   This is for the fighter pilots and former military strategists!
   Richard Fernandez of the Belmont Club. In a piece he wrote in December 2016, just prior to Trump’s inauguration as our 45th President and in the context of Trump’s signaling with respect to what should be our posture with China, Fernandez wrote that:

   The Democratic Party should stop underestimating Donald Trump. The good news is that he moves at nongovernment speed. The bad news is that, due to his outsider status, nobody knows exactly where he is going.

   Fernandez, like McLaughlin the year before, was noting the uptempo speed of Trump. McLaughlin’s discussion of Trump’s use of the OODA Loop, correctly noted that speed lies at the core of Boyd’s theory of conflict, and has been the most influential element of Boyd’s strategic thinking. Further, “Boyd’s core insight was about the interactive and disruptive nature of speed on human decision-making: success in conflict can be rapid and dramatic if one can “operate inside the OODA Loop” of the opponent.”
   When you begin to understand this, you’re well on your way to understanding our 45th president.

Sea level rise is not accelerating, ice core temperatures rose before the increase in CO2, storms are not increasing, and volcanos are melting Antarctic ice, not warming air temperatures.     Allen is a campaign going nowhere. He has spent more money than he has raise (love those Republican fiscal hawks!) and will be among the also-rans in the June primary. I’ll bet none of the Republican candidates for governor get past the primary.

    A Rand Paul admirer and minor contributer to his Dad’s presidential campaign in the ’80’s, both the spending and military adventures are a concern and enough to keep me from registering GOP… but the enemy of my enemy can be my friend and the current Democratic Party is a wretched excess of identity and collectivist politics.
    The Janus case and an overturning of the California Rule (that public employee pension promises at time of hiring are a minimum requirement that cannot be modified) will be nice to see. Both may be coming soon.

The just passed spending bill was a bipartisan accomplishment (listen to Schumer) that contained almost equal amounts of deficit spending required by Republicans and Democrats. But it seems the Left only sees that the national security items in the bill are budget busters which, now that Trillions Deficit Obama is gone, are suddenly of great concern to those champions of fiscal prudence.
