[Well, I guess the big question du jour is whose bygone trysts are the most damning – a previous president's, verified and while in office; or the current president's, alleged and before he took office. The French are laughing their butts off that the puritan Americans, especially the secular humanist progressives, are making such a fuss over it, to the point of impeachability. gjr]

Will Rosie the Pig Riveter spend time in prison? I remember D’Souza was a rising star when they cut his legs out from under him. They had a way of doing that under Obama and the ‘most transparent administration in history.’ It’s only fair that they put Rosie away.
“It seems clear, from what we know, that Rosie broke the law and she broke the law five times,” D’Souza said.
“What makes it particularly sneaky on her part is that she used four different names and five different addresses. It seems clear that she knew what she was doing and she tried to cover her tracks, ” D’Souza added.
Filings show O’Donnell gave a combined $5,400 in contributions over the limit to the five candidates, and used five different New York addresses and four variations of her name, the Post reported.
D’Souza was charged in 2014 for making a $20,000 contribution to Wendy Long’s senate run. He served five years probation and eight months in a confinement center. He was also fined $30,000.
“You exceed the campaign finance limit and the law is the law whether you actually know it or not,” he said.

Global warming wackos are all hat and no cattle when the rubber meets the road =
The “highly concerned” cluster was “most supportive of government climate policies, but least likely to report individual-level actions, whereas the ‘Skeptical’ opposed policy solutions but were most likely to report engaging in individual-level pro-environmental behaviors,” the researchers concluded.
Conducting the study, entitled “Believing in climate change but not behaving sustainably,” were Cornell assistant professor Neil A. Lewis Jr. and University of Michigan researchers Michael P. Hall and Phoebe C. Ellsworth.
The skeptics were the more likely than the “highly concerned” to recycle, use public transportation and reusable shopping bags, and buy eco-friendly products.

“Last year, Pelosi was among those Democratic leaders demanding that Roy Moore, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Alabama, withdraw “We’re talking about a child molester,” Pelosi told NBC News’ Chuck Todd on Meet the Press on November 27.
Pelosi declared that there would now be “zero tolerance” for sexual misconduct in Congress: “Women have spoken out. Their concerns will be addressed in a way that I think will give comfort, as well as end this behavior. … Because you know what? It’s disgusting, it’s repulsive, and it has to be zero tolerance.”
At the time, Pelosi also said there should also be “due process” for Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), who was soon forced to retire over allegations of sexual misconduct.

John McCain’s point of view.
McCain, in his book, reiterated a central criticism: “Chris had asked the State Department for more security for the Benghazi mission [before the attack], but it had been denied.”
McCain said he was “terribly saddened” by the news, but “wasn’t angry with the administration” — at first.
“I started to get angry when it appeared administration officials were knowingly misleading us about the attack, attributing it to a video that some idiot had made mocking Islam that incited a spontaneous mob that turned violent,” McCain wrote. “It took more than a week for the White House to acknowledge it had been a planned terrorist attack. The uproar that ensued became a lasting political controversy that’s still debated.”
In the end, all it established is what could have been presumed at the beginning, bureaucratic incompetence and a– covering, two common conditions in Washington,” McCain wrote. “Anger subsides, politics moves on, but sadness remains. Chris Stevens deserved better from all of us.”
He got that one right. 1 out of 3 ain’t bad.

DB at 8:33 – re the Keith Ellison tee shirt (and many others of the same ilk) – it continues to amaze me how stupid people are. No borders? Really? Have you consulted Canada and Mexico about that? Have any reporters ever, ever asked about the fact that there are 2 countries on the sides of these borders we’re supposed to get rid of and just exactly what do these other sovereign countries have to say about it? You can not ‘get rid of’ a border without it affecting the flow of people and goods both ways.
Like all good left wing slogans, it’s a pile of bull shit. Like ‘reproductive rights’. I don’t care what you think about abortion, but please explain what is ‘reproductive’ about that procedure. ‘Climate change denial’ is another one. Who is denying climate change? No one. No more borders? Really? Say- why don’t you folks that think we shouldn’t have borders go north and try to blow past the friendly folks at the building right there at the 49th parallel?

Excuse me, but there were only 2 people involved that knew what was happening and had the ability and authority to do something about it.
Obama and Clinton.
They both decided to let him die.
Hillary went to bed and Obama flew off for a fund raiser.
Then they cooked up a total lie and did everything they could to sell that lie repeatedly.
There is no debate. We have the first hand account of the men at the scene fighting for their lives in direct communication with their superiors telling them exactly what is happening. They were abandoned by our commander in chief.

Who said the Presidents economic policy is not having an impact –
The federal government took in a record tax haul in April en route to its biggest-ever monthly budget surplus, the Congressional Budget Office said, as a surging economy left Americans with more money in their paychecks — and this more to pay to Uncle Sam.
All told the government collected $515 billion and spent $297 billion, for a total monthly surplus of $218 billion. That swamped the previous monthly record of $190 billion, set in 2001.

Comrade Bernie needs to high tail it down to his paradise before everyone has fled –
The shortage of troops comes as hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans flee a societal collapse, crowding cities and makeshift camps throughout the region in the largest mass emigration in modern Latin American history. Hyperinflation has made the currency virtually worthless, and malnutrition is endemic. Almost 2 million Venezuelans are living outside the country.
High-ranking members of the military are barred from much contact with the lower ranks . Lines of young military men asking for retirement are long, said the first retired officer. The officer tried to chat with one, but officers running the barracks forbade them from talking to each other. The retiree said top officers fear too much conversation will permit officers and enlisted solders to form alliances for a coup.
How much do you want to bet those 2 million expats show up as having voted in person in Caracas, you know like Chicago?

A good read on “cultural Marxism”….vs classic Marxism. Too many nuggets to post, so here is a couple.
Thus, a cultural Marxist like Angela Davis — mentored by Herbert Marcuse — could stand at the Women’s March before a sea of young women in pink hats and recite a litany of popular grievances. In her casting about for victim groups, the former Communist Bloc cheerleader hailed Chelsea Manning, “trans women of color,” “our flora and fauna,” and “intersectional feminism,” and denounced “white male hetero-patriarchy,” misogyny, Islamophobia, and capitalist exploitation.
This is where today’s Marxists in America are toiling hard. They are working diligently on the cultural front. That’s where they are confident they can finally take down Western civilization and its Judeo-Christian bedrock.
and
In closing, consider this striking new term I recently encountered when perusing the latest “About” section of the website of People’s World, successor to the Soviet-funded Daily Worker and the leading mouthpiece of American communism. It singled out a label I hadn’t heard before: “cultural workers.” It states: “Today, People’s World offers a daily news platform for the broad labor-led people’s movement — a voice for workers, the unemployed, people of color, immigrants, women, youth, seniors, LGBTQ people, cultural workers, students and people with disabilities.”
They’re looking not for factory workers but for cultural workers. Forget the factory floor — that project failed long ago. Communists tried to organize the steelworkers, the autoworkers, the teamsters, the coalminers. It didn’t work.

BillT@11:05 The patriotpost article is actually pretty good.
I’ve never been much of a student of Marxism, although as a religion it’s done darned well. It’s always so hard to find straightforward words on things like that instead of wall-to-wall POV.
I’ll grind through a few of these to get the flavor of the thing.
https://www.marxists.org/archive/gramsci/prison_notebooks/selections.htm
It wouldn’t surprise me if the roots of cultural Marxism are simply in the experience of the Russian Civil War. The Bolsheviks had a heckuva time convincing the non-urban working class and peasants to do much of anything, the latter were mostly land hungry but didn’t need outsiders running their affairs. Of course, after the Whites were defeated (not an impossible task given the holding of Moscow and other urban centers, interior lines, and and facing an enemy who couldn’t decide on a single philosophy), there was plenty of opportunity to get those pesky (and often non-Russian) rural people to behave, although I’m not sure that they liked it.
So, in Russia, it was never enough to get the countryside to join up by merely handing out a bit of land, there wasn’t an emotional attachment to the center. It sounds like somebody got smart and thought through the implications of reprogramming a peoples’ emotional ties to groups. Schools, media, non-profits, even churches are a pretty good bet.

As an aside, there’s a scene where a handful of mobsters are waiting for their leader (as opposed to lieder) to start their chat (their business had been all but shut down by the police actions looking for M). Does a single nation (even a small handful of nations) placing an embargo on Iran make any sense? Are they going to “feel the pain?” when they can bank just about anywhere in the world and sell every drop of oil it produces? This looks more like a bully chance to destroy an Obama accomplishment than it seems in any way strategic. The trade war isn’t looking so keen and neither does this.

Iran deal: even though Iran can sell its oil ‘anywhere’, it cannot buy the stuff needed to operate a modern nation ‘anywhere’. That’s where the sanctions come in – to hinder its ability to buy sophisticated parts, equipments, software systems, etc from suppliers who are almost always located in developed nations. And anyone, especially the UN and our progressives, believing that Obama’s agreement stopped Iran’s progress toward ICBM deliverable nukes, is a prime candidate to take title to the Brooklyn Bridge.

“The controversial $400 million payment that the U.S. sent to Iran in January, just as four American hostages were released—a planeload of Euros, Swiss Francs and other currencies—was only the first of three American cash deliveries to the country, the Obama administration reportedly told lawmakers on Tuesday.
During the 19 days following the first shipment, the U.S. sent two more planeloads of cash, totaling $1.3 billion, to Tehran, reports The Wall Street Journal. The two planeloads, which passed through Europe on Jan. 22 and Feb. 5, followed the same route as the earlier payment, a congressional aide who was briefed told the Journal. In the first payment, an Iranian cargo plane picked up the money in Geneva.”

Thanks, first I’ve heard of that bill.
I whiled away a few moments looking for information on government-mandated healthcare costs. I can rather understand the push to do it given the broken free market that a lot of healthcare is mired in, in some ways it’s like the free market that PGE or Waste Management is involved in.
Evidently it was a more common idea than I had thought, tried in a bunch of states, and usually thrown away over time. As a general theory on those matters, my guess is that even a well-intentioned law (and the following commission and 10M pages of regs) results in something that is heavily gamed into weird results. One thing that is always bound to happen is that the government is going to somehow try to pass on the health cost for poor people (and illegal aliens) onto the health users and providers rather than out of a general fund.

Nice try lil’”jon”.. Funny,, you don’t produce anything to back up your BS.
No matter,, keep your head buried good and deep and preform a self colonoscopy. Trump did the right thing. OH.. YES!.. Campaign promise upheld.

jonnieSmith is a moron and uninformed. Obama and Kerry had 1.7 billion in cash delivered in the dead of night and then released the frozen assets of the Iranians to the tune of 150 billion. JonnieS, now do you get it?

“jon”, the money transferred. You can pretend they were unrelated if you want.
Agreement details according to the wiki:
“According to the joint statement in Switzerland, the P5+1 countries and Iran agreed on a framework for a deal. According to this framework, Iran would redesign, convert, and reduce its nuclear facilities and accept the Additional Protocol (with provisional application) in order to lift all nuclear-related economic sanctions, freeing up tens of billions of dollars in oil revenue and frozen assets.”

Boys, lest we forget, we don’t have that much cash hanging around. So, in addition to our cargo plane filled with pallets (plural) of cash, at the same time European banks were loading up their planes with pallets of cash to deliver to the Mullahs.
Step by step, Obama’s legacy is being erased from the chalkboard. It’s like he never existed.
