey was of 1,139 respondents and is the first time in the 2018 cycle, dating back to the end of May last year, that Republicans have taken a lead ahead of Democrats in the Reuters tracking poll.

That 15 minutes of fame is getting expensive –
The judgment came after Jason Frank, who used to work at Eagan Avenatti, alleged that that the law firm failed to pay a $4.85 million settlement he had reached in December. He said in court papers that the settlement was personally guaranteed by Michael Avenatti, who has garnered national attention as the attorney for Daniels, the porn actress who is suing President Donald Trump following an alleged 2006 affair.
“At this point, that’s what’s appropriate,” Judge Catherine Bauer said of the $10 million award, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Frank did not immediately return a telephone message seeking comment.
He had worked at Avenatti’s firm under an independent contractor agreement and was supposed to collect 25 percent of the firm’s annual profits, along with 20 percent of fees his clients paid, according to court documents. He resigned in May 2016 after alleging that the firm didn’t pay him millions of dollars that he was owed, misstated the firm’s profits and wouldn’t provide copies of tax returns and other financial documents.
During Tuesday’s hearing, an assistant U.S. attorney said Avenatti had not made a payment that was due last week for unpaid taxes as part of the agreement that was reached in January. Court records show Avenatti had personally agreed to pay about $2.4 million in back taxes and penalties.
Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles, said lawyers from that office represent the government in bankruptcy court when there’s a debt to a government agency, like back taxes or unpaid student loans.

Adrimal Mike Rogers is a friggin honest man hero. By the book. He found some hanky panky with FISA applications…and unmasking. No wonder Carin signed the FISA request and left Dodge the day after he filed with the FISA court….just as Rogers going up to spill the beans to the FISA Court. Who is Mike Dyson?
“You’re doing well but you’re a mean, mad, white man.” —Michael Dyson disparaging Jordan Peterson
    Daily quotes:
“Clinton’s [presidential] bid was saved, not destroyed, by Obama’s law-enforcement agencies, which tanked a criminal case on which she should have been indicted. And the hush-hush approach taken to the counterintelligence case against Donald Trump was not intended to protect the Republican candidate; it was intended to protect the Obama administration from the specter of a Watergate-level scandal had its spying on the opposition party’s presidential campaign been revealed.” —Andrew McCarthy
“There doesn’t seem to be a real concrete intelligence origin for this investigation, and without a foundation, one wonders what did we spend an entire year on? … I spent a year fighting this thing with Ken Starr and I think this thing is just plain wrong and it’s got to be ended and stopped. … We’ve seen that the less [Mueller and his team] come up with, the more they investigate instead of the opposite.” —Mark Penn
