I will fall into the trap. Concerning our out in left field far alt-Left “news director”, it’s pretty simple. He wakes up every day for years on end with one thing in mind, ie, to throw punches at conservatives, R’s, the right. That’s it. No other reason or purpose. Does not matter who is Prez, what the issue is, just to slam the Right.
Waste of time to point out anything the Left does wrong or embraces, or discredited policies. Just stick it to the Right. Period. Obsessed with it. No other purpose. If you point out crime, corruption, or anything along those lines that involve the Left or its actions, it matters not. There is no common ground. Just throw dirt and slime. That is all he has.
I had to laugh when Punchy spent days on the Logan Act. Nevermind it has never been envolked in our Nation’s history because it would clearly be declared unconstitutional. It not the Logan Act or Melinia’s shoes, It’s grasping at straws.
No use pointing out anything. It’s not about defending Obama or Hillary or Jerry Brown or anything like that. It is just all about being driven by hate, hate, hate. Hate, like pride, is a prison that blinds. Hate is having blinders on. That is why the “libertarian” can defend the erosion or civil liberties, defend Big Bro watching you without warrants, be OK with ever increasing violations of the 1st Amendment on college campuses or….well, you get the point. He has sold his soul to hate. It controls him, and he is trapped.
On a lighter note, I once said he lives in a shithole abode. I have no idea if that is true or not and I don’t care to find out. Have no idea and it certainly does not matter. I just threw it out there into the darkness for kicks. Let it eat at him. The news director came back (not once, but twice) out of the blue with “Time to exercise my 2nd Amendment Rights”, lol. That tells me when he feels threatened, real or imagined, his first reaction is to go out and get a gun, despite all the anti-gun rhetoric and sliming the NRA. That says it all.
Well, Gregory is a perceptive man. This skit Gregory recommended fits Punchy to a tee. It’s not about issues, it’s all about winning a stupid senseless agruments at all costs. It’s become a waste of time to discuss issues of importance that affects all of us in the Sandbox. Its all about being a flamer, grabbing a sharp stick, and stabbing anything R.
The only way to win that game is not to play. I am done. Thank goodness there are non Sandbox topics here.

True. That spending bill makes me sick to my stomach to this hour and hours to come. Yes, but folks like Laura Ingrahm and Savage and Levin and even Beck laid into the Republicans in the Legislative Branch more than I would ever share on these pages…. I wanted Trump to exnay the bill because I saw absolutely no down side to vetoing it and no upside to signing it. Sickening.
I always said (since the early primaries) that with Trump we may get The Wall and single payer. Problem solver, not a political or ideolog like Obama. And if we could get 3 out of ten promises fulfilled on the wishlist, I would be tickled pink.
Drain the swamp means charity begins at home. My side of the street needs some sweeping, while beating back the rats from the Blue side. Keeps me busy. Clear our side of the street first is good in theory, but like every game plan, it may out the window After the first 4 snaps.
Take Lyndsey Graham. He is creaming his jeans in glee running around in anticipation of blowing up every air base and runway in Syria and leveling the place. The difference between Graham and me is one has seen the horrors of war, and the other as not. The other difference is one of us never did anything his whole life but try to tear down any border fences and the other has not. One is a Neo-Con. Some have to go, some should go but won’t, and …….I am not the boss of anybody, nor King of the World. In the long run, my opinion only matters to me.
There are many great Republicans and we don’t have to agree. I look at deficit spending and know, despite Paul Krugman’s beliefs, it ain’t good for America and we are mortgaging our nation’s future. But, I did not hear anyone from either party make balancing the budget a campaign issue. Yep, I love Rand Paul and miss Al Simpson from Wy. Sometimes it’s pragmatism over ideology, Put America First is a good enough guiding principle. And the spending bill included upping our money we contribute to NATO. Sovereignty does not mean isolation.
Like the Tea Party, got my sites on the Establishment and will continue to do so with a longer view in mind. They built the Great Wall of China one stone at a time.Trump is my bull in the China shop. It’s when he is at his best and precedes things getting done. And, what once seemed unsolvable, we may be on the cusp of solving North Korea, the one way street unfair trade policies with Red China, and minimizing ISIS for now. The real threat to the Middle East is Iran. The word Iran translated from Persian meaning “Aryan.”, FYI. Israel will never allow Iranian soldiers in Syria. They know the threat, thus the air strikes. It ain’t only about poison gas. It’s about survival. Thus, Trump.

The Tea Partyers just don’t have the numbers, akin to the true “liberals” who just don’t have the numbers on a coast to coast basis. Bernie Bros. did not have the numbers either.
Interesting topic Scenes once touched on and on my mind: Our bubble, our prespective from our speck on the planet here in a blue county in CA, with low crime rates, super majority Caucasian, no drive by shootings or gangs owning neighborhood turf, no SJWs surrounding the taco wagon parked in the Growers Market and literally driving them out of business cause the small proprietor is Korean or non Mexican and did the unforgivable crime of doing the cultural appropriation thang. It would be different if we lived next to a university, albeit we are not that far away from a real city with real problems on a massive scale.
I wonder when the day comes and the Nevada City council decides its time to remove all gender pronouns from the city books….who will consider how much that will cost the city and then problems arise by changing words in all of the ordinances and historical district rules that may be a violation because that would be technically changing the wording of a law or ordinance without going through the established procedures……that day is coming, but since we don’t see it here, it’s a non-issue. It spreads from the campuses throughout government and any larger employer quite quickly. as we can attest to.
So, Left and Right here do live in Mayberry, RFD (and want to keep it that way) where the kids can leave the bikes in the front yard everyday all day, when the small town feel is preserved, where all the bars are like Cheers where everybody knows your name, where the mailman greets you with a big smile and pauses to chit chat about how have you been doing like the grocery checker does, despite others waiting patiently in line behind you. We have our time wrap. far away from the big city lights and problems on a big scale. Ugly problems, often too painful to gaze upon. Not a bad life here.
But, we are in CA here and observe things through the liberal lens. You can get arrested if you are a waitress who offers me a plastic straw without me asking, yet go steal less than 699.00 of stuff and you get a ticket. But, that does not happen here. We are so far away from where the stink is, we are in our own bubble. A Blue bubble. Quite Progressive.
With all that babble said, I had to be remindered the other night if you toss out CA, Trump won the majority vote. I was dumbfounded to hear that. It floored me. I forgot that reality check. I forgot that my side is not some weird little fringe coo-coo for coco puffs extremists…..nay, from coast to almost the Left coast, the majority of voters choose Trump. Wow. I forgot that. It seems unfathomable now reading the current news and on blogs. Sure, we don’t count only 49 states, but it was a big reality check for me. I can easily see many voting D for their local Comgressperson, and voting for Trump again in 2020….if he makes it that long. 🙂
When I was a town drunk, I got once got sent to drunk school. The class head said that the majority of Americans consume one or less drinks containing alcohol a year. Granny doing a toast at the wedding and such. No way! I could even not wrap my head around that. Everyone I knew drank like me, a falling off the bar stool drunk who lives solely to get sideways. I knew one guy (a friend for decades) who did drink, so why would I ever go to his house if he didn’t have booze on hand?. If I did, I would not stay long. My world was everyone thought like me and that’s where I placed my being.
My prespective was wrong. That was not what reality was. When I got sober, people stopped coming around and I got isolated from my “kind”. I did not feel abandoned or butthurt in the least. I knew they would not come over and hang out anymore if I had nothing they really desired…booze. Someone to get wasted with. My perceptive changed only when I got out of the bubble.
The Tea Party (of which I deeply sympathies with, but never considered myself a member) will metamorphose into some other form….. That part of the “Republican Party, like he Conservative Wing, just does not have the numbers. 3 out of 10 would be great, with SCOTUS, SCOTUS, SCOTUS already done.
Calexit? Wonder what Lincoln would do, lol.

Wimps refusing the conversation? Not at all. There has been no conversation, per se, refused on RR. A conversation is an exchange of ideas and counters that stick to the established point until it is resolved. It is not the spontaneous refusal to counter, but instead abandon the thread, skitter away to another topic, and then do that repeatedly when others (mistakenly) attempt to join that game of hopscotch. Now I wonder who in these comment streams has raised that to a fine art.

Russia and China. Trump is being pushed big time into war with Syria and perhaps Russia. Ok, another destroyed nation that will be one big mess to clean up (if even possible) and the potential breeding ground for more terrorism, civil strife, and chaos.
Yes, Putin should be spanked for meddling with our elections and playing the bad boy role in the world. Not tolerable. With that said, why no talk of launching attacks n China. Maybe the fact that China dwarfs Russia (GNP about the size of NYC) in power, economy, military might, and meddling. What, 50 MILLION government worker personell files with all their personal data, addresses, fanily member info, etc, (and contractors for good measure) stolen by China and that is met with crickets? Sure, two wrongs don’t make a right, but come on. Are we really going to satisfy the cry for revenge on Putin and his buddy Assad by launching a full out war? I hope not. Let the punishment fit the crime.
Glad to see that Trump may delay and consider what measured response should be, with no timetable. Think carefully, Mr. Trump. You were not elected to drag us into another Mid East war…unless there are no other options. Don’t listen to the Liberal war mongers or the Neo Cons, please.

To say someone committed a crime is just an accusation unless their is a trial and conviction so in answering your question I say that Trump has committed no crime. Neither has Hillary for that matter. Mueller is investigating the whole Russia thing so until he has completed his investigation there are no crimes committed. Of course Flynn has pleaded guilty so he has committed a crime. Can we agree on that. There have been a few other guilty pleas as well.

Ryan Zinke has graciously backed off his attempt to almost double entrance fees to some national parks and heritage sites and will now only increase them by five bucks. This is necessary for upkeep and repairs he says.

The God Emperor Trump has quite the effect on the guilty fighting for their lives. They act like they will all face the noose if they can’t take out my little man with a Twitter Machine first. Especially Brennan….and Clapper…and……the gasping of drowning men fighting for their lives.

Sometimes I think that Trump is a singular genius. Wins the office with 10% of the money, and is now nearly single handedly taking on the DNC’s Operation Gladio. Imagine how alone the guy must feel sometimes, but he keeps on keepin’ on. Even if he fails, the effort is one for the ages.
