Interesting choice for Trump’s campaign manager. Data guy. Never ran a campaign before, but tireless worker. 6’ 8” or something like that….easy to spot in a crowd. 🙂
Didn’t My Ga put all her eggs in one basket by goingall in with data guys for her Campaign in 2016? They never even polled the Blue Wall for the last 3 weeks of her campaign. Bubba warned her, Bubba said something don’t feel right. They must have known something was up the way Obama and his lovely bride hit Philly and Fla hard during the closing hours. Might explain the timelines for the FISA request in the 3-4 weeks leading up to Election Day. Insurance policy? Data guys said hitting the pavement knocking on doors and leaving door hangers was sooooo old school. Data guys.
Still, interesting pick by Trump.

Oh jon.
For your pleasure. Data guys ran Hillary’s campaign. Yes, Podesta was at the helm, but she leaned on manager Robby Mook above anybody, including seasoned politicans’ advice, including Bubba’s inate intuitive skills. As mentioned above, Rook did not feel it was necessary to do state internal polls in WI, MI, Penn, others three weeks out as the boots on the ground were screaming, “Hey, we need a little help over here.” That may explain my skeptism over too heavily of a reliance on algorithms and data to the exclusion of what your eyeballs and ears to the ground are telling ya. Something don’t smell right thangs.
Guess it isn’t the data, it’s the interpretation of the data. Worked great for Obama, but was not transferable to Hillary. There was a wildcard in the race, i.e., a non politician. Data and demographics and tried and true conventional wisdom had no answer to a celebrity canadate. Data and all reasoned projections went out the window.
Still, Trump’s choice for VP was a good one and maybe a doer and thinker outside of the box will be a great choice for campaign manager, data guy not withstanding. Time will tell. Heck, Kellyanne ran a small polling company and she became the first woman to head a successful presidential campaign. Go figure.
The last part of my earlier post was saying what I have a sneaky suspicion about. The Intel community knew in October that the tide was shifting to Trump, despite MSM broadcasting Trump having a 3-29% chance of winning, when 29% was considered a anomaly outlier a month out. Intel knew, thus the big push in late September early October for them to release statements about Russian hacking before the second debate and the scrabble to get a FISA warrant. This paragraph has yet to be proved, but it’s what I believe with the infor I have at this moment in time.
Boy that was an easier read, Bro Little jon.

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will…
My rifle and I know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit…
My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will…
Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until victory is America’s and there is no enemy, but peace!

Yes they were upholding the Second Amendment under your definition
I have no definition of the 2nd amendment. There is a definition of the 2nd amendment under law that is subject to much debate.
Nevertheless your contention was that the Black Panthers met the definition of an unorganized militia….and regardless of what happened after….the non-felons of the Panthers did indeed meet the requirement under the following:
The question is that did they have the right to arm themselves under the interpretation of the 2nd Amendment supported by participants of this blog. Under that interpretation I contend they do. As George would put it it’s the price of freedom.

My, my. I am surprised that no one is yapping about this. Yes, we can detain certain immigrants as long as it takes to prove they are not in the country illegally and even legal residents until they can prove they could not be deported. Ninth Circuit overruled again, 5-3.
“Alito said the dissent “evidently has a strong stomach when it comes to inflicting linguistic trauma.” He argued that the statue clearly states that asylum seekers and others “shall be detained” while their claims are adjudicated.

There are an estimated 15 million AR-15s in circulation in the USA. If we ban them all because one might be used in a murder, should not we apply the same logic and deport all illegal aliens because one might committ murder? There are currently 2,300 illegals in CA alone sitting in our State Prison System convicted of the crime of homicide. How many more must die at the hands of illegals? When will the killing stop? Do something!

(a side note, AK47 and AK-47 both work properly in shopping search. AR15/AR-15 do not)
That’s actually a good point, why shouldn’t Google selectively choose what to show us? It’s a private company after all.
The problem is that if you have a big part of the web, and arguably the most important part (search) make up what is essentially a monopoly, they can shade your entire view of the world. Some executive (or a mere programmer) at Google can gaslight you in any way they please.
Something like selective deletion of the AR-15 is a pretty crude thing (if search equals AR-15, go to show nothing), but I can see how this can be done in a much more sophisticated fashion. Given the current strong bias in web companies towards Green Libertarian viewpoints, I realize that a lot of people simply don’t care about this kind of thing. It’s a dangerous (maybe the most dangerous) slope.
I can understand Google’s problem in search given the ability to game naive solutions, but they’ve wandered off the reservation some time ago and towards a sort of corporate bias.
If you want the web to be run by one political party, you are a long way towards that. Under the covers, google search and youtube are both beginning to represent a single belief system.
