Here’s a thing he wrote (or one of his lawyer servants) that I ran into in a suit against the Washington Redskins:
“Pro Football’s team is popularly known as the Washington ‘Redskins,’ but the Court will refrain from using the team name unless reference is made to a direct quote where the name appears.” Instead, he wrote, the team will be referred to as “the Washington Team.”
The virtue signaling runs strong with this one.
It sure would be nice to find judges that merely applied the law, and in the cases where the law wasn’t clear either bumped it up the chain or went directly to the Constitution.
To be fair, that’s never been the case. The Right might tend to appoint originalist judges but not always. The Left will always stuff people into those positions who just wing it with the flavor of the day.

The Orange County California Board of Supervisors voted to join Attorney General Jeff Sessions lawsuits against California and out nutty Governor and his sidekick Xavier the State AG. Watched an interview with Ms. Steel, a Board member. She is Korean and has an accent. The left and the democrats called her a racist and a bigot for her Resolution on trying to protect her constituents. The left is so unhinged.
In Sacramento, the blacks are protesting the killing of a young man, a ex-felon who was bashing car windows and trying to steal stuff. A helicopter pinpointed him and cops gave chase. When he tried and failed to enter one house he jumped a fence and ended in his grandparents’ backyard. The dops, one black, one white, told him to cease and show his hands. He turned and they saw what they thought was a gun. They pumped twenty shots out and killed him. Not a good day for anyone. So the blacks of Sacramento blocked I_5 and twice have blocked the entrance to patrons of Kings games. And the brother of the man killed took over the City Council meeting even jumping up on the dais. What a mess for that sanctuary city!

1). Fakenews: CNN claims donations to the NRA has tripled since Feb 14, Valentine’s Day. That number seems low. Can’t believe CNN.
2). John Paul Roberts’s recent statement about the 2nd Amendment is a gift dropped from heaven in our laps. They got smoked out. Yes, they really do want to take away our guns….as if we did not already know that, duh. At least they dropped the pretense of “We are not going after your guns, silly. Just the scary looking military ones.” John Paul Stevens gave them the green light to say what they really want to do with guns….and the entire 2nd Amendment.
