Bobbie, blah, blah, blah. Yep, just google Conservative Tribute and you will find 20 lib outlets and “fact checkers” decrying CT before you get to the site in question, ROFLMAO. Don’t go there!
1) Concerning the news mostly overlooked yesterday, was the Scotter Libby pardon. Comney appointed his friend (and godfather to the other’s son) Fitzpatrick as Special Counsel. Fitzgerald went to court and proceeded with the charges knowing full well that Scooter was not the source of the leaks to reporter Bob Novak. It was a State Department Deputy who accidentally leaked Valerie Flume’s identify. Flume was a CIA Officer, a desk jockey paper shuffler if you will, NOT a CIA agent. Dumb press, but I digress.
It was a witch hunt to get Cheney. Neither Libby nor the real leaker (no intent) were ever charged with leaking. Ever. Scooter was convicted of lying to the FBI (got dates wrong) and obstruction of justice….lying and obstruction were in practice the same thing in this case.
BTW, A judge upon review found the Goverment’s actions against Scooter so egregious that the court reinstated his license to practice law.
“The case would be have been long forgotten except for the thuggish prosecutorial conduct of Fitzgerald. He cornered officials in testimony from recollections, and pitted small, inconsequential timing differences against one another. At the outset, Fitzgerald interrogated Robert Novak, who at the time did not reveal his sources, of which one was Richard Armitage. Fitzgerald also put New York Times journalist Judith Miller behind bars for 85 days to ferret out her sources on stories related to national security. Among those she revealed, after weeks in confinement, was Libby. Miller hadn’t even written about Plame.
Libby was never even charged with leaking Plame’s identity or, indeed, leaking any classified information.
But during his trial, and based on conflicting testimony generated by Fitzgerald, Libby was ensnared. Fitzgerald caught him in conflicts over the timing of specific knowledge and the use of precise wording. Libby’s colleagues were instructed to give testimony about what he knew and when. With no evidence that he had anything to do with the underlying offense….
https://www.weeklystandard.com/the-editors/president-trump-did-the-right-thing-in-pardoning-scooter-libby
Another FYI: The NYT reporter jailed by Fitzgerald (Judith Miller) stated afterwards that Fitzgerald screwed Libby over to the max by skewering her testimony.
From Judith Miller:
“So why would I be pleased with Libby’s pardon? Because after leaving jail and investigating the case, I unearthed information that convinced me not only that my testimony was in error, but that Libby was the victim of an overzealous prosecutor whose investigation should have ended before it began. I described my findings in a 2015 memoir about high-stakes journalism, The Story, A Reporter’s Journey.
https://www.city-journal.org/html/belated-justice-scooter-libby-15848.html
I know, the hate mob doesn’t give a flying gluck about truth, justice, or fairness. Libby lied!, Libby lied, Libby LIED! Go pound sand before I smash your face in, dearest Bobbie.

Muller can kiss his sit down with Trump good bye.
“the raid, which many see as a mixture of prosecutorial overreach and desperation, has scrambled negotiations. The chances of Trump’s sitting down with a special counsel, who is obviously out of control and working way outside his stated mission to investigate collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, are probably nil.
Moreover, Mueller’s disastrous stunt gives Trump cover with the public to not sit down with Mueller. By all accounts, the FBI’s raid on Michael Cohen is centered on Trump’s personal sex life, including, for some bizarre reason, the Access Hollywood tape and the perfectly legal non-disclosure agreement signed by a porn star and Playboy bunny who claim to have had consensual affairs with Trump more than a decade ago.”
Keep wishing “jon”. Still waiting on just what crime was committed.. You have yet to say just what it is.

For an interesting read, a look at Mueller’s stellar record. No, not about the guy who Meuller destroyed his life (and never once apologized to) for wrongfully claiming he was the Anthrax mailer and investigated for 4 years, or the next guy in line in Meuller’s crosshairs he trashed who actually was working with the FBI trying to solve the Anthrax case…nah, that is common knowledge. How about the case Meuller ran so well that the US taxpayers had to pay the victims of Meuller 100 MILLION DOLLARS, two of whom died in prison.

This is over Paul’s ignoring my question regarding the sample populations identified by LV, RV and A that the RCP poll aggregator uses to quantify how many of what kind of people were the numbers based upon.
Paul had inquired about how I took the Rasmussen poll results over the blended results of all polls at RCP. I answered that perhaps it has to do with the approach to tallying the answers they get.
Let’s give Paul a boost… the ‘A’. That’s All. Anybody. Man, woman, something neither. Adult, child. No effort to discern the person’s voter registration status, or status (citizen, legal immigrant, visitor, illegal.
Now, Paul… that leaves LV and RV for you.

Paul Ryan.
I have been most critical of Paul Ryan, but I will give him credit where credit is due. His issue, the one closest to his heart, has been entitlement reform. Not throwing Mama from the train (as the Left always paints the issue), but to save SSI and other programs. It’s no secret that SSI withholdings no longer pay for the program and now we are taking income tax revenue to cover the shortfall.
Even something like tweaking the COLA is considered akin to laughing at people dying in the streets….with a most sinister McScrouge laugh indeed, all the way to the bank to count piles of ill gotten gain.
I may disagree with Ryan on some issues, but the Lefties take it to a whole new sewer.
“O’Donnell added: “Paul Ryan will take his seat as simply the worst of this country’s speakers of the House of Representatives” and placed him below a “pedophile” and those who were “slave-owning.”
The New York Times theoretically conservative columnist Bret Stephens told MSNBC that Ryan’s refusal to resign to protest Trump “is going to be a stain on his political reputation forever.”….quote, bquote.

When was the last time Pubbers even pretended to listen to a Dem suggestion? Our Congress no longer has the capacity to listen, much less compromise with an opposing party. It’s all or nothing. Remember those Supreme Court nomination hearings under O? Neither do I. Dems did the same to Bush, so I’m not blaming parties, I’m blaming a broken system. The way Congress treats themselves so differently than their constituents (they are happy with their private retirement, health care and free postage stamps) should piss all of off. jonnie boy smith at 5:49 – squawk, squawk, squawk – you were asked a question, dude.
What answer does the left have for the coming day when there’s no money left in the till?
We’ve already had this dance with CalPers. No problem, no problem – “you’re just attacking the poor state workers” – then: OMG!!!!!!!!!!
Stern voice over: “The governor and the legislature are addressing the ‘potential’ shortfall in the CalPers retirement system……..”
So – there was ‘no problem’ until after a few years they ‘addressed’ the problem.
That didn’t exist.
So.
How does the left propose to address the problem of entitlements and pre-promised goodies we don’t have the money to pay for?
We already know that soon we can completely eliminate the entire defense budget and still be tits up with our finances.

“Remember those Supreme Court nomination hearings under O? Neither do I.”
I do. Here’s a sample … do you remember Sotomayor being asked about this comment from her past: “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”
I also remember Elena Kagan’s hearings, but she managed to evade controversy.
Both Sotomayor and Kagan got GOP votes in the Senate. Not perfect, but some support from across the aisle.

Was it Sotomeyer that as Obama’s Solicitor General that had the perfect record of 0-9 defending the Administration in front of the Supreme Court? Nary one win, not one leg to stand on, losing some by a SCOTUS vote of 9 to zip. Oh yes, another Harvard Law Journal friend of Barry. Or was that Kagan? I get the two confused.
Anyway, they got confirmed. Kinda wish they had more experience, but technically, you never have had to serve as a judge or be a lawyer to quakify for SCOTUS……

I am depressed. My 1120pm was a minor troll to get someone to remind me about the Garland nomination that was left twisting in the wind, but perhaps “jon” was upset that they were sloppy in their claim about no “nomination hearings”.
Garland did deserve better and would have had an easy time sliding through the Senate had he been nominated earlier… instead of Kagan or Sotomayor. As a replacement for Scalia, in the midst of an election season already in motion, it was a good call to declare the Senate would not be acting and would follow the rules laid down by Schumer and Biden when they were lions of the Senate that a late term SCOTUS vacancy should be left for the next President to fill.
One vacant seat for the SCOTUS does not cripple it. Even two… which was the case for a time at the end of His Accidency’s term, when the Whig John Tyler (who is remembered by most Americans from the campaign slogan, “Tippecanoe and Tyler, too”) who was abandoned by the Whigs dominating the Senate when they realized just how bad the former Vice President was after President Tippecanoe (Harrison) died a month after his inauguration. What Tyler did for the country is (1) the VP really does get the full powers of a President if they die in office, and (2) convinced all that VP nominees could become President and so make the nomination with that in mind.
We’ll let the next president nominate for this(these) seat(s), thank you very much. Schumer and Biden knew they had the power to refuse to consider a SCOTUS nomination when they were in the Senate majority, and it was pure demagogy for them (and Obama) to taunt the GOP Senate to “do their job and hold hearings”. They did their job, giving the advice that they would not be considering any SCOTUS nomination in the Senate until the next president was sworn in.

Todd, I don’t think inquiring about the driver charged with at least 6 felonies immigration status is racist. As far as I know, immigration status is not a race, but a legal and federal statue term to separate illegal aliens (the statues’ terminology) from those who are lawful residents or citizens. Illegal alien is not a race, as neither is Mexican or Canadian or Scottish a race.
Racist was just an overused charge used by many, including Thai to put you in the sub-human class and end all debate. Like, what are you supposed to do with that? The normal reaction is to protest, saying you are not a racist and claim to have a black friend or co-worker. I got tired of that game. Now I say I am not a racist…I have a couple of white friends, one of which I allowed in the house.
I suppose Thai could have used xenophobic, but she really meant to call you a Deplorable knuckledragging redneck inbred wife beating misognyistic Putin cuddling privileged bigoted low IQ uneducated earth destroying White Devil. But, racist is a bigger offense than just being a run of the mill Colonialist and a lot shorter, duh.
You know,I was thinking the same thing in light of all these stories on the web lately about Americans being killed by illegal alien drunk drivers.. Don’t know if it is a spike, or just the 24/7 Internet news that makes it seem that illegals are doing a lot of hit and runs and leaving dead Americans in their wake. Who knows? MSM won’t touch that hot potato. We do know than in CA alone, there are over 2,000 illegal aliens sitting in our CA State Prison system alone for the conviction of the charge of homicide, as well 94% of all non-Nationals in Federal custody are here illegally…er…not here lawfully.
To be honest. at first class glance of the accused picture, I thought Phillipino or SE Asian. Must be those high cheekbones. Or maybe I am a racist as well as you, you White Devil you. As they say in Trinidad and Tobago, “kill Y-T.”
What First was a low rumble became a loud angry chant of “Y-T, Y-T, Y-T” which rang in a buddy’s ears as he was chased out of a movie theather through the side exit and ran for his life down the street with a very agitated mob on his tail. They are saying “Kill Y-T” in the formerly vibrant country of South Africa lately as well. Never asked my buddy how was the movie…he did not stick around more than 5 minutes after sitting down. Must be a local custom or something. Maybe a cultural thang, but I digress.

The BLM narrative fails again –
Ross said the officers “followed policy” and did what they were supposed to do.
“These officers did absolutely nothing wrong,” he said.
Ross, who is black, said the department makes sure that officers receive “implicit bias training.”
“I will say, that as an African-American male, I am very aware of implicit bias,” Ross says in the Facebook video. “We are committed to fair and unbiased policing and anything less than that will not be tolerated in this department.”
The city’s top cop added that there was a case involving a Philadelphia officer who went to Starbucks who was also denied access to the restroom, even though he was in full uniform.
“They are at least consistent in their policy,” Ross said.

BillT you have it right. These folks that scream racist if you simply ask a question must have something to hide. And her Facebook page is quite telling. But perhaps she has made the cut and is a success? No out of wedlock kids by three different dads? No grants from welfare, section 8 or gas money. I hope so. But I could be wrong and she is all that. Anyway, I just tell dolts like her to pound sand. I have no white guilt and am proud of America and my forefathers. Well and mothers too. LOL!

Darn, it hate that when that happens. Must be BDS triggered by the recent the attack on Syria because of WMD. She was the first FOTUS to appear on the one dollar bill and look how they treat her. I always liked Barbara. I remember the time when the press was praising our new First Lady (in comparison to Nancy) for being an open nice down to earth motherly unpretentious woman, when Barbara graciously responded to the press that while she appreciates all the flattery, “she wished they would stop calling her frumpy.”

Todd,
No, it’s not because you asked a question. It’s because they see racism behind every bush, around every corner, down every corridor, and…heck, they see it everywhere, in everything, and to them, it is indeed everything. The First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. At least they are trying to teach us about our subconscience racism, but I think some of them are being racists for assuming I am a racist. Skunk smells his own first. Darn it, , did I just assume a skunk’s gender? Does that make me a homophobe, sexists, or just plain a basket full of ad thinking the ole beyond the pale…..not fit for polite society….or as Diamonds and Silk found out. maybe I am a threat to the community. Your question definitely was a threat to Thai’s “community.”
I dunno. Sometimes when I listen to them, I feel like the monkey who humped the skunk, ie, the monkey may not got all he might have, but got all he could stand. Somethings when conversing with a young SJW, I feel like replying that right now at this moment I identify as a woman and promptly leave a big foul Lincoln Log in their “ladies room”.
All that aside, it’s the victim mentality. Somebody has to be a victim here. Without the victim class(es), there is no social justice, thus they have no self identity. Lost themselves when they sold their souls to the comfort and safety of the herd. The nail that stands up will get pounded down. Thai perhaps identifies with the accused group, thus rushes to defend her, you racist you. Or maybe she is “without papers.” Maybe not. Whatever, you are not allowed to go there. Do not go there. Stop. Cease. Stop it right now! Racist.
“What does the accused immigration status (if not a National) has to do with anything?” Well, a hell of a lot. Unlike guns, when a drunk or loaded or impaired driver crosses the center divide of a freeway and kills two our our youth with alcohol on her breath, we blame the driver, not the car. Society blamed Heidi Hall, not her car..and she, not her vehicle, owes a debt to society.
I feel sad for all involved, including the driver’s parents.
