I have no regards for Ted Nugent, preferring other lyricists and other bands, but I suppose “Cat Scratch Fever” had a beat and you could dance to it if you were the sort who wanted to dance to that sort of thing.
However, I bear him and his music no ill will and anyone who has kept that sort of gig going over that many decades is obviously connecting to people.
That said, Paul’s choice to treat Nugent’s politically incorrect metaphoric speech literally, and misquoting him to boot, is Paul’s way to punch his rhetorical opponents. The only way to win that game is to not play the game.

Has anyone else noticed, or is it only me who has not seen any leftwing commenter here singing the praises of California? Look back in these comment streams during the reign of Obama. The Left took every opportunity to promote and be the apologist for all those programs that were supposed restore CA to its former days of glory. Now none of them want to talk about it – better to look at national polls and count retiring Repub congress critters. Can you imagine what America would be like if the progressives get their wish to make the country into a one-party state? It would give new meaning to shithole.

1) What grabbed my paulssy about the article was it is not immigration that is the problem, it is the wrong kind of immigration. Immigration in CA is a negative sum game. It is not diversity that is a problem,, but the skewed quantity and quality of diversity that makes CA (and CA public education) a shithole.
What Wayne Allen Root omitted in his article is the new Quality of Life Survey just came out. We rank dead last in the 50 State QofL survey. Bottom of the barrel for quality of life. Hard to argue against not only is CA a Shithole, it’s the biggest Shithole in the USA.

Is it just me, or has anyone else’s eyebrows raise when each and every time we mention pulling back in Syria, a sudden chemical attack happens and we are pulled right back in. Chemical weapon attacks to jump in with both feet, or chemical weapon attacks to keep us there. This last one happened as soon as Trump announced he would like to get out of that Shithole.
No way for me to ever know for sure, but I have seen conflicting reports that make me wonder if the some of these reports and usage of chemical weapons on civilians are not in reality being used by those fighting against the regime. Not talking about the latest chemical weapon attack in the Damascus suburbs (were ISIS has a pocket stronghold), but the previous cases.
Whatever is truth or fiction, there is no doubt there are some neo-cons, Democrats, and Deep State operatives that are hell bent on staying in Syria no matter what. Complex geo-political issue, but the timing of always of gas attacks appears to be the same, aka, a reason to stay, a reason to get involved. It’s like the ace up one’s sleeve dropped on the table right before the other players are ready to cash in the chips.
In related news, London may be banning home deliveries of corrosive liquids like bleach to counter this year already.
