The wall shenanigans have cracked me up lately. Basically, they are replacing sections of existing wall with better walls. Of course, you get tons of environmental and human rights lawsuits as a result.
Mind you, all they are doing is replacing a section.
One of the great joys to me in this whole modern political climate is to watch the Green Libertarians actually show their true philosophy in terms of borders and illegal aliens. For years I’ve heard about how ‘Obama rounded up more aliens than Bush’ while ignoring the changes in definition that made this possible. Another favorite of mine was ‘why don’t you bother the employers instead of the illegals!’. ‘All we are asking for is one last amnesty’.
Now with Trump as President, it turns out there was no interest in borders at all. If someone sneaks in, they get to stay. If you bother an employer, there are protests and bought/paid for judges to step in. More border security or physical barriers? Protest, lawsuit. Increasing US population causing more greenhouse gas production or other pollution? No problem. We need moar and moar people, preferably from one small part of the world.
Diversity is our strength after all, especially if you bring in millions of people who act in a self-interested tribal manner.

It’s funny how rich the firearms ecosystem really is. I don’t doubt that it’s cheaper to do small runs of machined or cast parts of this type than it used to be.

That tends to happen with someone who has money.
Ya’ see Paul, I have a different take on job work.
I had an employer who gave me every crappy and difficult job that came in. I really got sick of it and finally ask “why the hell you pick’n on me?”
His answer sure shut me up and I had a whole new take on the situation. He said, ” I know I can count on you to do the job.”
That’s why I was working when others were not.
