   Sad day today. Sorrowful. . Just don’t see how we can legislate evil and don’t have to explain our rights. The shooter obviously was not a NRA member. BTW, the guy in the bushes who shot two cops….well, they just changed his buddy for accessory to murder or some murder charge because the buddy let the shooter take his gun. No law would have stopped stupid. But really, how do you legislate evil?
   Heck, they already threw vets, white males, white rural males, Christians, and all Tea Party (balanced budget types) in the Basket of Mentally Ill and the rest are irredeemable flag waving domestic terrorists. Maybe you can take away their guns on the insanity angle. Unfortunately, they just don’t seem to fit the profile of the Sandy Hook kid who shot his Mom in the face with her own gun and then went hunting down at the kindergarten, or the 19 year old today. or the Pulse Shooter, nor even the profile of the Bernie volunteer who went out and tried to assaiate members of Congress. Imagine if he would have got 6 R’s. One good long shot from a handgun through a fence across a ball field took him down. That is my kind of woman.

    George 9:10: The messenger is as much a part of the equation as the message. How does one trust the message of a biased messenger other than to put in context as biased and, therefore, unreliable as it relates to the truth. The problem arises when people choose the messages of biased messengers over the truth because they tell the receiver what they want to hear rather than what is true. This, of course. leads to conflict which is baseless and contrived and, as intended, confusing and obfuscating, thus achieving the goal of the messenger.. to hide the truth. So when information is presented from a disgraced source as D’Souza it runs off the backs of the informed like water off a duck and only serves to further discredit the argument of those who use such sources.

    Here BoobieC read some truuth and see why we on the right respect the military. The pussies of the left are wearing their vagina hats and protesting males. This is from a Facebook posted by a female friend who I am honored to know, Robin Cayton/Sutherland.
    On 2 May 1968, a 12 man SOG team was surrounded by about 1,000 NVA. They dug in and tried to hold them off, but were not going to last long. MSG Roy P. Benavidez heard their distress call over a radio and boarded a rescue helicopter with first aid equipment. He did not have time to grab a weapon, so he voluntarily jumped into the hot LZ armed only with his knife. He sprinted across 75 meters of open terrain through withering small arms and machine gun fire to reach the pinned down team. By the time he reached them, he had been shot 4 times, twice in the right leg, once through both cheeks, which knocked out four molars. He ignored these wounds and began administering first aid. The rescue chopper left as it was not designed to extract men. An extraction chopper was sent for, and Benavidez took command of the men by directing their fire around the edges of the clearing in order to facilitate the chopper’s landing. He was wounded severely, but still carried and dragged half of the wounded men to the chopper.
    The enemy fire got worse, and Benavidez was hit in the left shoulder. He got back up and ran to the platoon leader, dead in the open, and retrieved classified documents. He was then shot in the abdomen, and a grenade detonated nearby peppering his back with shrapnel. The chopper pilot was mortally wounded then, and his chopper crashed. The MSG ran to the wreckage and got the wounded out of the aircraft, and arranged them into a defensive perimeter to wait for the next chopper. The NVA was building up to wipe them out, and Benavidez called in tactical air strikes and threw smoke to direct the fire of arriving gunships. Just before the extraction chopper landed, he was shot again in the left thigh while giving first aid to a wounded man. He still managed to get to his feet and carry some of the men to the chopped, directing the others, when an NVA soldier rushed from the woods and clubbed him over the head with an AK-47. This caused a skull fracture and a deep gash to his left upper arm, and yet he still got back up and decapitated the soldier with one swing of his knife. He then resumed carrying the wounded to the chopper and returning for others, and was shot twice more in the lower back. He shot two more NVA soldiers who were trying to board the chopper, then made one last trip around the LZ to be sure all documents were retrieved, and finally boarded the chopper. He had lost 2 quarts of blood. The battle lasted six hours. He had been wounded 37 times.
    He was evacuated to the base camp, examined, and thought to be dead. As he was placed in a body bag among the other dead in body bags, he was suddenly recognized by a friend who called for help. A doctor came and examined him and he too believed Benavidez was dead. The doctor was about to zipper up the bag when Benavidez managed to spit in his face, alerting the doctor that he was still alive.
    For his actions, MSG. Benavidez was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, but it was not until 1980, that one of the man who was in the six hours of hell with the MSG, provided all the eye witness accounts of Benavidez’s actions. For this, his DSC was upgraded to the Medal of Honor.

    Thanks Russ for yet another dose of pseudo science from a wacko website as described by Media Bias/Fact check : “Watts Up with That is a 100% climate denial website. They cite junk science and reject the consensus of climate scientist globally in the pursuit of their denial.” This site has been known to print “unverifiable information that is not always supported by evidence.” The site may be “untrustworthy for credible/verifiable information.”
    The real facts are not going to com from a former TV weatherman (Watts) or Russ Steele who merely parrots the bunk information put out by the fossil fuel industry in their pursuit of profit while endangering the lives of billions of people. To think that climate change is some kind of political football and tens of thousands of scientists the world over are wrong, and Russ and Watts are right, is absurd beyond the belief of rational human beings.

    More examples of messing with the messenger and not addressing the data – sources and methodology. Most ludicrous is the face off between the Left’s ‘thousands of consensus scientists’ vs Steel and Watt by themselves on the other side. Yet that is the best they have ever done and the only thing they are still limited to in their apologetics. The list of skeptical scientists are available on the web along with their reasoned arguments for not embracing preventable man-made global warming.
    But as Einstein said of ‘scientific consensus’ when a team of the world’s leading physicists were proposing to visit him and argue that relativity was wrong – ‘In science you don’t need a team to disprove a theory, one person is enough.’ The corollary to that is that science doesn’t proceed through consensual truths – one scientist’s proposition that withstands experiment is enough.

    Yes, Watts is a propagandist of a sort (written without judgment, it just means he’s promoting his point of view)… but so is John Cook of the wretchedly misnamed skepticalscience website whose mission is to stamp out skepticism. Watts and Russ are both users of meteorology products, Watts in presenting the weather, Russ (in his past) was (someone will correct me if I’m wrong) was a USAF flight navigator; both need a great deal of knowledge of weather processes.
    Yes, climate isn’t weather… it’s the trends in weather. Weather records, weather projections. But you can’t (and probably never will be able to) project future weather accurately, and the further away the projection, the more wrong it will be. Face it, MAGA Dougie, Cross and others, including the FUE, you’re just doing in the blogs what Brownshirts did in person four score years ago… stomping people who dare not follow the one party line.
    The canard of thousands of scientists lined up on one side and Antony watts on the other is ludicrous. Watts is mostly a news aggregator, and there are at most 50 senior scientists driving the IPCC process to their intended results, one of the reasons why there hasn’t been ANY success in narrowing down the central question: if you double the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, what is the change in temperature be?
    In 1979, it was a range estimated (and published in the Charney Report) to be from 1.5C to 4.5C, which, by a great coincidence, is the same in the last IPCC Assessment Report. But physicists working outside the very political IPCC framework are narrowing in on a number between 1 and 1.5C. At some point, without the fabulist claims of alarmists panning out, people will come back to sanity. Yes, CO2 warms the climate somewhat but it does appear to be much lower than natural variations.
